The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with two fridge freezers. It has everything you need for a self-catering holiday and there are plenty of options to dine either inside or outside by the pool.

The top floor has a further 3 very large en-suite double bedrooms, all furnished to a high standard, with balconies that have views to Monte Gordo and over the fields, where you regularly see a herd of goats pass by. The bedrooms all have plenty of storage space with large built in wardrobes.

On the lower level there is a spacious bedroom with 4 single beds, and an en-suite with large walk in shower. The games room is also on the lower level and features a bar, a dart board and full size pool table. Additionally, there is a drinks fridge with freezer compartment, which is essential for chilling the excellent Portuguese beer or wine, and keeping the tonic cold, during the obligatory games.

The villa is fully air-conditioned, has fast fibre internet for those who need to work, or just for entertaining the family, as well as cable TV.

The back of the villa has an exceptionally large private swimming pool which makes it ideal for those hot Algarve summer days, and warm summer nights. Sun loungers are provided, and there is ample space to sunbathe or just read a book in the shade.

At the front of the villa there is an electric gate and driveway parking for 4 cars. There are also wonderful views from the villa over the hills, and from the upper terraces, across the river to Spain.

This villa is highly recommended, fully equipped, superbly furnished and offers its visitors a very comfortable and peaceful stay. If you want sand rather than soil, the beach is only five minutes drive away.

Athletics and Sport: Close to the villa is the I.A.A.F. accredited sports complex of Vila Real de S. António. The complex is equipped with modern facilities that attract top athletes to this region. There is an 8 lane 'polytan' track together with indoor training facilities and a gym with Olympic free weights. Jumping facilities and dedicated throwing facilities are also available, where many other sports are catered for. The Complex is one of the most highly regarded centres in Europe. It is a high performance training centre recognized by the Portuguese Olympic Committee as an Official Training Centre, that attracts a number of professional teams and national squads to the region for warm weather training.
Monte Gordo is an established holiday resort with a flat blue flag beach, stretching over 20km. This is ideal for warm weather training sessions. There are over 12km of off road tracks that can be found in the pine forests that lie between Monto Gordo and Vila Real de Santo António.

Ria Formosa Natural Reserve: The vast beaches and isles from Faro to Tavira form a natural barrier to the Ocean. Behind are the vast expanses of dunes and after those a labyrinth of lagoons and small sand isles, mud flats and canals. At low tide other salty habitats are uncovered, because the sea penetrates right up to land, forming marches and salt marshes.

With such physical diversity, it is not surprising that the Ria Formosa Estuary attracts such a variety of life forms and provides a wintering ground for many migratory birds. It is one of the most important nature reserves in the network of wetlands that links Europe and sub-Saharan Africa and is very popular with wildlife watchers from all over the world.
