Enjoy one of our many balconies with nature surrounding you while you listen to the call of the loons, and watch eagles swoop down to catch the many rainbow trout dancing on the lake. You may spot deer, moose or beaver as you sip you coffee or favorite beverage. Enjoy an evening with your family around the beautiful outdoor fire pit under a blanket or stars and at times the northern lights. Relax in the outdoor hot tub overlooking the lake. Cook in one of three indoor kitchens or enjoy the fabulous outdoor screened in kitchen. Enjoy the many water toys provided for you: paddleboards (summer only), kayaks, canoes and a rowboat. Head across the lake to the rope swing ( all at your own risk). Or just go for a swim in warm crystal blue water.

Rainbow Trout Resort is easy to access. It is situated between Hwy 5 (Yellowhead) and Adams Lake. We also have easy paved road access off Agate Bay Road and are just 15 minutes from shopping, 15 minutes from Adams Lake, 45 minutes from Sun Peaks Resort and 50 minutes from Kamloops.

Beautiful family day weekend

This was a wonderful weekend of skating on the lake, ice fishing, home cooked dinners, hot tubbing, snow angels, and smores on the campfire. Manager was accessible and friendly, accommodating on our last minute schedule.

Spent a weekend there skiing. Many sweet things about this cabin- wood fireplace, hot tub, comfortable seating. Not set up well super well for big groups with showers or rooms, but it was overall great.

Peaceful and serene getaway!

Tracy and Brooks were lovely hosts. We had a great time at the property with no issues! Everything was clean and comfortable, with ample space for guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this property to others looking for a place in the area! Hot tub, fire pit (both propane and real wood), lawn for games and a private lake. It was paradise.

Amazing!!

This is such an incredible location for medium to large groups. We just had such a fun weekend playing volleyball on the grass, swimming in the lake, cooking up summer meals on the BBQ, and more. We highly recommend staying at this location if you enjoy the outdoors and enjoy having all your amenities at your fingertips.

Great for multi-generation family gathering

Beautiful property. Only negatives were the listing showed bunk beds but there weren't any, not a big problem, and the cleaning could have been upped a notch. Otherwise it was a great place for kids and adults with lots of space to be together or get some privacy. Enjoyed the big yard and volleyball net and all the water crafts. Would definitely book again.

Awesome place! We love it because it's great for all ages. The private beach makes it relaxing to watch children. Each family could have their space in the separate homes. Everyone had a great time kayaking, lounging and playing games. Thanks Shawn and Tracy!

A place where memories are made!

What a truly special place to get away from the world, relax, and connect with family/friends and nature. Our group of 20 (10 of whom were kids) fell in love with the beautiful lake, the mountains and that hot tub. Nestled up against the lake, it is a private retreat with stunning views and all the amenities (and more) you could ask for. There’s plenty of room for fishing, swimming, boating, kayaking, campfires, outdoor picnics, and space to kick a ball around. Tracy & Shawn we’re truly accommodating. We hope to make it a yearly visit.

Blissful weekend at Rainbor Trout Resort

The property is on a magical piece of land right near the water’s edge at Forest Lake. So pristine, in touched nature surrounding you was absolute heaven. The dock and decks open to this wonderful view that you could just watch for days. The loons gave us a spectacular show!! The weather moves in and out quickly which highlights the rainbow name. The home is warm and cozy and perfect for a group I would say if adults 12 at most. We had 10 and it was lovely. Adults sharing double beds is not likely to happen. The kitchen was beautiful and very stocked with all that you need. The hot tub is a fabulous add on. And overall I recommend this place for maybe 3 families or 12 adults max. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the communication was top notch.

Lovely stay for large family groups

We had a family of 18 stay, and it was such a lovely location with great fun had by all. The canoes and kayaks were used all day, and the swimming was wonderful. The caretaker was lovely, and checked in half way through our 9 day stay. I could look at that view all day. The only thing that would have made the stay more comfortable would be a bit more equipment in the kitchen. We bought a pancake grill to use there- it was a must, but for our group we were often short on cutlery, utensils, and serving dishes. We made good use of the lovely kitchen and outdoor grilling area. The shower in the main house was small and a bit difficult, but there were showers in the chalet and shack that served us well. We hope to come back again, soon! Thanks for sharing your little slice of paradise. Our family made some lovely memories there!

Great spot, lots of short comings.

Do not trust this bedroom list. It was not close to accurate and as a result, We had to have people sleeping on the floor. One of the spaces listed is basically a furnished shed with no power, no insulation and no weather sealing. It would be fine for Summer, but when I was up there it -10 to -20 overnight. Also, the hot tub didn't work when we arrived and by the time it heated up, we lost a night. And then we noticed the water was green. Also, one of the bathrooms had a plumbing issue so we were down a bath/shower with a group of 13 people. Beautiful location, beautiful cabin, but far from issue free.

Beautiful and Serene. Can't Wait to Return!

We stayed at Tracy and Shawn's place as a group of 10 adult family/friends, for a belated "Friendsgiving" weekend. We were totally wowed by the property and the accommodations -- stepping inside the Chateau felt like being on the show Yellowstone. I was only briefly inside the Chalet, but the guys who stayed in there said it was great too, and the fact that it was fully equipped with its own kitchen and bathroom made the logistics of a large group much simpler. Saturday morning, the sun broke over the hills and the lake was as still as glass. We took our coffee sitting at the fire table on the back porch and watched the ducks and loons swim by, and when we went out to fish we saw horses drinking from the lake. The hot tub and fire pit were wonderful to have, as the weather was just starting to turn a bit cool during our stay. The beds are soft, linens are quality, and the kitchen in the Chateau is lovely; it was so nice to have everything labeled and easily found -- it made cooking a big dinner a breeze! Communication with Shawn was easy and responsive, and we immensely appreciate everything he did to accommodate our stay, including allowing a later check-out with short notice. In all, we cannot say enough good things about this property and the hosts, and we are already discussing when we should go back!

Mouse issue!

This was our second stay at this property as a large family group. It is an incredible place with plenty of room. The biggest reason we love it is of course the location and privacy. There are plenty of amenities and things to do both in the water and on the property . However this trip there were some concerns. The biggest issue being the mice problem. Having stayed there before we understand that doors need to be closed at all times and food can't be left out etc. But this visit things were seemingly out of control. So much that even while we were in the kitchen cooking and eating, mice were running over the counters. We ended up having to throw out a lot of our food as a result. We were extremely diligent and so this leads us to believe there's definitely an infestation happening. We found mice droppings in our food, our cups, on our plates and even in our cars and our bags when we got home. The last visit we did see the occasional mouse which was to be expected but this time was completely unacceptable. Outside was difficult as well, with mice running all over the deck while we were sitting there and that combined with the wasp and hornet issue made it quite unpleasant and unbearable.I should also mention the hot tub was filthy after one use, so it was unusable. Sadly I don't think we will be back in the future. For the price we expected better! The owners had been wonderful to deal with however, we tried to reach them while on site, but got no response.

Great family gathering getaway!

We gathered with my family and found it checked all the things we valued in such a place: 1. Not a touristy area or tourist trap. Natural, but not super remote or primitive either. Check 2. Accessible water and related sports, especially for the grandkids (aged 4 to 8). Check! The kayaks and paddleboards were well used, as was the dock for swimming! 3. Private spaces, with great common area for hanging out and playing games. Check! My gang is into board games. The libraries were also a bonus touch and were well perused. New favourite authors were found by some!
