Compact basic rental, conveniently by the Thames. Close to buses, trains and The Tube. Great to use as a base when out and about exploring all that London has to offer. Would happily rent it again.

* can’t beat the location
* Mark was very easy to communicate with, and he even gave helpful directions tailored to our mode of transport
* the kitchen was well equipped
* a washing machine and drying racks were nice
* the price was reasonable
This apartment is located in Bankside, right next to the Tate Modern museum. The living room and bedroom have beautiful views of the Thames and St. Paul's Cathedral, easily reached by walking across the nearby Millenium Bridge. Though simply furnished, the flat was scrupulously clean and has everything that you need for a wonderful stay in London. Very close to the Blackfriars train station, the Old Globe, National Theatre...The double windows made the apartment very quiet during my December stay.
The property has an incredible view across the Thames from the south bank. It is within 5 minutes of several restaurants and pubs, grocery, the Tate Modern, and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. Plus, the Blackfriars train and tube is conveniently located right next door. It was extremely easy to get around by walking, tube, train, or boat. Mark, the owner, met us personally and gave us an overview of the apartment and a quick London primer, too. Highly recommend!!!
We enjoyed five days in London based out of this rental and it could not have been better located. You’re right on a tube/train station and directly on the south bank of the Thames. The area around the building is lively and bustling with pedestrian traffic and you are within a manageable walk or short tube ride away from all major tourist and other attractions in the London city centre. Communication with Mark, our host, was excellent and he provided very detailed information on how to get to our rental and how to get around. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, the apartment was well set up and had everything we needed. Would not hesitate to go back.
We were tired of the hotel experience and this little flat was just the thing—breakfast from our own kitchen looking out over the Thames and beyond to St Paul’s. One day there was a rainbow! Perfect location for getting anywhere. Mark was helpful and very nice indeed.
I’d recommend 2 sets of keys for couples and families not joined at the hip. Otherwise excellent. Thank you!

My family of 4 had a great stay in Mark's flat! First, Mark was a fantastic host. He provided very helpful information prior to our trip, including transportation tips, nearby food options, and things to do in the area. He met us at the flat and gave us the tour along with some add'l info of the area.
We LOVED the location. The view from the front of the flat was so nice. We were able to walk to several places: thru South bank to the Eye, the Millennium Bridge, Burough Market, just to name a few. There is a coffee shop right next door. There are also several other coffee, breakfast, and convenience stores nearby.
The flat itself was small, but comfortable. It was great having the two fold-out beds. We put the double in the main area and the single in the kitchen for the kids. For any summer travelers, although no a/c, having the windows open was refreshing. There is also a portable fan in the unit which we used. Note that there is noise from the front of the flat, since you are right on a busy walking path and there is a restaurant right there on the waterfront. White noise and/or ear plugs came in handy. But if closed, the windows blocked out the sounds really well. As for the bathroom, I liked that it had its own entrance (not directly connected to the bedroom). Great water pressure and plenty of hot water.
Would 100% stay here again!
This flat was awesome. Great view of the river and quick access to the river walk. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to most of London's attractions, but the train/tube station are right next to the flat for longer ventures. The flat itself was clean and modern with every need covered.
This flat is extraordinary. There is a stunning view of St. Paul's and the Thames, which is beautiful in the day and simply enchanting at night. On the other side is a lovely patio, so the flat teems with light. It's well kept up, with everyone one needs but not cluttered. Mark is a perfect host: he is on top of every detail from beginning to end. He is friendly, helpful, and responsive. The location is ideal; the street noise from the Bankside walkway is pleasant and festive. Stunning flat.
