-Kallimarmaro / Panathenaic Stadium
The Panathenaic Stadium, also known as Kallimarmaro is a multi-purpose stadium in Athens, Greece. One of the main attractions of Athens, it is the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble. A stadium was built on the site of a simple racecourse by the Athenian statesman Lykourgos (Lycurgus) c. 330 BC, primarily for the Panathenaic Games. It was rebuilt in marble by Herodes Atticus, an Athenian Roman senator, by 144 AD and had a capacity of 50,000 seats. After the rise of Christianity in the 4th century it was largely abandoned. The stadium was excavated in 1869 and hosted the Zappas Olympics in 1870 and 1875. After being refurbished, it hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the first modern Olympics in 1896 and was the venue for 4 of the 9 contested sports. It was used for various purposes in the 20th century and was once again used as an Olympic venue in 2004. It is the finishing point for the annual Athens Classic Marathon. It is also the last venue in Greece from where the Olympic flame handover ceremony to the host nation takes place.

Thank you for your review.
However, we should point out that it is not stated anywhere that the building has an elevator. Additionally, one set of towels for a 5-day stay is standard practice for all guests. Therefore, we believe that your review does not reflect a fair evaluation.
This property is exactly as promised, the view is amazing! The location is great for travelers who want a quiet spot in a “real” neighborhood. We got lots of great tips from the local vendors, enjoy!
This is THE place to stay in Athens. Spectacular views of the Acropolis from every room. There's even a cut out picture window by the sink so you can look at that magnificent view while cooking. The apartment has been renovated and is clean and bright throughout. Everything is within walking distance - restaurants, shops, museums. It was a glorious stay in Athens. We would love to return someday soon.
A very comfortable stay in an ideal location. The pictures show the amazing view, and the location of the apartment is ideal. It's in a quiet neighborhood that's only a short walk from the Acropolis, the museum, and the hustle and bustle of dining and shopping. We would definitely stay here again.
Comfortable apartment with everything you need on hand. A stunning view and fantastic location in Koukaki. Easy communication with owners and very helpful suggestions regarding travel logistics.
The location and view of the quaint apartment is indeed spectacular. The apartment is super luminious, had all the kitchen essentials (including some spices, oil, vinegar, etc). Host, Mike, met us on time, was very welcoming and responded immediately to any request. I took off a star because the apartment was not well cleaned at check-in (host immediately offered to re-do cleaning) and there was a musty smell (because the weather was nice, we opened all windows and it was not an issue).
Pretty much close to everything. The apartment was what you expect in the pictures and for the price you can’t beat that. Best part were the lime scooters all around if my feet were tired.
This apartment really does have the most amazing acropolis view. You can lie in bed and see it. The small balcony with table and chairs was great for a morning coffee or evening drinks and nibbles, while gazing at the Parthenon and surrounds.
Excellent location and views! Taking the key card out each time you left apartment meant that the apartment was hot when we came back, we could not use washer while we were gone and that we could not charge devices when we were gone. There is no dryer just a washer but clothes do dry fairly rapidly when hung outside. Other than the key card issue, all was excellent

Thank you for your review .Regarding your comment about the electricity card, this specific system is intended primarily for energy savings and for your own safety as also hotels use. In any case we consider your review to be somewhat unfair and rating the apt 6/10 only for the issue of the key card which is a plus for most guests
If you don’t stay here when you go to Athens - you’re missing out! This place is nothing short of perfection! Cozy and cute, with all the necessary amenities, just a short walk to most attractions; monuments, museum, shopping and restaurants - and oh wow what a view!
The apartment is wonderful! You can see the Parthenon from every window.
It has a little porches where you can sip coffee and enjoy the view. The apartment is very clean and the AC works great! Easy walking to all the sights!
Great location, very clean walking distance from many restaurants and bars.
We had a few hiccups trying to change our credit card that got compromised, other than that it was a great experience!
