SANDY BEACH RESORT New remodel with air conditioning. Beach 2min walk!

Paradise. This spacious beach home has a 2 LEVEL OPEN FLOOR PLAN with 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms and A/C. We are building #37, Unit 243.

BEACH: The Travel Channel named our Poipu Beach “America’s Best Beach” and we can see why. This beach is pristine with soft, clean sand. The protected sandy beach cove is a 2-3 minute walk through our resort's grass!

SNORKEL: We provide snorkel gear. Walk slightly east around the beach and you are in the perfect place for snorkeling. So many fish! The protected sandy beach cove is a 2-3 minute walk away!

BEACH EQUIPMENT: surf board, 4 beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, etc.

REMODELED IN 2020. Step inside this beautiful home located in building 37, #243.

A/C in every room

FREE ATHLETIC CLUB AND FAMILY POOL. This is a family friendly resort pool with waterslide, waterfalls, jacuzzi, and sandy shore baby pool.

POOLSIDE BAR AND GRILL that has reasonable prices for a convenient meal.

YOGA, TENNIS AND PICKLE BALL COURTS, basketball courts (with complimentary paddles and balls).

KIAHUNA GOLF COURSE is located across the street from the resort.

The interior has ocean inspired artwork from exclusive galleries on Kauai. The acacia tree wood dining table adds modern elegance. It seats up to 6 people with the added mango wood bench.

This is our personal home for part of the year and we have given it that extra touch of comfort and elegance.

Linens, bedding, and a fully equipped kitchen. There are new mattresses in every bedroom. Beach chairs and beach towels are complimentary to our guests - just present towel cards at the Beach Hut - no need to pack them.

CLEANING FEE ($341 +tax) for stay for less than 10 days will be collected upon check-in.

Free High-speed Internet and 3 flat screen TV's to give you the comfort and services that you expect in a resort. Wi-Fi service in our condo is included at no cost. Although we do not have a wash/dryer inside our condo, there is an onsite laundry (it takes credit cards) for the guests.

2 lanai porches to enjoy our Hawaiian garden view.

Restaurants are across the street in the Poipu Shopping Village. Keoki’s Paradise is a favorite eating establishment of ours with live music.

Travel a couple of blocks down the road and you will find The Shops at Kukuiula. This is an enchanting place with live music at night, gourmet restaurants, Lappert's homemade ice cream/specialty coffees/pastries, a Long's Drugs, art galleries, high-end shopping, and twinkle lights on the palm trees. On Wednesday afternoons you can shop at the Kauai Farmer's Market.

We have stayed at the Kiahuna Plantation many times and this unit has been the best so far. The unit was updated and comfortable. The A/C units were a plus. Easy parking. Would stay there again.

Great location to walk to beach, shops, and food.

This VRBO has everything needed to comfortably relax and enjoy some downtime. Our family appreciated that the shared space (lanai, kitchen, dining, and living room) was on a different level than the bedrooms and bathrooms. We had 2 adults and 2 teenagers in the VRBO and had plenty of space to sit together as well as separately when we wanted some privacy. We also appreciated the quality of the furniture, especially the mattresses and bedding. I've stayed in enough VRBOs to know this is not always a given. One thing to be aware of in these units (not just this VRBO) is that there are shudders vs glass windows in the kitchen and bedrooms. This allows noise to easily travel in (and out) at all times of the day which is most problematic in the guest bedroom if you are a light sleeper due to other nearby guests and roosters. From the VRBO, it's a short walk to anything you need - grocery, coffee, fitness, pool, beach, etc. Overall, this is a great property and I would definitely stay here again.

Walk to everything from this upgraded vacation property

We were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional proximity of this unit to various amenities. It was truly delightful that our teenagers had the convenience of walking to the beach, shopping plaza, restaurants, and the athletic club. Speaking of the club, it exceeded our expectations in every way. The photographs don’t capture the true essence of both the condo and club; they are even more impressive in person. Opting for the upgraded unit was unquestionably a wise decision, and the disparity between it and another unit we viewed was substantial. We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to engage in tennis, exercise, and dining directly across the street at the club. Moreover, the adjacent plaza offered an array of outstanding dining options, including Mexican, Thai, sushi, gelato, and Italian (notably featuring a superb gluten-free crust), among several others. When deciding between the north end (Princeville area) and this location, we couldn't be happier with our choice of the south side, which offers a wealth of family-friendly activities & beautiful beaches. The property boasts comfy beds, large TVs, a selection of books and games, as well as a fully equipped kitchen, making our stay all the more enjoyable. It was meticulously cleaned and well-maintained. I highly recommend this beachside community. I'd like to commend the owners for their excellent communication and their unwavering commitment to ensuring that guests have the best possible vacation experience.

We loved our week in Laura's condo! She was lightning fast responsive, extremely helpful in her replies, and very accurate in her descriptions. The condo was clean, updated, and had all the amenities we needed for a week in Paradise. The location within walking distance to the beach was ideal, and the resort grounds were meticulously maintained with plumeria and mango trees among orchids and palms. 3yo First Travel

This was our first real travel with our daughter and it was perfect for her. We had an amazing time here. The location was so much better than we anticipated, you're so close you can hear the waves. Just a 4min walk to the actual beach which, at least for the duration of our stay, wasn't crowded at all. Our daughter spread out all the sand castles. The accommodation itself was very clean, nice relaxing decor (even better than the pictures at the moment) and well stocked with kitchen cooking needs so we could prepare a few of our own meals. Our daughter could spread out and be a rambunctious 3yo without disturbing anyone. And the AC! AC is a must for a bunch of northerners who aren't used to humidity! Overall we loved our stay so much we've already made it a goal to visit in two years, this time with both kids.

Great week at Kiahuna Plantation!

Our family has vacationed at Kiahuna Plantation many times since 1991. This time we really enjoyed our stay in Unit 243. It was our first time having the option of air conditioning which was great for a warm week in August! Being closer to the road was NOT a problem since with the air conditioning running and a great sound machine it was very quiet. With small children we were heading to terrific pool every afternoon which was just a quick walk away. This unit had MUCH more on hand than we have found on previous trips: High chair, portacrib, children's books, beach chairs, lots of pool toys and sand toys, boogie boards. The kitchen was very well equipped and we loved the decor. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful beach home with us! Barbara

Wonderful property, super close to beach and restaurants.

This is a great property that is just a short walk from the Poi Pu beach. The property is large, with lots of room the stretch out. Across the street are great restaurants, and the property is a short drive from both Safeway and Costco in Lihue. Laura is a great host, and is very responsive to guest's needs. The property comes stocked with all the things you need for a great day at the beach, including boogie boards and snorkel gear. The property also has all the basics you need (spices, rice, etc.) to cook a wonderful dinner at home after a long day at the beach. I highly recommend Laura and her property!

We rented 3 condos in this resort for a family gathering. This particular condo became the favorite place to hang out because the upstairs living room/dining room area is so comfortable and spacious and it was the only one unit with air conditioning.

Home away from home

What can I say about this amazing place? I’ve stayed in a number of units on this property and this one fit us perfectly. It was our first experience having A/C in the unit - which is a game changer! The upgraded bathrooms, flooring, and furniture really stood out and enhanced our 2 week stay. We adore the property’s plants and large grassy areas, we accessed the club across the street for the gym and pool almost everyday, a short walk to one of the best beaches in the world, easy access to shops and restaurants, it truly was paradise for us. Laura was very communicative, flexible, and helpful. Everything you could want in a host. My other family members didn’t book through VRBO and were jealous of our connection and communication. She was very generous opening up her home and it made us want to return the favor by honoring and taking care of it during our stay. We try to go to Poipu Beach every 3-5 years - I’ve stayed at a different unit each time but I will absolutely try to book this one with Laura again.

We loved staying here. The condo is well stocked (beach chairs, kitchen basics). The lawn and beach area were so nice and great for swimming which is not always the case in Kauai. The grounds are beautiful, quiet and very safe. All in all it is an extremely relaxing location and comfortable stay.

Perfect stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed Laura’s place. We had everything we need and actually more! The kitchen was well stocked with everything including Tupperware which is always hard to come by. Cozy linens and comfy living room couch made sleeping and relaxing easy. Even had a few toys and kids books for my 3 yr old. We forgot a sound machine and thankfully the second bedroom had one. All of the beach gear was so nice to have, made our beach trips great. The only one downfall is the interior doors are slatted and so noise travels very easily. And the air conditioner out back makes a plane take off and landing noise that kept me up. But I’m a light sleeper! Note that the pool is located at the Athletic club across the st, a short drive. That wasn’t clear to me from the description. So long walk but accessible. It was a nice club! We highly recommend this unit to anyone, including small families!

I grew up in California and have fond memories of playing at the beach with my family. While attending the university, I met and married my wonderful husband. We honeymooned in Maui and Oahu where we experienced the incredible Hawaiian islands for the first time. We graduated from college and he whisked me off to his home in Wyoming. We have lived there for 21 years now. It is a great place to raise our 5 children. Now we have 3 grandchildren who live there as well! (My husband and I are pictured with our oldest granddaughter on Poipu Beach.) We have horses and enjoy taking them into the Rocky Mountains for week long "high adventures" in the summer time. In the winter we like to ski/snowboard as a family.
You can guess that raising 5 children comes with great blessings, but also expense. We always wanted to return to the Hawaiian islands, but it wasn't until our 25th anniversary that we returned. We wanted to share this beautiful place with our children so we took them all with us. They too fell in love with the incredible beaches with crystal clear water and the beautiful trees that produce flowers. That trip was over an Easter Sunday so we met as a family on the beach for our own "sunrise service" on the sand and expressed our love for each other. It was a special bonding time and a memory to be treasured.
On our first trip to Kauai, we knew we had found our "place in the world". Kauai was clean with lots of open land which is what we liked about Wyoming. It did not have the high rises and bustle of the other Hawaiian islands. When we visited the sunny south shore and the tropical open spaces of the Kiahuna Resort, we knew we had found our new home. We came for a two week stay and then turned around and went back again the next month! When the opportunity came to purchase a condo at Kiahuna, we took it! We have renovated and redecorating it with all of the things that we love. It is our beach home for half of the year.
