Luxury 3 bedroom golf villa with south facing terrace, private pool and stunning uninterrupted views over the fairways of Castro Marim golf course and the Guadiana river, the natural border between Portugal and Spain. The villa offers a superb standard of self-catering accommodation in a peaceful, picturesque setting, with the clubhouse and restaurant only 3 minutes walk away. The villa has 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms in each; 2 on the ground floor and a large master suite with private balcony on the first floor. There is WiFi access throughout the villa. The main living area is spacious and airy and has a fully equipped modern kitchen leading to an open plan dining and lounge area. The lounge area opens to a shaded patio overlooking the pool, with dining table, chairs and a BBQ, perfect for al-fresco dining. The pool terrace has sunbeds and a shower. It also has a lockable gate to ensure that young children cannot gain unsupervised access to the pool. The Villa is the perfect location for a golf or family holiday. The golfers can enjoy the three 9 hole courses that can be played in combination while those looking for a more relaxed holiday can lounge by the private pool. The communal pool and childrens play area is perfect for families, allowing children to make friends and take part in kiddie club activities. A bus is provided to the beach where one can relax and enjoy miles of sandy beach and unspoilt views. The resort's own beach restaurant, O Pescador - which means The Fisherman - is a great place to enjoy some freshly caught fish, for which Portugal is famous. The bus also stops in Vila Real de San Antonio useful if you fancy a drink with lunch or just want to pop to the shops.

Perfect base for six aging golfers

A great sized villa for 6 people. Lovely having an en-suite for each couple. Clean and tidy with a good range of kitchen equipment. We also made full use of the pool.

The house is perfect for a family. We were 5 people, so 3 bedrooms wirh attached bathroom which is great. Kitchen is well equipped, pool is perfect, views are great. And the location is very good. Within 10 minutes to beach and some nice little villages and Spain around the corner.

We had a wonderful stay at this villa! All the bedrooms are spacious with ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning – a must in the Portuguese summer heat. The kitchen is really well equipped, which was perfect for us as we ate in most evenings, and having a washing machine was such a bonus. The dining area and outdoor seating area worked brilliantly for family meals.The pool and sunbed area are gorgeous, and we spent lots of time relaxing there. The host also left beach towels and even golf clubs, which was a fantastic touch – my husband and kids loved going to the driving range.The location is a little remote, so a car is essential, and just a heads-up that the clubhouse closes at 8pm, so it’s best to eat earlier if you’re planning to dine there.Overall, a really lovely stay in a beautiful villa – we’d definitely recommend!

Have stayed here previously and we love it for its tranquility. Visits to Faro, Tavira, Vila Real de Sant Antonio, Alcoutim are all within easy reach. Sant Antonio has all the shops you will need and the staff in the clubhouse are wonderful

Quiet place, well equipped villa, very well maintained place, pool area top, we really liked it. We only have two notes (apart from the grills being a little dirty but the owner warned us): the windows let in a lot of light in the morning and we couldn't find the 5th bathroom.

Wonderful Villa near to the beach

We hace spent three days in this villa, 2 adults and a little dog. We really enjoyed the patio and the swimming pool. The villa is fully equiped and is located in a very quiet area. This is our third visit to Tom’s villa and still a pleasure to go there. The kitchen is fully equipped, only downside was the size of the kettle! Made full use of the patio and the swimming pool. Amazing place

What a property! Loved our stay and it had (almost) everything that was needed. Friendly staff at clubhouse and check in was a very easy experience. We were very lucky to be able to check in early. BBQ was there, kitchen was awesome. Bedrooms were great. Pool was sublime. Everything was great, seriously great. My golf game was not brilliant but not a problem of the course. Only thing missing (may have been there but couldn’t find) was the tools for the BBQ. Difficult to flip a burger with no flipper. Anyone looking for a relaxing golf break should look here. Quinto Da Vale course is just six minutes away and Monte Rai is just fifteen minutes away. Perfect base.

My family and I have travelled to Castro Marim Golf and Country Club annually for 18 years. We have rented many villas on the complex. We encountered one or two minor issues on arrival, which we reported to the villa owner Tom. They were treated like major issues. Tom’s response was immediate and effective. The same can’t be said for all landlords at CMG. We had a superb trip. The villa is spacious, clean and well equipped. Everything we expected. Very happy indeed. The pool is great, as is the golf. Spain and the beaches at Monte Gordo and Praia Verde are a short drive away. Thanks Tom.
