About this property

Charming holiday home in the heart of Salento

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, timeless place to spend your holidays and take a break from the world, MEDITERRANEA is the perfect place for your stay. The house is characterized by a wabi sabi atmosphere, with design elements and essential lines. We fell in love with this idyllic part of Italy and we hope you will appreciate the enchanted beauty of its landscapes, the warmth of people and the extraordinary flavors of food.
As a result of a recent renovation of an old soap factory, respectful of Puglia's traditional architecture, MEDITERRANEA is our home when we can go and will be at your exclusive disposal. The property consists of two bedrooms, a large living area with two sofas to be also used as two supplementary comfortable beds, two bathrooms (one en-suite with bathtub and shower and the other one with shower). As to the outside, you will find a cozy area perfect for dining, sunbathing or for relaxing. Rocco, a local friend, will be looking after the house and will welcome you. He will come by some afternoons to water the plants and should you have special requests (cooking or tiding up), please do not hesitate to ask for his service. He is known for being a fantastic cook and he could teach you to make orecchiette, a delicious local homemade pasta!
As to the location, MEDITERRANEA is located in the heart of Spongano, a charming Salento village, just a few km away from the beautiful sea of the Castro Gulf. It is situated in the middle of Salento, 30 km South of Lecce and the location is the right starting point for exploring Salento's wonderful beaches both in the East and West coast. You will therefore be able to enjoy the historical center of Lecce and the plenty of late baroque charming villages scattered around the area and stroll around the beautiful campaigns with their olive groves and dry walls. Supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, coffee shop and restaurant are at a walking distance. Free parking is also available nearby. In the house you will also find a copybook with useful addresses and suggestions on possible excursions to go on, restaurants to visit and activities to do.
We are an Italian-Spanish couple living between Italy and Spain. Monica works as a journalist and raku ceramist while Martin is a graphic designer and flamenco musician. We love traveling, reading, writing, cooking, photography and video making

Prachtig huis met buitenverblijf

De woning is zeer ruim opgezet. Heel fijn 'buiten', heerlijk terras, 's avonds ook een gezellige plek voor apperetivo of diner. Communicatie met eigenaar verloopt zeer goed. Kan dit huis aan iedereen aanbevelen!

Wundervoll wohnen in wundervoller Umgebung

Spongano ist ein optimaler Standort, um ohne lange Wege die Küste des Salento, die Landschaften und die vielen wundervollen Städtchen und Dörfer zu erkunden. Selten haben wir auf unseren vielen Reisen in einem so großzügigen, wundervollen und geschmackvoll ausgestatteten Haus mit großer Gartenterrasse wohnen dürfen. Ein Traum! Es ist ein Traum in diesem Haus zu wohnen

Unser Aufenthalt in dieser FEWO war äußerst angenehm. Das Haus ist außergewöhnlich geschmackvoll ausgebaut und eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und kann nur staunen über die vielen schönen Dinge. Das Badezimmer ist ein eigenes Luxus Spa. Auch der Freisitz ist gemütlich, ruhig und uneinsehbar. Gerne kommen wir wieder in dieses schöne Haus und die wunderbare Gegend. Man kann einen Urlaub in dieser Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Séjour chez Monica et Martin

Accueil et présence exceptionnelle de Rocco. Maison spectaculaire et avec toutes les facilités , les sponganeses sont tous accueillants et chaleureux . De la minute de la réservation jusqu’à notre depart, tout était parfait. Rocco est d’une disponibilite impressionnante et Monica d’une gentillesse infinie. Nous recommandons à 200%!!!!

In einer liebevoll und sensibel restaurierten ehemaligen Seifenfabrik genossen wir ein paar schöne Tage. Alles ist hochwertig renoviert und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet - es fehlt an nichts. Der Empfang war ebenfalls sehr freundlich, man hatte uns sogar Milch für den Kaffee in den Kühlschrank gestellt. In der Gegend gibt es bekanntermaßen viel zu tun, aber auch einfach zu Hause sitzen ist eine Freunde. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft gerne weiter.

Casa molto accogliente

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa proprietà per 2 settimane in luglio, ci siamo trovati benissimo. La casa è proprio come si vede nelle foto, emana una bellissima energia! Molto spaziosa e molto accogliente. Sia il custode che i proprietari sono stati gentilissimi e molto disponibili. Ottima anche la posizione che permette di raggiungere facilmente molte spiagge. Vacanza indimenticabile 😍😍
