In addition to providing breathtaking ocean views, this particular location affords a relaxing distance from the hustle and bustle of Duke's Restaurant. The solitude is exceeded only by the luxury of the space itself.

As one of only four ALI'I (Hawaiian word for 'royalty') units for rent by owner in the newest tower at Honua Kai, these are the largest 3BR oceanfront floor plans for rent by owner at the resort and they feature private Viking BBQ grills on the expansive wraparound lanai (balcony)!! The beautiful ocean front views offered by Konea 350 will help you settle into the soothing Maui experience immediately, embracing you in her naturally calm & rejuvenating ambience.

Konea 350's interior comfort blends the resplendent charm of old Hawaii with the sophistication of modern master craftsmanship and design. This opulent suite accommodates up to eight guests in three king-sized beds and one queen-sized convertible sofa sleeper. Each bedroom has an accompanying luxury bath for each party's privacy.

We encourage you to express your culinary creativity in the gourmet chef’s kitchen. The space is fully equipped with stainless steel Viking appliances including dual ovens, an upgraded Sub-Zero refrigerator, and a built-in wine fridge. There is plenty of space on the ample granite countertops and we have provided all the cookware & utensils for you to prepare the perfect meal or refreshment…just bring the ingredients. Enjoy your meals on the spacious ocean view balcony or dine indoors in the climate controlled air conditioning. In addition, our commercial grade Vitamix blender lends itself well to preparing creative libations or smoothies with fresh local produce.

Honua Kai sits beachfront in North Kaanapali so you will literally be just steps away from the tranquility of Maui’s shoreline. An “Ohana Play Package” including Tommy Bahama beach chairs, BBQ equipment, and a portable cooler is provided complimentary.

Wonderful!

We were not disappointed. This unit has it all, and I imagine it is one of the best at Honua Kai. Each morning we woke up to the lovely sound of the birds then relaxed on the spacious balcony with our coffee and beautiful views! There was plenty of room for the 5 of us, even with one member of our party working remotely for a fraction of our vacation. The laundry room was very convenient and no longer has an odor as mentioned in a previous review. Also, the beach chairs were new and very handy. The kitchen is clean and worked well for cooking breakfast as well as a couple of dinners. There’s a food truck area very close by with a variety of food. Duke’s is on the premises and also serves the pool area. There is good snorkeling along the beach. The elevator can be slow. Being on the 3rd floor, we enjoyed using the stairs which are right next to the unit. There was zero noise from the other units. The bedrooms do not have ocean views but the living area, kitchen, balcony views are incredible. Two of the three bedrooms have attached bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. We had the best time and would definitely rent this unit again!

Disappointed for the price

The corner location, overall space, and ocean-front view was amazing. However, the condo needed attention. The toilet did not flush properly, there were unsightly stains on the fabric furniture, the laundry unit smelled like mold, the beach chairs were rusty and ripped, and the light-up makeup mirrors in both bathrooms did not light up. Given the price we paid for our stay, the condo did not meet our expectations.

Great view

This was our 3rd stay at the Honua Kai Resort (within 3 different, 3 bedroom residences), the grill on the patio and the larger outdoor space really made this unit stand out for us. But what impressed us the most was the management company, Maui Resort Rentals. Their free shuttle service practically anywhere you wanted to go on the island was so convenient and always on time. And, everyone, from the staff answering the phones, shuttle driver, to the management was so friendly, courteous and quick on response time to answer any questions. So no matter which rental you pick, be sure to go with Maui Resort Rentals. And if you happen to pick this residence, you will be very happy you did!
