Enjoy Our Fully Updated Ground Floor End Unit, Located on the Great Lawn

Come and experience our beautifully updated unit, Kiahuna 176! We've just completed a full kitchen and bathroom remodel, installed new kitchen appliances, and upgraded all the furniture, so it's fresh and inviting.

You'll love being at Kiahuna, the only beachfront property right on Poipu Beach. Our unit offers a partial ocean view from the lanai, and you're literally less than a 30-second walk to the oceanfront!

Unit 176 is on the ground floor, it's an end unit, and it's wonderfully light, bright, and airy with great cross-breezes. The kitchen is fully stocked for your convenience, and there are outdoor grills available on the great lawn. We have a comfortable king-size bed and a pull-out sofa sleeper. The bathroom features a large step-in shower and a separate vanity area. Laundry is just a short walk away, and there are no stairs to worry about when entering Unit 176. Just a heads up, Kiahuna 176 does not have air conditioning.

Everything you could want is right here! Snorkeling, swimming, and surfing are all right in front of the property. You can easily walk to restaurants, shopping, markets, the pool, tennis, golf, luaus, and more. Relax on the beach or enjoy the grassy areas near the sand. The resort provides free beach chairs, lounge chairs, and towels, plus you can rent all your watersports gear and even take surf lessons right here. Be sure to check out the newly upgraded pool, gym, and sports courts – tennis rackets and balls are even provided! And for golf lovers, Poipu has two fantastic courses.

Update: New on-site management service will be in place starting May 2026. Cleaning fees are paid directly to Outrigger.

Unfortunately this unit had no AC and the add fails to mention that. I honestly can’t believe there’s not more reviews about this. I tried to see if they could refund me so I could stay somewhere else but they said no. Other than that, I enjoyed the location and everything else.. but no AC in a summer vacation rental is unacceptable imo.. I would expect that if I was visiting a 3rd world country maybe but certainly not an expensive place like Kauai. It should be LOUD AND PROUD in the add. Like so; (UNIT HAS NO AC!!)

We'd like to clarify one point for future guests: the listing does disclose that the unit does not have air conditioning in both the property description and the amenities. We understand that air conditioning is an important feature for some travelers, and preferences vary from guest to guest. Many homes and condos on Kauai rely on the island's trade winds rather than air conditioning, and we're pleased that you otherwise enjoyed your stay and the property's location.

I reserved a unit with AC and got switched to this one. Not this owner's fault, but no AC makes for a pretty uncomfortable evening/sleep. Not a single condiment, or spice to be had in the place. Glasses stored where no one can reach them. Finally found the step ladder, but that's a ridiculous place to store them. Appliances from the last century.Well decorated, nice furniture. The setting is fine. No way to lock the screen door, so have to "button up" the sliding door to secure the unit and therefore it just sits there and cooks all day while you are out.

For the benefit of future guests, we'd like to clarify a few items. Our VRBO listing accurately states that this condominium does not have air conditioning. Like many units at Kiahuna Plantation, it relies on Kauai's trade winds and ceiling fans, allowing guests to make an informed booking decision. We intentionally do not provide opened food items, including spices and condiments. In Hawaii's tropical climate, these items can attract insects and pests, so we choose to keep the kitchen free of food products between guest stays. To maximize space, some kitchen items are stored in upper cabinets. Three step stools are provided for easy access and are located in the closets. We'll confirm they are in their designated locations before each stay. Our appliances have been replaced within the past three years as part of our ongoing updates. While they are not luxury models, they are regularly replaced and maintained to ensure they are clean and in excellent working order. Thank you for bringing the screen door latch to our attention. We will have maintenance inspect it promptly. If any maintenance issue arises during a stay, guests are encouraged to contact the Outrigger on-site maintenance team for prompt assistance. We strive to provide an accurate listing and a comfortable, well-maintained vacation experience for every guest.

We knew it doesn’t have an ocean view, but a view of the great lawn and were fine with that.MOst everything inside is same as it was 3 years ago.. minor updates.What it needs is a deep scrubbing! THe ceiling fans are filthy, the floors were dirty. It needs some love

We have stayed at Kiahuna over 20 times, and actually stayed in this unit many years ago, prior to its remodel. We loved how they utilized the kitchen footprint - more counterspace and so much storage. Beautiful all around, and one of the best locations (albeit a little public for those who prefer more privacy). Also, just a note, the bed is quite high so may be harder for those with ambulation concerns. Overall fantastic and would love to stay there again!

The perfect spot for unwinding

There's no way to go wrong with a Kiahuna stay and this unit is no exception. Our plane was late so we arrived after the check in desk closed. The owner responded to my text immediately and we figured out how to get the keys, all stress free and easy. Especially nice after a long day of wonky travel. The unit has been upgraded so there's a fresh vibe and good looking furniture..very welcoming. We loved this unit and Kiahuna and can't wait to be back in this slice of paradise.

Great condo in a beautiful location

This condo is a ways back from the ocean. But we could still hear the sounds of the waves at night which we love. I think a plus for this condo is that the afternoon sun does not directly hit the patio. This was great for the afternoons after spending a full day in the sun. We sat on the patio & didn't bake from afternoon sun. One thing I would like to mention is that the bed is extremely high. If you have any physical issue it can be a bit tough getting up into the bed. Though it was extremely comfy. I would definitely book this condo again.

Another great trip to Kiahuna

My husband and I have stayed on this property more than ten times and always enjoy the location, amenities and price. We have stayed in different units each time and each one has been unique and wonderful. This particular condo was recently remodeled, clean, with an open and airy kitchen. At first, we felt a bit exposed because it sits near a main sidewalk and we are used to second floor units but we quickly started to enjoy watching people walk by and made a few friends along the way- a lot of people were looking at the condo as they walked by because it is so pretty. I will say, there is no water view from the condo itself. It was also a bit noisy

Perfect setting for a family vacation. Recent remodel was a real upgrade and very comfortable. We appreciated having beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards available for our use. The location can't be beat as it's close to the beach and on the lawn so the children had lots of room to play.
