This property is an excellent base for exploring Canterbury. It's quiet and secluded, yet still close to all amenities. The grocery store is a short walk, and the local pub is a great place to unwind after your days adventure.
This was the perfect place for us! The location is great! Shops, transportation and dining all within walking distance. Nice quiet neighborhood, and the beds are very comfortable!

A revisit to this beautiful cottage in the heart of Canterbury The host, Neil, is always very friendly and keeps in touch prior to our stay We had a lovely Christmas there and plan to go again !
Augustine’s cottage is a lovely, old house in a set of row houses just outside of the walls of the City of Canterbury. Close to the cathedral and city centre but very quiet and absolutely charming. There is a lovely garden out front and a deck with a BBQ and back yard out back. The downstairs has a living room, dining room, sun-filled kitchen, and bathroom with shower. There are two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with tub and shower upstairs. There is a Waitrose just around the corner for all of your shopping needs.Do visit the cathedral and abbey and take the opportunity to attend choral evensong at 5:30 pm. We enjoyed our stay immensely and highly recommend this property.
Excellent accommodation. Ample room for family of five and its pet friendly. Nice little garden at back. Neil arranged parking at nearby car park. Close to town centre everything within walking distance
Lovely little Gem . In the heart of the city but so quite.
Had a fab time. The property was perfect for us. Beds amazingly comfortable. Fab location central to everything but nicely tucked away. Would certainly use again.

Parking is off site but close by. Parking permit was organised by the owner. Grocery shopping walkable nearby. Very central for Canterbury town Center.
We had a great time at Augustine's Cottage. The location is excellent, 5-10 minutes' walk from downtown and the cathedral, and even closer to Augustine's Abbey. The long walk along the river has some beautiful parks and then open countryside and is a nice break from the crowds on the high street. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed lunches in the back yard with sandwiches from nearby Phoebe's. Definitely a place to return to.
Wonderful experience apart from two items that might have been helpful to know in advance: parking at a distance due to challenges accessing the property by road; the precipitous stair case which would be a significant challenge to anyone with even slight mobility challenges. However property wonderful; hosts very attentive.
Well-stocked, great location (you can see Canterbury Cathedral spires from the front garden), charming decor and spacious floor plan easily sleeps four or five. My kids loved the extras (X-box with plenty of offline games), and my wife and I enjoyed watching some DVD’s from the owner’s collection, including the Spielberg classic ET, on the widescreen TV in the parlor. Warm gas fireplace in parlor and instructions on how to use. Much better option than any local hotel!
Perfect location to main street (mall) of Canterbury only being maybe 10 minute or less walk. Well stocked to cater for guests including books for light reading. Heating system was very effective. Garden patio with table and chairs in front and back were appreciated on the fine, sunny days. Booklet of general town information and instructions for the heating system and tv etc kept us well informed. Check in information was easy to follow. Initial communication on booking was also easy to navigate. Beds were comfortable. Two rooms and two bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this cottage.
