About this property

This 5 bedroom, 3600 sq ft home, sleeps 12+ people and has 2 living areas. The upstairs consists of a master bedroom (king bed and 5 piece bath), two additional bedrooms ( 1 full bed and 1 set of bunk beds), and an additional full bathroom. The main floor has one bedroom ( 1 twin with a pull out trundle), and the basement has an additional bedroom (1 king bed) along with a full bath. We keep a baby crib at the house along with several air mattresses if needed. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pots/pans, dishes, glasses, crockpot and even dishes for the kids. We also have a booster seat/high chair for our smallest guests. We are located in Monument, just five minutes from the Air Force Academy North Gate entrance in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood.

This home is furnished with all the items that make it a wonderful 'home away from home': cozy mattresses for a great night's sleep, 2 dining areas to seat 13 comfortably (card table and 4 additional chairs upon request),and wonderful sofas for visiting, relaxing or watching TV/movies. The kitchen is fully furnished with all the cookware and gadgets you need for wonderful meals or snacks. Outside, you will find a relaxing hot tub, a fire pit, 2 grills, and swing set. Come enjoy a wonderful, relaxing vacation - use your 'home away from home' as a base to enjoy all that Colorado Springs and Denver have to offer.

The Colorado Springs airport is about 35 minutes away, as well as the Denver airport being about 1 hr. 10 minutes away. There is so much to see and do... all within a short drive! The Air Force Academy is a quick 5 minute drive. Spend time relaxing on the back deck or go for a walk on the Sante Fe Trail (a 2 minute walk from our front door!). Exploring the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is always a blast! The cog rail will take you up to the top of Pike's Peak, or take a walk through the Garden of the Gods and visit Balancing Rock. Visit Seven Falls or explore the Cave of the Winds. The kids might enjoy Santa's Workshop or driving through the mountains. Cripple Creek is not far away, and Denver is a little over an hour away.

Love this property!

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Absolutely love this home. It’s comfortable, cozy, and spacious. From fresh flowers and homemade cookies waiting for us upon arrival, to the comprehensive list of local sites and amenities, the host is thoughtful, kind and responsive. There’s a nice size, fenced yard for our dogs, plus nearby hiking trails in this quiet, family and dog friendly neighborhood. If you’re visiting the Colorado Springs area, highly recommend this property!

Family Vacation

Lovely home in cute neighborhood

Can I give more than 5 stars?! Loved this home! Perfect location for our trip with plenty of shopping and dining close by. Heather was a gracious host, left us cookies for our arrival-a welcome treat after our long drive. She was available for questions, if needed, but her comprehensive list of instructions for the house contained all the information we needed. The house was impeccably clean and ready for us upon arrival. The fenced yard was a nice size for our 2 medium sized dogs and the neighborhood was cute with walking paths nearby. Thank you for everything-we’ll be back!

Great House, Great Location

We highly recommend this spacious house in a wonderful neighborhood, close to Colorado Springs. The owner was friendly and communicative, even left a huge plate of chocolate chip cookies for us. Having four bathrooms was a treat, and the newly remodeled master bedroom was amazing. We appreciated the hot tub and the pet-friendly environment. Book it with confidence.
