About this property
19th Century Maison du Maître, ideal place to enjoy with family and friends
Our spacious and charming 'Maison du Maître' is set in the picture-perfect heritage village of Beauval en Caux and is the ideal place to enjoy family holidays or get-togethers with your friends and is perfect for a Summer and Winter getaways.
We have an outdoor heated swimming pool making the perfect escape even more perfect! Our pool is open for use from April to September, subject to local climate.
This beautiful 19th Century period French maison du maître has been lovingly refurbished with sensitivity to its heritage, whilst also offering you modern comforts and tasteful design. Nestled amongst beautiful French countryside, each window floods the house with light and offers delightful views of pristine rolling meadows, picturesque medieval cottages and the stunning 12th century church and village well.
The setting offers peace and tranquillity and the house has an abundance of versatile spaces so that everyone can find the perfect place to relax and enjoy. As well as the spacious lounge, the ground floor reception offers a light and airy space to relax with it's two velvet armchairs, coffee table and wood burning stove. The first floor reception space with comfy sofa and library of books is a cozy place to gather for drinks, or to rest and snuggle up with a book and the second floor loft conversion houses a pyjama lounge with a comfy L shaped sofa and foot stool, allowing you to get away from the hubbub of the house. This is also a great space for teenagers.
The children and young adults have their own games room with pool table, table tennis, dartboard, Xbox (please bring your own games), 40'' wall mounted TV and numerous board games. Several bean bags make this space a comfortable, informal and fun space to hang out. There is also a double sofa bed here and with an adjacent disabled accessible bathroom, any guests with mobility issues are catered for. Please advise when booking.
The large, bright lounge-diner offers comfortable dining for 12 and can be extended to accommodate more. There are comfortable sofas for lounging and relaxing and a media centre including a 39'' TV, Apple TV and DVD player. For the tech connoisseur there is a Q Acoustics Media 4 award winning sound bar!
The focal point of the lounge is the wood burning stove and logs are provided from October to March. If we have a cold spell outside this period please do let us know and we'll be happy to provide logs if they are available. Fuel for the central heating is also provided.
The kitchen blends traditional design and modern living to include all new appliances and all the cookware you'll need to prepare beautiful culinary creations. The light pours into this room in the afternoon and evening making it a delightful place to bake and create. There is a large American fridge freezer, with dispensing of cold filtered water, crushed and cubed ice and barista style coffee machine dispensing high-quality coffee at the touch of a button. A breakfast bar and stools make this a great space to both cook and socialise with your friends and family.
The bedrooms have been designed to offer the best of the old with the best of the new. Traditional French period cottage furniture blended with luxury and comfort, combining elegant fabrics and classic furnishings. Quality 300 thread count bed linen and towels are provided as standard.
Relax and pamper yourself in one of the three bathrooms, one of which boasts a beautiful free-standing bath where you can relax and sip your chilled French wine. Why not throw the window open, gaze up at the sky and take in the fragrant smells of the countryside and the lazy sounds of droning insects, birdsong and chime of church bells.
The new heated swimming pool, securely fenced and gated, is a family-friendly 7.3m by 3.66m (24ft by 12ft) and a trampoline, swing ball and indoor/outdoor table tennis table make the large enclosed and safe garden a great place for everyone to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air.
Enjoy dining together alfresco in the garden at the large picnic-style bench and make use of the BBQ or swing peacefully in a hammock under the majestic mature trees. We are dog friendly and the garden has been made 'dog proof' and we have a lockable gate.
We have a fire pit and rustic seating to enjoy the night under the stars.
There is also an outside charger for caravan hook up or electric car charging.
There are sofa beds throughout meaning that the property can sleep up to 18 by arrangement.
Nothing else to pay, all-inclusive price includes, swimming pool heating in the Summer months, oil central heating and wood logs in the Winter months, all bedding, towels, toilet rolls and kitchen rolls, dishwasher tablets, cleaning supplies, shampoos and soaps provided.
For your safety the property is fitted with carbon monoxide alarms.
When returning to the property when it's dark, we have convenient PIR exterior lighting.
We pride ourselves on our service so please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be more than happy to assist you with your enquiry. We understand that everyone has different requirements and we are happy to tailor your holiday to suit you.
We look forward to welcoming you to our French haven.

I live in Brighton in the UK and love to travel, meet new people and have new experiences.
My partner and I purchased this property as our 'French Haven' and we absolutely love to share the wonders of the beautiful property and its location with others.
My partner and I purchased this property as our 'French Haven' and we absolutely love to share the wonders of the beautiful property and its location with others.
Why they chose this property
As soon as I first visited this property I fell in love with it. I felt its peace and I felt peaceful. It is set in such a beautiful hamlet, overlooking a stunning 13th century church. The stars at night are incredible. It has such a wonderful, cosy and inviting atmosphere whether it's just myself and my partner staying or if we're with our extended family or friends, it always works perfectly.
There are so many things to enjoy in the surrounding area but its also so fantastic to hang out in the house and garden. I love in the Summer having the windows flung open, relaxing in the garden and spending time in the pool. I love it in the Winter months too, cooking in the kitchen with a glass of wine, the music playing and snuggling up by the fire.

What makes this property unique
The aspect of the house is delightful. Sipping coffee in the morning sun in the garden or in the lounge overlooking a 13th century church and village well is such a joy.
There are so many great places to hang out in the property that even if you are part of a large group, there are cosy areas to spend time, whether it's on the top floor in the pyjama lounge, the first floor landing with its comfy sofa and with a book from the book case or by the wood burning stove on the velvet armchairs in the ground floor reception room.
The games room is great for the children and for us adults alike for a game of pool, darts or trying your hand at table tennis.
Bathing in the free standing bath tub is such a joy, especially as the sun sets into the bathroom.
I love cooking and spending time in the kitchen at the property is a real pleasure. The sun sets into this room and is filled with golden sun at sunset. I love the stalls and breakfast bar so my friends can join me with a glass of wine while I'm cooking. There's a great flow from the kitchen to the lounge/diner and reception room so you can still be part of the hubbub of the house when cooking.
The swimming pool, games room, trampoline, badminton and swing ball offer endless fun for the kids giving Mums and Dads time to relax.
