About this property
Spacious period home in Margate - Wilderness Rooms near the sea
A few minutes' walk from Margate's trendy Old Town, the main sands and Turner Contemporary, Wilderness Rooms is a spacious, family-friendly three-bedroom retreat. The house is located in a quiet residential cul de sac with private parking spaces for two cars but just minutes from the sea and all Margate's attractions.
Quirky and characterful period home, set over two floors with three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin), spacious living room and huge kitchen diner with dishwasher. Family bathroom and additional downstairs cloakroom.
Suitable for families and quiet groups.
The house is located in a very quiet private development in trendy Cliftonville, minutes from the sea and close to all amenities. We are approximately 10 minutes' walk from the Old Town, a couple of minutes from Margate's famous Shell Grotto, and a short walk to the seafront.
We have two private off-road parking spaces. Courtyard garden with garden furniture.
There is space to store bikes (at your own risk) in the downstairs utility area if you want to take advantage of the Viking Coastal Trail.
Travel cot and high chair provided - please bring your own cot bedding.
Wifi and Freesat TV with iPlayer etc.
Cliftonville is a vibrant, rapidly changing area of Margate with a range of hip cafes, vintage shops and galleries opening up. Margate's Old Town, Turner Contemporary, Dreamland and the Shell Grotto are all within easy walking distance. A great base for exploring the beautiful local beaches and the neighbouring towns of Ramsgate and Broadstairs.
Getting around
We have private parking directly outside the property. Local buses stop round the corner. Bus stop for The Loop serving Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate is 2 minutes away. Alternatively Margate rail station is a 25-minute walk.
