About this property

Algarve - Altura Magnificent semi-detached villa with private enclosed garden

Located in the village of Altura, 12 km from Tavira, 10 km from Vila Real de Santo Antonio and only 700m from the superb sandy beach.

The interior of the villa is comfortable, relaxing, bright and tastefully decorated.
The kitchen has all the necessary appliances, induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, sandwich toaster.

The living / dining room is open, with access to a beautiful south-facing terrace with a covered dining area.


3 bedrooms, located upstairs with balcony, Accompanied by a large bathroom. The property is fully equipped with towels and bed linen at your disposal

There are air conditioning units in all bedrooms as well as in the living room. (which can also be used for heating in winter), if necessary.
WiFi is available for free throughout the house.

The house does not have a swimming pool, but you will find one in praia verde (5 min by car) and one by the sea in manta rota, also 5 min by car. (see the pictures)

The village leads to the long sandy beach with a pedestrian promenade. It has a relaxed holiday atmosphere and offers basic shops, cafes, bars and a wide variety of restaurants and a wide range of water sports, swimming pools and children's attractions.

Bike rental right next to the house.

The Villa is located just 15 minutes from the Spanish border and opens up a new experience with Seville which is around 1 hour by car.

For golfers: The villa is a short drive from five superb golf courses, including the new Jack Nicklaus and of course Monte Rei.

What a gem!

This was an amazing property to stay at. The communication with the host was immediate and they were able to help with all of our needs. The beds were comfortable, rooms were a great size, and the location of the property is a short 15 minute walk to the beach and a small shopping Center. Loved staying here!

Lovely house. Nice facilities.Part of the kitchen was awkward to use due to the wall cabinets being too low.Residential neighbourhood but several constantly barking dogs.Local restaurants closed at 15.00 and didn’t re-open until 19.00.

Altura stay

Miriam assisted immediately via email any of our concerns! Ana, who managed the property was wonderful and accommodating! Kitchen was fully stocked with plates, bowls, silverware, and request for a drip coffee maker was fulfilled. We enjoyed the beaches immensely, a 15 minute walk from the house! This is a small village with very little open in February but we found two other villages close by for restaurants.

Stunning Home - Very Clean, Very Beautiful

Miriam’s home couldn’t be more beautiful. Had everything you could want and more. Only drawback is that it is a bit of a drive to many of the Algarve towns and Altura, while charming and cute, did not offer much to do. This is not a complaint, just something to consider if you are looking for more liveliness. Mirian was wonderful and very accommodating. Truly loved this property and would gladly go back if the opportunity presented itself. Highly recommended!

Pretty good overall

Property excellent, well equipped and clean. Neighbourhood very noisy, close to fast moving traffic and various dogs barking / whining from 0600 and again late at night at 0100. Directions to property very poor, we spent 40 minutes trying to find it on arrival.

Dear Richard, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your stay. You were disturbed by the noise at night (dogs) and I can understand that. However, this seaside area remains one of the quietest on the Algarve coast. Despite this, I accept that August is always much busier than the rest of the year. However, if you are looking for peace and quiet during August, I can offer you a house that is inland, 20 minutes drive from the sea, with the same amenities. Trés bonne communication avec la propriétaire qui était à l'écoute et a réussi à résoudre un problème de porte qui ne fermait plus. Maison très bien équipée et décorée, spacieuse. Dommage que la météo n'était pas terrible pour profiter des extérieurs mais en décembre c'est un peu normal.

Erholung mit Wohlfühlfaktor

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung hat uns sehr gefallen. Moderner Landhausstil mit schönen Dekoelementen. Die Küche war perfekt eingerichtet und bestückt. Der kleine Garten wunderschön zum Frühstücken oder am Abend mit einem Glas Wein…Wir können die Unterkunft mit bestem Gefühl weiter empfehlen. Im Ort gibt es mehrere Supermärkte und Gaststätten. Zum Strand sind wir ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß gegangen.

Altura im Januar

Wir waren im Januar 2024 2 Wochen in dem Ferienhaus in Altura und haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr hübsch, nett und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit einem Garten und einer Veranda, 3 Zimmern und 2 Bädern. Es war mit drei Radiatoren zu beheizen und nicht nur mit den Klimaanlagen. Das war großzügig und im Januar auch bitter nötig Kompliziert fanden wir die Bedienung des Backofens und des Fernsehers. Im oberen Bad müsste die Technik mal wieder erneuert werden. Die Handbrause funktionierte nicht u.a. wegen Löchern im Schlauch und einer abgebrochenen Halterung . Das Instrumentarium in der Küche müsste ergänzt werden. Die Messer waren stumpf und es gab abgesehen von einer Nespressomaschine keine vernünftige Möglichkeit, Kaffee in nennenswerten Mengen zuzubereiten. Der Ort Altura ist sehr schön. Es gibt Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe und der Strand ist mit dem Rad in 5 Minuten erreichbar. Insgesamt hat das Haus eine positive Bewertung verdient. AS

Liebe Elisabeth, Ich möchte mich herzlich für Ihren konstruktiven Kommentar zu unserem Haus in Altura bedanken. Ihr Feedback ist für uns sehr wertvoll und hilft uns, die Qualität unserer Unterkunft kontinuierlich zu verbessern. Ich kann Ihnen bereits mitteilen, dass nach Ihrem Aufenthalt der Duschkopf sowie die gesamte Halterung durch neues Material ersetzt wurden. Auch die defekte Steckdose wurde ausgetauscht. Bezüglich des Ofens bin ich mir bewusst, dass die Bedienung einiger Geräte mit neuer digitaler Technologie manchmal komplex sein kann. Sobald man jedoch die Zündung des Ofens beherrscht, wird seine Bedienung einfach. Ihre Anmerkung zu den Messern haben wir sehr ernst genommen und diese wurden ebenfalls ersetzt. In Bezug auf die Kaffeezubereitung steht eine Nespresso-Maschine mit einigen Startkapseln zur Verfügung, aber ich könnte auch eine größere Kaffeemaschine bereitstellen. Ich danke Ihnen nochmals für Ihre relevanten Beobachtungen und wünsche Ihnen alles Gute für die Zukunft. :)

Perfect Stay

Es war eine wunderbare Unterkunft für uns. Alles ist so liebevoll und wunderschön eingerichtet. Ich habe mich wie in einem Boho Traum gefühlt. Es ist mir immer sehr wichtig, dass die Unterkünfte sauber sind. Oftmals findet man Dreck oder Staub in Ecken. Aber nicht in dieser Unterkunft. Hier war alles absolut sauber, sodass wir uns alle sehr wohlgefühlt habe. Die Kommunikation mit der Besitzerin war einwandfrei. Sie antwortete immer sehr zeitnah und hat uns bei sämtlichen Anliegen geholfen. Vielen Dank für alles. Wir werden dieses Haus in wundervoller Erinnerung behalten :)

Prachtige vakantiewoning

Ruime en zeer volledig uitgeruste vakantiewoning, zeer smaakvol ingericht. De foto's op de site zijn een correcte weergave van de woning. We verbleven in oktober, en relatief weinig bewoners in de buurt. Mooi weer en leuke tuin zorgden voor een rustig verblijf. Toch wel een aanrader.
