THE PENTHOUSE
Located in a fantastic leisure and golf resort close to the Mar Menor beaches. Modern and bright property, well furnished, right on the golf course, with air conditioning, Satellite TV & free wi-fi, a private car parking space, central location in a relaxing environment. The penthouse has a spacious, south facing terrace, fully equipped to enjoy Spanish outdoor living with stunning views over fields and mountains and overlooking the 10th green of the golf course. The swimming pool is by the 11th tee. We have portable sun loungers too. The 40m2 terrace is the perfect place for catching the sun at any time of the day on reclining loungers and in the lounge seats; or for enjoying your meals al fresco. The kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine offers all you need for self-catering, and linen, towels, etc. are included.

MAR MENOR GOLF RESORT
Set within a beautiful position in the Murcian countryside, framed by a stunning mountain backdrop, the resort offers a fantastic Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole golf course, as well as padel tennis facilities and an Intercontinental Hotel, which has a luxurious spa and gym. If you’re looking for a family holiday, Mar Menor is also a great choice, with kids' playgrounds available, 15 communal pools, and the El Boulevard complex, which has a selection of bars and restaurants. The resort is a superb base for exploring the surrounding area, with the popular town of Los Alcázares with its beach and variety of restaurants and bars only 10 minutes away, as well as the bustling city of Murcia, which is only a 35-minute drive away. GOLF
Mar Menor features a Jack Nicklaus 18-hole course as the magnificent centrepiece of the resort. A wide range of golfing facilities are available, including opportunities to practice on the putting green and driving range, as well as a pro shop and equipment hire. The course is one of the six on the Jack Nicklaus “Bear Trail”, the others are all within a 40-minute drive.

SPA
The luxurious spa at Mar Menor is in the Intercontinental hotel on the resort. Previously voted the best in Spain, offering a wide range of relaxing treatments including hot stone signature treatments, massages, facials, pedicure, manicure and more. Facilities include spa, sauna, indoor pool, Jacuzzi, steam room.

TENNIS
There is a tennis court within the Social Club. There are also 8 padel tennis courts on the resort. Here you will find a padel tennis shop, cafe and professional who will be glad to teach you this wonderful Spanish game!

GYM & FITNESS
Guests have use of a gym within the resort hotel, which is an excellent, fully-equipped gymnasium with fitness studio. The gym features state-of-the-art equipment including cardiovascular equipment, free weights and strength machines, with personal trainers and gym instructors also on hand to help. There is also an additional mini-gym, which can be found by the padel tennis courts, on the resort.

KIDS CLUB
There is a kids club at the on-site hotel at Mar Menor Golf Resort where fun is guaranteed thanks to the programme of fun-filled experiences. The monitors will greet children with an arranged agenda of play and sport activities as well as workshops that change depending on the weekday. Every day is an opportunity to learn while playing, from painting and drawing to imaginative plays and puppet theatre.

SHOPPING & AMENITIES
On-site at Mar Menor, you will find a mini-market where you can pick up your grocery essentials for your stay, as well as English newspapers and magazines. There is a larger supermarket and further grocery shops in the nearby town of Los Alcazares, as well as some nice boutique and gift shops. Further afield in Murcia and Cartegena you will also be able to find large department stores and outlet malls. Also in the resort is a bank with 24-hour cash machine, taxi rank, free bus service to beaches and local shopping centre, public bus just outside the resort.

RESTAURANTS & BARS
There is a variety of excellent restaurants and bars offering light snacks, to full meals and A La Carte. There are further options within the resort hotel, as well as at the entrance of the resort in the 'El Boulevard' development. There is also a huge array of places to eat in Los Alcazares, which is only 10-minutes away from the resort. Here you will find everything from Spanish to English cuisine, Italian to Chinese and International.

BEACHES & WATERSPORTS
The Mar Menor is the largest coastal lagoon in Europe, offering a large choice of sandy beaches and calm bathing conditions, with sunbed and parasol hire. The Mar Menor is shallow, with warm water, a non-tidal haven for watersports enthusiasts and those who enjoy the safety of this tranquil “little sea”. It is ideal for swimming in all year round. The urban blue flag sandy beach of Los Alcazares just 10 minutes from the golf resort. In summer, the water in the Mar Menor, can be 5°C (9°F) warmer than the Mediterranean making it very popular with sailors and windsurfers. The Mar Menor Nautical Station is a group of 20 watersports centres in the area offering sailing, windsurfing, canoeing courses and jet skiing. For a relaxing day or half day out, take a boat trip to one of the five small volcanic islands in the middle of the Mar Menor. Diving and snorkelling is also available, 30 minutes drive away from the golf resort at Cabo de Palos, one of the best places in Europe for diving, due to its unusual marine geography. Here the continental shelf is so narrow, that there is an immediate drop and this coupled with the warm water, means it has one of the biggest abundances of marine life in the Western Mediterranean.

BIKE HIRE
You will find bicycle tracks located around the resort perfect to use with a hired bicycle. Many bikes are available to hire from the commercial area. The area around the Mar Menor is made for cyclists, a bicycle being the best way to explore the natural parks, beaches and open areas of the Mar Menor. Wide promenades with cycle lanes run along the sandy fringes of the Mar Menor.

HORSE RIDING
Horse riding along the beach is very popular; the beautiful Andalusian horses carry you through some of the most striking areas through the Calblanque National Park. Once you reach the wide beach areas, galloping along the beach is an experience always remembered. Alternatively, the popular mountain hack is walking and trotting around the mountains. The trained leaders will guide you up and around the stunning Murcian Mountains that will provide you with breathtaking views of the beautiful area. This mountain hack is entirely off road away from traffic to let you enjoy the true beauty of the region. The Rancho de la Fuenta Stables are located 20 minutes from the golf resort at the town of Los Belones. With around 60 horses available for both adults and children, there’s enough to accommodate any size of group you are in.

LOS ALCAZARES
This quaint town is perfect for dining out. The popular golden sandy beach has sun-beds and parasols available to hire. Along the promenade there are snack bars and restaurants to stop for lunch or to venture back to in the evening.

MURCIA
The fabulous city of Murcia is the capital of the Costa Calida. One of the famous visiting points is the Cathedral de Santa Maria, which is located at the plaza del Cardinal Belluga. Finished in the 15th century, the cathedral is the most impressive monument of Murcia and you can spot it from miles away because of its 96-metre tower which houses no less than 25 bells.

CARTAGENA
20 minutes from the golf resort is this charming, compact, coastal city that became great during the Roman times when Hannibal set off from it with his elephants on his journey to Rome. There are many things to see, museums, buildings of interest, churches and archaeological sites. You can take the informative Tourist Bus or perhaps sail out to sea on the Tourist Boat. A cruise ship may even be visiting, as Cartagena’s port is the 3rd deepest in the world.

AIRPORTS
The most best airports to fly to if you are staying at Mar Menor Resort is either Murcia International Airport at approximately 25 minutes away, or the further out Alicante Airport which deals in a higher number of passengers.
