Large apartment of character with private courtyard.

Very nice quiet apartment of 110 sqm, in building of character with stained glass windows, moldings, high ceilings, beautiful volumes. Completely renovated for 6 to 8 people. 1 bedroom with 140 bed, 1 bedroom with 2 beds 140, sofa bed 140 in the living room, 1 large bathroom with Italian shower. Separate WC.
You will stay in Square Gambetta, ideally located 10 minutes walk from the medieval city and 5 minutes from the city center. In summer the municipal pool is 10 minutes walk along the banks of the Aude quietly
Free parking 2 minutes or fee just in front of the apartment. Station 10 minutes walk. Airport shuttle 2 minutes.
You will find everything necessary for a pleasant stay: washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, sheets and towels provided, kitchen.
A private and shaded courtyard of 35m² will welcome you for a moment of relaxation after enjoying our beautiful region.

We really enjoyed our stay! The place is spacious, comfortable, and features a beautiful interior courtyard that’s perfect for relaxing. It’s also conveniently located just a short walk from the beautiful city of Carcassonne, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. We would happily stay here again.

We had a lovely stay. Parking was occasionally difficult. There were steps down to the appartment which I didn't pick up from the listing and steps up yo one of the bedrooms. My friend has mobility issues so it would have been good to know.

Fabulous place to stay!

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is located close to the town and to the cite - so you can walk to both for a great holiday. It has a lovely outdoor area which was sunny but cool and the house was a haven from the hot weather. The check in and check out process were easy and as explained beforehand. Thank you - we will be coming back again to visit.

Beautiful, spotless, and fully equipped spacious apartment in a perfect location between the Cité and Bastide — cafés and restaurants just steps away. Yes, it’s a little dark and one bedroom faces the street, which does mean you can hear some traffic noise, but those are small trade‑offs for the charm, comfort, free parking, and very friendly host.

Wonderful location close to the town and a short walk to the old bridge to go the cite. Perhaps a bit dark but the evenings were fine.

Carcasonne weekend

The apartment is in an excellent location. We had 2 nights and we could walk to the castle city within 10-12 minutes and we were also near to the city centre the other side and had a lovely tapas meal out .

Well located, near old city and main shopping, short walk to train and canal du midi. Host was responsive to queries.Improvements, outside area to be swept and chairs cleaned, plus solar lighting on stairs would be safer when coming back in the dark.

The property itself was lovely and I would stay there again. However although it is advertised with WiFi and I could see a booster, I didn't get a password for the WiFi before hand and did not get a response from the owner even after messaging them twice

We had a lovely stay , only one concern were the lumpy cushions used for pillows, other than that the apartment was clean , spacious ,and well located. Beautiful details , especially the shower !

The place is in a good location close to the Cite. The only issues are that one bedroom is close to the main road which can be loud with cars. The other issue is the password for the wifi needs to be typed out as reading the hand written one was very difficult. Great host and even brought us extra toilet paper. It’s overall a good place to go and very private.

Carcassonne- Gateway to south of france

Location is excellent. We rented a car and travelled to Monticello Carlo, Cannes, and Marseille. Visited several wine houses in the area Limouix etc. Recommend Le Table de la Vatican and Le Divine Comedie near the rental. The rental is large and building old which offers character and takes you back in time But it needed to be aired out-musty; it was cold but host was unable to change and no smart tv. Overall, a good place to stay

Great location and quirky apartment

Stayed for 3 nights in May 2024. The apartment is really quirky, well serviced and contains all you need for a short stay. The location is excellent 3 mins walk from the bridge to the old town and 3 mins from the new town centre with its lovely shops and restaurants. There is a little road noise in the front bedroom. The outside space wasn’t really usable for my family.

Good location

Location is excellent - 20 minute walk to old city. Rooms are large. Living and dining area good, bedrooms not so good. Bedroom with 2 doubles was dark and not especially clean. Very strange bedding all of which is old and needs replacing. Pillows were awful. Electrical sockets in unhelpful places. Kitchen well equipped. Outside space could be charming but it was dirty and had poor quality furniture. Needs an upgrade. Towels were also limited in supply and poor quality.

Apartamento grande, espacioso, cómodo, con todo lo que es necesario para tener una estancia agradable.La situación es además óptima. Cerca del casco histórico, pero sin estar inmerso en la vorágine turística. Cerca del centro de la ciudad, donde se puede hacer vida con los habitantes de la misma sin estar rodeado de turistas.Como único punto negativo, decir que el apartamento está en un sótano.Por un lado está bien, ya que se mantiene fresco en verano. Pero cuando se abren las ventanas de la habitación grande con 2 camas, estas dan a la plaza y el tráfico pasa justo al lado, lo cual no es agradable. Por lo tanto, se pueden abrir un rato, pero para dormir hay que cerrarlas. Aunque tampoco es muy conveniente dormir con ventanas abiertas, ya que no hay mosquiteras.

Very centrally located and very smooth and easy check in process. The only issue I would have is that the property could benefit from a deep clean as it is a bit uncared for in some parts. If it was thoroughly cleaned and refreshed it would be excellent. It is a very nice appartement, but is let down a bit by the cleanliness.

Die Wohnung ist prima gelegen. Zur Burg wie auch in die Stadt kommt man in wenigen Minuten. Die Ausstattung ist außergewöhnlich, allerdings fehlt durch das Souterrain Licht und an feuchten Tagen muss man oft lüften. Besonders gut war Kommunikation sowie Check in und out.

Llegamos de noche y no había luz en el patio, no sé veía nada, y no encontrábamos las escaleras para llegar al apartamento. En la habitación que está elevada se escucha día y noche un ruido(cómo un transformador) que es muy molesto para dormir La propietaria nos atendió bien en todo momento
