About this property

Delightful seaside cottage, central, quiet with free parking. Sleeps 4+1

Number 5 is a beautiful light and airy seaside home. It is a 1 minute walk from the beach and close to Deal Pier. It is situated in the old town which is quiet but close to the main shopping area full of independent shops, fantastic cafes and many restaurants.

Number 5 has a sunny garden and parking for one car to the front; this is a real bonus in the centre of town as parking on the road is hard to find and it is expensive in the car parks. If you are bringing more than one car then there is a residents car park around the back of the property which you are welcome to park in if there is space.

It is suitable for all age groups with the ability to place a cot in the double bedroom if needed. Number 5 has a well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine.

There are books and board games and a selection of DVD's for you to use during your stay.

If you are bringing children then there is a travel cot, a baby bath, high chair, stair gate, changing mat and toys so that you don't have to bring all of these with you.

There are 3 bedrooms, one with a double, one with twin beds and the third is a single.

There are 2 bathrooms, one is downstairs which has a toilet, sink and shower, and one is upstairs with a bath, toilet and sink.

Deal is a beautiful seaside town with lots to do. It has 2 historic castles, a museum and the only post war pier in the country with an award winning restaurant at the pier head. Deal has wonderful Georgian architecture, a bandstand playing live music, a weekly market and a wonderful beach.

There is amazing cycle rides and walks in the area. You can walk across the cliffs to St Margaret's Bay or cycle to Betteshanger Country Park.

There are many restaurants to choose from and a wide range of cafes and bistros.

Deal has an array of independent shops having won the High Street of the Year award.

There are plenty of places to visit; the medieval city of Canterbury is a 30 minute drive, Broadstairs and Margate are just along the coast, and France is an 1hr 15 min ferry crossing away - so don't forget your passport.

Number 5 has its own parking. It is within 2 minute walk to the town, beach, shops, bars and restaurants. It is not affected by noise as the closest bars shut at 9pm.

It is an 8 minute walk from the train station which has trains to London every hour taking approximately 1hr 30 mins.

The house had everything you need and some nice additional touches. Location is perfect.. a few minutes walk to the beach, and located on the high street but very quiet end so no noise at all. Would definitely recommend!

Cannot recommend this house enough! My family & I stayed here whilst we explored Deal and had the best time. Location fabulous, house spotless on arrival & a very detailed book to hand explaining all the local information you would ever need to know about. Cannot wait to return sometime!

Great location in lovely Deal

Located on the High Street, a few minutes walk away from loads of independent shops in the lovely town of Deal. Going in a slightly different direction, a short walk through cute lanes, past smuggling cottages, to the seafront. Deal is a lovely town, and even at this 'dead' time of the year between Christmas and New Year, the place looked bustling and attractive. Clare's house has everything you could possibly need - plenty of games and DVD's when the weather is terrible! - and we appreciated the box of biscuits on arrival. A very enjoyable stay.

The Bournes

Ants in kitchen. Lack of cleaning materials. Dishwasher not satisfactory. Defunct lightbulb in kitchen. Had to buy batteries for tv remote. Could not open garden gates. I was not able to go myself but my friends have completed this form. I was shocked to be told that there was no bed in the small bedroom. We hired the house on the understanding that it was three bedrooms which we needed. Although I could not be there on Saturday I was hoping to come later in the week. I feel the house was not as described, which listed double, twin and single rooms, and I think we need a partial refund as the house was not as described.

Excellent property, nd perfect location. My only gripe was in the family bathroom, details said shower. Yes there was one but it didn't have a shower rail . So not quite a functioning upstairs shower. Thats it everything else was lovely and all Credit to the owner. Thank you so much We will be back .

Lovely house, great location

We stayed here just before Christmas last year and had a lovely stay. We booked it for my parents, who really enjoyed staying there and loved the house and location. So convenient having parking, and can walk everywhere quickly.

We found the house to be very comfortable, with car parking available on the front drive, a three minute walk to the beach, and five minutes into the town.We had a very enjoyable week in a perfect location in deal.

Wunderbarer Urlaub

Leider ging unser Urlaub viel zu schnell vorbei. Wir haben uns in Clares Haus von Anfang an wohl gefühlt. Der Kontakt mit ihr im Vorfeld verlief problemlos, schnell und super freundlich. Wir durften am Ankunftstag früher als geplant ins Haus, nochmals vielen Dank dafür! Die Lage des Hauses kann nicht besser sein: zentral und dennoch ruhig. In wenigen Augenblicken ist man zu Fuß mitten im Geschehen.

Great house!

This property was just what we wanted. Very clean and comfortable with all the facilities we needed. Maybe a couple of games like Scrabble or backgammon would add to possibilities when it is raining. Can’t wait to be stay there again.

I grew up in Deal, then moved away for a while before returning to start my family. I have two children aged 17 and 20. I decided to do holiday lets in this property as it is a great location and Deal is a delightful place to visit. I live with my family in Deal, I am a teacher in a local secondary school.

What makes this property unique

The property is really central and close to the beach, everything is within walking distance. It also has the added bonus of parking which is rare in this part of the town. The house has a small, garden that is a real sun trap.
