About this property

3 acre waterfront estate - heated pool, hot tub, yard, pier, game and pub room!

This home has everything for enjoying waterfront and poolside living, while also being very convenient to major tourist attractions. The house is set in a park-like setting on almost 3 acres and has something for everyone.

The large, heated swimming pool with waterfalls and awesome waterslide, plus the huge yard will keep the kids entertained, while the adults can relax on the large tanning ledge and in the 8-person hot tub while enjoying an evening fire. Nature lovers will enjoy peaceful walks through the woods to the water’s edge, where there is another lawn and picnic area and access to the water toys. There is abundant wildlife, including a resident pair of blue herons, osprey, deer, and fox, plus the occasional bald eagle sighting. Enjoy the large, deep-water creek with direct access to the Severn River. Swim, kayak, canoe, and SUP without having to worry about boat traffic and waves. Fish and crab right off the pier. For the fitness enthusiast, there are bikes in a variety of sizes, and over 100 acres of bike trails just a 5 minute bike ride away. Quiet residential roads with beautiful views for the running enthusiast. For rainy days there is a tread mill and stairmaster in the house. And after your workout, enjoy both an infrared/dry sauna, or a wet sauna/steam room! For the sport enthusiast, there is a huge yard with all the yard games you can imagine: volleyball, tetherball, basketball, horseshoes, ping pong, bocce ball, croquet, ladderball, cornhole and more. There is even a pickleball net to set up on the driveway for casual play, or community tennis and pickleball courts are just a short walk away (rackets and balls are provided). Plus, there is a game room in the basement with pool table, shuffleboard table and video games. A big variety of both adult and kid board and card games are also available.

The large patio is perfect for family gatherings with gas and wood burning fire pits and plenty of seating. Beautiful community on point of land surrounded by water. Plenty of parking. Community tennis courts and playground are less than a 5 minute walk away. Extensive network of hiking/biking trails covering over 100 acres are a 10 minute walk away. The deep water pier has a vacant boat slip - bring your own boat or rent one from a local marina. Access to the Severn River and 6 miles by water to the US Naval Academy, historic Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay. Enjoy exploring the water with 2 kayaks, a 3 person canoe, 2 SUP boards, and a 4 person paddle boat. Great fishing off of the pier. Life jackets, fishing and crabbing equipment are also provided.

Historic Annapolis is just 7 miles away, Washington D.C. and Baltimore are easy day trips - less than 30 miles away. For amusement park, Six Flags is 30 minutes away, and there is another large water park and beaches on the Chesapeake Bay just 45 minutes away.
For rainy days and nighttime, the lower level of the house is an inside party dream, with a home theater area with a 75 inch TV and theater seating, a bar/pub area with large bar and seating for 7, and a rec room with fireplace, pool table, shuffleboard table and video games.

The main level of the house has a formal dining room with table that can accommodate 12, a formal living room with baby grand piano, and a kitchen with stainless appliances, granite counters, seating for 10 and all the cooking appliances you could need. The large two-story family room attached to the kitchen has peaceful wood and water views and plenty of seating, with a fireplace and a 65 inch TV. Powder room and laundry are also on the main level. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms, each with an attached bath (bedrooms 2 and 3 share a bathroom). Master bedroom has a king bed, and a luxury bath with a jetted air tub plus large shower, dual sinks, heated floors and a heated towel rack. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed. Bedroom 3 has 2 full/double beds. Bedroom 4 has a queen bed. Two queen-sized air mattresses and comfortable couches can accommodate extra people. The lower level has a bedroom with a flexible layout - 4 twin beds can be used separately or 2 of the beds can be joined together to make a king bed. A large full bathroom with steam sauna is also on this level.

Note: The pool is open and heated from May 15 through Labor day. The pool is heated up to 85 degrees during daylight hours only. During especially cool days it might not be possible to maintain 85 degrees at all times. Upon request, pool may be open/heated during other times (April to November, depending on weather) or heated to a higher temperature for an additional propane charge per day.

About the host

Hosted by Cindy Shay

Host profile image
We (Cindy and Dave) have lived at the property for 17 years. Cindy grew up in the area and still has a lot of family here. Dave is a native of West Virginia and is a retired Naval officer. Being a native of the area, Cindy knows many of the best kept secrets for touring, etc. - and loves to share them with guests!

Why they chose this property

Cindy grew up waterskiing and crabbing on the rivers of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Her goal was always to own waterfront, but also wanted a large yard. After looking extensively, they found this property, which used to be part of a large farm that encompassed all of Kyle Point. We fell in love with the peace and quiet of Fox Creek. With almost 3 acres of land, we also had plenty of room for a pool and big yard for the kids (and adults) to play. We designed and built the house in 2000 and have loved living here. We love to share our home with others and watch them enjoying themselves in our home as much as we do!

What makes this property unique

The best of both worlds - waterfront to enjoy all the water activities PLUS a large pool and hot tub for those that prefer the pool life!! Plenty of room to spread out, and all the parking you need.
