Great spot for family vacation

We spent 9 days at this lovely Hendaye house and had a wonderful time. Pros: -well situated- 2 blocks to the beach and 2 blocks to the bay -owner was very quick to respond and answer questions -large backyard perfect for kids to play in and to eat outdoors -spacious bedrooms Cons: -situated near the airport and planes fly right overhead early each morning -no clothes dryer, clothes must be hung up to dry, a major hassle Over all, I would stay here again without a doubt, hopefully they get a clothes dryer though.

The host gave us grear ideas on where to go in France. A greay list amwe were not disappointed. We had 14 family members staying and we didn't feel crowded. The Villa is large. The parking was great so we didn't have to pay parki g charges everyday. I eould highly reccomend staying here.

Really good location and size was good for a large family group but the property was a bit dated and in need of a bit of updating. Overall the property was fine but it would benefit from new furniture, such as comfy beds (they were hard to sleep on), kitchen utensils (e.g. toaster tripped the fuse board, broken crockery etc.) and some appliances (one of the fans started to burn). Plus some of the property needed maintenance, such as a nail sticking out of the floorboards and tiles on the veranda all broken. This extended to the garden furniture, which had a number of broken items, such as chairs and the sofa on the veranda. For the price of the accommodation, the number of these things added up to making it poor value for money. All of this feedback was provided to the host on check-out. We hope this will be improved for future guests, as the place is ideally situated for enjoying Hendaye.

We found the property very spacious with good bedrooms and good communal areas. The house is well equipped and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The off street parking is a real bonus if you arrive by car as parking in the surrounding streets is very limied. One of the few properties we have visited that matches the photos on the website. One small difficulty for people outside of the EU is the need for 1,000 euro deposit. This can result in the renter travelling home with 1,000 euros they cant spend and have to incur costs in having to convert it back to their own currency. If the deposit could be taken on a credit card it would be much easier.

Family vacation

My wife and I brought our three young adult offspring and their spouses, along with a three year and a three month old to this part of the world. The plan was to explore the area from Biarritz to Pamplona to San Sebastian. We wanted to be in walking distance to stores and restaurants in case someone wanted to stay home from an excursion at any time. There are virtually no large apartments in any of the city centers which is what led us to Hendaye, where we found this home which suited our needs perfectly. Home was spacious in a great location and very well maintained. Ainhoa met us and we moved in seamlessly. She was fantastic with her help and guidance vis a vis restaurants and how things worked. Great house for entertaining. We had a wonderful stay for a week, we visited everywhere we wanted to go with only Pamplona taking more than a hour. The home contributed greatly to our enjoyment.

Très bon séjour.

Maison idéale pour des vacances en famille. Avons passé un excellent séjour , emplacement idéal. Propreté parfaite et cuisine très bien équipée. Jardin idéal pour les enfants et pour les plus grands. Accueil très chaleureux.

Maison tout confort pour séjour entre amis

Cette maison est idéale pour un séjour entre amis avec possibilité de manger en groupe en terrasse ou sur la grande table à l'intérieur en fonction du temps. Les équipements de la cuisine sont de qualité, les salles de bains parfaitement rénovées et celle du rdc était bien adaptée à notre ami à mobilité réduite.. Un merci particulier à Ana pour sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse.

Globalement tres bien mais bruit + literie à améliorer

Plage accessible à pieds donc très pratique mais environnement urbain donc bruit qui empeche de dormir (voitures, poubelles, propreté voierie, avions). Maison tres propre, deco éclectique mais chaleureuse, avec beaucoup de différents espaces où chacun peut s’isoler. Matelas et oreillers pas de tres grande qualité : à améliorer. Prix un peu élevé pour les prestations globales. Il manque une théière ! Tres bon accueil par Ana.

Great stay close to everything you need for a great vacation

The home is exactly as described, we had a great stay! The only trouble we had was arriving to the home. Google maps has you driving the wrong direction on one way streets. The house can only be accessed from one side. Some details on how to access the house in the arrival section of the app would be very helpful!

Spacious, tasteful, comfortable, perfectly located

Villa Ohantcea was perfect for our three families of friends, each with children (9-15 age range). We spent a wonderful week in Hendaye largely because the house is located two blocks from the beach, and it is very well furnished. The large living room never seemed too crowded, and the children (ok, adults too) played ball and frisbee in the large garden. We enjoyed barbecue evenings in the garden. We all highly recommend this place.

vraiment très agréable mais ...

maison très agréable, avec un beau caché, pas trop loin de la mer, spacieuse, bien équipe en salle de bain Wc. accueil très sympa Mais a proximité du ports avec des bruits de karcher +++ toute la journée du samedi le bruit des avions qui décélère pour atterrir juste au dessus de la maison. hyper flippant la maison est prévu pour 14 mais l'équipement en casserole et la plaque de cuisson ne sont pas proportionné pour autant de monde
