Amazing Guna Yala island sailing experience
Incredible, authentic taste of the San Blas Islands! 2 nights/2 days in tropical paradise... picturesque tiny palm-fringed islands rimmed with perfect beaches and turquoise blue water; welcoming, friendly, local Guna families to greet us on the inhabited islands; snorkeling with puffer fish, sharks, stingrays, lionfish, and more; a special stop for snorkeling over a constellation of starfish spread across the sand below; night swimming off boat with 5 foot barracuda!; sunset lobster dinner on the boat with fresh catch delivered by local Gunas via dugout canoe; authentic and beautiful handmade crafts available and unique to each island to purchase as memories of our excellent trip. Our boat was not the most luxurious ship on the water, but it was comfortable and met all of our needs. More importantly, our Captain Rafa was experienced and reliable and delivered a great experience with safety and fun. Captain Rafa's wife, Esmerelda, hosted us from afar in Panama City, organizing our transportation to and from the boat, answering all of our questions, and checking and doublechecking that we brought along everything we needed. And we had the special treat of having a local Guna, Elio, as the Captain's first mate. He was considerate and patient, preparing our meals, taking us to and from the islands on the Zodiac, joining us in the ocean to point out the underwater sights, and capping off our last night with a magnificent pan of seafood paella.

Amazing!!
Staying with Rafa and Elio was absolutely amazing. They were both super accommodating and made sure we had all we needed to have a comfortable stay. They showed us around many islands and made sure we stayed well fed and hydrated! Esmeralda was great at staying in touch and making sure we knew where we were to meet up making the trek to San Blas easy. I would 10/10 recommend staying with this crew again. If you’re going to do San Blas and see all this amazing place has to offer, this is the way to do it!

Just book it...You won't regret it...
Our stay with host Rafa in San Blas was great! Esmeralda, his wife, was very communicative from pre to post booking. Everything was arranged and handled for us regarding transportation to/from Panama City/San Blas. From the boat, to the islands, the food, the natives, other travelers, and the host, it was all a wonderful experience. We played beach volleyball, snorkeled, read, relaxed, lounged in hammocks, etc. The only thing that I regret is never taking the kayak out! (It was an option, i just never got around to it). I would definitely book again if we revisit San Blas!

Best relaxation ever!
The booking and arrangement of transportation from Panama City to the sailboat was confusing but went well. The boat and Captain Rafa we’re very nice, even accommodated our very little Spanish. Islands were beautiful and water was crystal clear. Good breeze kept us cool and eliminated any possible bugs. Perfect for those who want to relax, sail, spend time on rustic islands.

I am Spanish and I have been sailing many years and more than one hundred thousand nautical miles sailing the world's oceans. I know perfectly the most impressive corners of San Blas. We have spent the last 7 years here in San Blas. I keep my ship clean and try to give all my guests an unforgettable experience!
From the moment of arrival you will have 1 hour to settle in the catamaran and to know the first island. Then, the adventure of sailing begins. Each day, preferably in the morning, we will move to new islands and sail between 5 to 20 nautical miles (1 to 3 hours), depending on the interests of the guests and the weather conditions.

Once you arrive at a new island, you have time to get to know the place while the crew prepares a delicious typical Espolola lunch as a delicious paella that could be seafood, chicken or vegetables, Spanish omelette, stew Madrid, or food typical of Kuna Yala based on seafood or fish. After lunch we took some time to relax and embark on a snorkeling trip between the coral reef. The captain will accompany each afternoon helping to enjoy the safest and most enjoyable.

My assistant is a kind Kuna boy, who in addition to being able to tell him everything about Kuna yala is a very good cook.

Upon returning to the ship you will be waiting for another delicious aperitif while you delight in one of the most incredible and natural sunsets in the world. Then you have a few hours to relax and take a shower of fresh water before dinner. The following days will continue with the same routine, visiting several islands. The final itinerary is adapted to the guests on board the sailboat, in their interest.

Why they chose this property

The Catamaran in a 13m Fountaine Pajot, with two motors and sails for sailing.
Includes 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner), normally the type of food is Espanola and of course other meals were based on seafood and fish, barbecues or according to your preference, letting us know in advance, accompanied by your respective drink either ( soda, beer or water).
You can enjoy all the areas of the Catamaran and practice water sports, such as kayak, paddle, snorkel, etc ...
We will move from the catamaran to the islands aboard a dinghy with 15cv motor. This will allow us to get closer to coral reefs full of a lot of marine fauna

What makes this property unique

The route starts at 5.30 am, a 4x4 car will pick you up at the hotel where you are staying and will travel the 160 kilometers from Panama City to the Kuna Yala region in 3 hours. (Transportation is not included in the rate).
