A wonderful chalet with 2 bedrooms on Vogel ski resort. Superb hiking country in Summer and Ski from the front door in Winter. An adventure in both seasons.

Leave your car at the base station down at Lake Bohinj and take the gondola up to the house.

There are two restaurants on Vogel to eat out at.

Two cosy double bedrooms, bathroom with shower, open plan living dining and kitchen. Sweet balcony and garden.

As standard we supply an electric bread maker and bread mixes and cooking essentials such as tea, coffee, pasta, butter, salt, pepper, oil etc.

You need to leave your car at the gondola base station in Bohinj as no cars can reach the Vogel resort, then catch the Gondola up to the resort which takes around 4 minutes. Gondola runs every 30 mins.

The Gondola operations time is changing but a rough guide is:

Summer season: from 8AM - 6.30PM
Winter season: from 8AM - 16PM

The house is approx. 350 metres walking distance from the upper gondola station. You need to walk to the house, but in winter you can order a snow mobile for the luggage (not included in price of house)

Pets - Pets are welcome, but you must complete the booking form stating whether any pets are included in the booking. We only accept a maximum of 2 dogs, it can be 1 large and 1 small, or 2 small. If you are unsure please contact us for clarification. Thank you.

There are 2 restaurants on the mountain. Please note that opening times are not guaranteed because they are flexible depending on demand (if there are not many people around, they close), as well as staff availability, weather conditions, and gondola operations. We recommend contacting them directly if you wish to visit, to ensure that they are open (details are available online):
Viharnik is typically open 10am - 6pm.
Orlove Glave is typically open 9am - 4pm.

The rental price does not include the charge for using the gondola.

Perfect mountain getaway

My wife and I stayed at this lovely chalet back in June. If you’re after peace and quiet up on the mountains of the Julian Alps, with only the sound of nature around you then this is the place for you. The chalet is perfectly equipped, clean, tidy and well located for exploring/hiking the surrounding area. As others have mentioned, you need to factor in the cost of the gondola as there is no other way up to the chalet from the car park at the bottom of the mountain. During our stay there was very little open in the way of shops/restaurants so you do need to plan ahead with regards to food supplies. We absolutely loved our tranquil stay here.

Like a fairytale

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The cabin is located a 10 min walk from the ski lift. It feels really private though you are just a couple of minutes away from several restaurants and bars in case you run out of provisions. We were aware that you can only reach the cabin by cable car but we still missed the last opportunity to get up the mountain due to traffic jam. I recommend that you try to be there at least two hours before the last cable car departs so you have a stress free arrival. If you are too early for check in you can grab a beer in one of the restaurants and don't have to wait outside in the cold. The cabin itself was everything I pictured. It's really rustic with a fire place and and cozy interior. It was very clean and had all amenities of civilization like electricity, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, hot water and a fully equipped kitchen (no oven though, just a stove). The beds are very comfortable and clean. If you bring a dog that sleeps in your room you have to keep in mind that you have to carry it up the very steep stairs. 10/10.

we hebben een relaxte vakantie gehad op Vogel in het huis. Het was een fijne woning met alle voorzieningen en van daaruit hebben we wandelingen gemaakt en Bohinj en het meer verkend. Voor ons was dit super. `Lekker rustig en een prima accommodatie. Goede ontvangst'.

Wunderschöner Urlaub mitten in den Bergen. Viel Ruhe.

Sauberes Haus, sehr ruhige Lage, wir haben unser Urlaub hier sehr genossen. Das Haus steht oben in den Bergen, man kommt nur mit der Gondel hoch, das Auto bleibt unten am Parkplatz. Das wäre vielleicht beim Packen wichtig zu wissen.

Had a fantastic stay at Bohinjsko Jezero over Christmas. Fantastic host, simple check in and amazing property and surroundings. Had a white Christmas and could ski straight from the door. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

On the mountain

It is a very nice house, with very nice beds and very nicely located on the mountain. The house itself is just perfect. Our walk to the summit of Vogel was great, with beautiful visies. We only didn’t realise that everytime you go down to go to the Lake, bled, or somewhere else on a more rainy day, you have to buy a retour ticket for the gondola, which costed €84 for our family each time. Something to keep in mind when your planning to stay at this cottage for a longer period.

Beautiful property like a grown ups Wendy house beds huge and so comfortable chalet warm spotlessly clean lots of hot water luxury in the mountain . Just be warned that you need to be a mountain goat to negotiate the stairs but it’s worth the effort
