Lovely Fall Getaway

This was the perfect spot for our families fall getaway! Prime location with the short walk to Nissawa and quick drive to so many fall hikes.

Location is a big plus, right of 371 and near Nissawa. Inside unit was clean and had all supplies needed. lake Nissawawas small but quite and enjoyable. Only issue was difficulity opening back patio door. temp in lower level wasmuch cooler than upstairs. Would recommend for lake get away.

Fantastic Girls Weekend!

I love this place, it's perfect! I've taken my family here in the past and this time was a girl's weekend! We had the best time! I love that it's so close to Nisswa shopping, bars, and the Paul Bunyan Trail. We walked everywhere!!! I can't wait to stay here again next year!!

Repeat visit

Back for a second year, we had another great stay! Well appointed cabin, plenty of room for a big group. Love the quick walk into Nisswa - made it to the Turtle Races on Wednesday this time around. Perfect boating on Nisswa Lake and cruising the Gull chain. Kids and adults loved using the paddle boards, swimming off the dock and playing on the beach. We will be back again in the future!

Lake Nisswa vacation

Our family and friends had an amazing week at this cabin on Lake Nisswa! Our three kids brought friends up and they all had a blast! I brought my boat and putting it in and taking it out was easy and the boat access was walking distance from the cabin. We were in Nisswa every day as it’s a short walk and the kids all brought their bikes and biked the Paul Bunyan trail. This was our second time at this cabin and we are planning on making it an annual trip. I highly recommend this place!

Beautiful cabin, wonderful vacation!

We rented this property from Thursday-Sunday and it was wonderful! The house was beautiful, the lake was super nice (and clean) and we loved how close it was to Nisswa. The owners of this property really spent the time getting things ready for renters and are super accommodating. We loved getting on our bikes and biking the Paul Bunyan Trail every morning and stopping for coffee and a smoothie with our girls. Thursday nights is "happy hour" at The Chocolate Mose and they have 2-4-1 ice cream!! What a treat!! Friday and Saturday nights in Leader, MN (about 20 minute drive) there are pig races at a bar The Bear's Den. Oh my, they were so much fun! If you are coming up with kids - this is a must do!! (just google "pig races in leader"). Definitely will be looking to rent this property again next summer!

Great four family of all ages

Booked a 4 night stay for us, our 4 kids (ages 11, 10, 8 and 2), plus my MIL and her sister (79 and 83). House was a great size for all of us. So clean and well stocked with everything you could need. Followed the recommendations for keeping the house cool during the afternoon and had no problems with the temperature. Beach, dock and lake were great. Enjoyed cruising through the chain of lakes all the way to Gull Lake and back again. Walked into town several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Already looking to book again next summer! Side note - highly recommend Dave's Sportland Rental if you need a boat or water toys. We rented a boat for 3 days plus a chair style tube and water ski trainer, a Lilly pad, and a jet-ski for one day.

Another great week at Nisswa Lake cabin!

Had an amazing week at this beautiful Nisswa Lake cabin with my son and four of his buddies. Brought my boat up and put it in at a newly built public access walking distance from the cabin. I am a big sunset guy and I don't think there is a better sunset in the Brainerd Lakes area than from this cabin - just beautiful. Walked into NIsswa every day for a run on the Paul Bunyan trail each morning and for a couple beers at Big Ax each evening. Looking forward to next summer and many more after that!

My parents 50th Anniversary

This is our old family cabin which we sold 20 years ago. It was great to be back and see all the updates. The place looks great and worked so well for our family celebration for my parents 50th. We had a blast and Tatum was excellent to work with and made it very easy. I would highly recommend the place, location is great to Nisswa and if you have a boat you have plenty of lakes to explore on the Gull lake chain.

This was a great place to spend MEA weekend with our family. Very cozy place right on the lake and we could walk into town. Owners were very easy to contact and very attentive to any of our needs. We had a great time and would certainly stay here again in the future.

Our family loves staying here. The property is a short walk to Nisswa and right on the water with restaurants close by via boat. The cabin is supplied with everything we need and the property owners are great to work with. The only downside is the air conditioning. We followed the recommendations and it was still hot when we returned from a day on the water, disappointing since we were ready for a break from the heat. Overall, highly recommend!

Nice property. Good location for both lake and town access. Lots of room. Needs some repair work on sliding door to access patio on lake. Could not open “or close “ door due to ? Broken track and door handle. That was the only Downside. Should be repaired before renting again because it is a safety issue.

Beautiful and Convenient!

The house was clean and well supplied. We like to cook and we never were short of the necessities needed to make a meal. There was plenty of beds to accommodate the guests we had in the house. All the beds were clean and well made. We were able to tune in to the Twins game and the first preseason game for the Vikings. We rented a pontoon and took advantage of the lake. Swimming and fishing too! The sunsets were truly amazing and did not disappoint. Truly a great experience and felt like we were home.

Everyone on our girls weekend enjoyed ourselves! Accommodation were quite nice and very clean. Beautiful view of the lake and just a short walk to town. Would have liked more bath towels and some type of kitchen towels/dishcloths. Also wood for the fire pit would be nice. We were able to find enough wood in the neighborhood to enjoy a nice fire. We were able to see eagles flying right above the deck numerous times... nice touch!!

This place is great. Plenty of room inside, interior is updated. The view is incredible. We had a fabulous time just laying on our floatie and shopping in Nisswa. We already rebooked for next year. The owner was great to work with.

The house and property were beautiful and very well maintained. We went up for a girl's weekend and didn't want to leave! We enjoyed a lot of time on the deck and patios enjoying the great view of the lake. Took a walk into downtown Nisswa for a little shopping....so much fun and only a 5 minute walk! We had so much fun enjoying the lake and the property provided a great space for our family of eight to have an amazing time. Everything was ready for us when we arrived and the place was clean and well equipped for all our needs. We appreciated the short distance to Nisswa, and we walked there several times. We liked having the dock for the two boats we brought, we fished from one and we explored the Gull Lake chain with the other. We caught a lot of fish and enjoyed the deck and patio for games and eating. We liked the property so much that we are returning next year! Highly recommend the property!

Gal's 23rd Weekend Up North!

This place is LOVELY. Lovely place, perfect location, spectacular weather! We will be back! Just a couple of suggestions: Make it a rule that guests cannot throw dead fish/guts in any garbage can. They either bury it or bring it to town to the place you told us about. Pots and pans could use a few non stick replacements. We love making a huge breakfast each morning and the pans just didn't cut it. It was a lot of work to clean them. Not enough silverware. There wasn't any dish soap. Other than that, we enjoyed our weekend VERY much! It was fun meeting the woodchuck. Initially we were afraid for the neighbor's dog, but it didn't take long to realize he is the resident woodchuck who we named Woody. Original huh? Ha! Ha! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Loved every moment! Highly recommend this place! Thank you!
