Why they chose this property
Chiquila is undoubtedly one of the best hidden gems of Mexico. It is a small fisherman village and is the closest town to Holbox. It is the perfect, peaceful place to stay and have easy access to Holbox Island. Chiquila’s main industry is fishing although many people visit to see the wale sharks from mid July to September. The ferry to Holbox Island is easy to get to when you stay in the Mayan or Bamboo suite’s as well as Bird Island, Passion Island and Yalahau Spring Water Cenote.
