Villa Leana - 4 Bedroom, family friendly inc. pool fence, cook and epic sunsets

Villa Leana is a great villa whether you are a family, a group of friends or a couple looking for a fantastic getaway escape. The villa is located on top of a hill, with uninterrupted views over the cliffs through to the sea and colourful sunsets beyond.

LOCATION
Villa Leana is just 20 minutes’ drive from the airport and only 10 minutes from Jimbaran's restaurants and shops. The local beach is Balangan - just over 8 minutes’ drive away - one of Bali’s great laid back beaches. There are golf courses nearby, super surfing breaks, and cool white sand beaches; making Villa Leana ideal for a visit to Bali.

BEDROOMS
Villa Leana has 4 dedicated bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. There is a beautiful king-size double bedroom and a large twin bedroom room on the ground floor (that can easily take a couple more beds) and a super king-size double and a cosy twin bedroom on the first floor; both twins can be made into doubles. We can also add extra bed to any room except the upstairs twin (although the downstairs twin can take 2 extra beds) - or the room located on the lower ground floor, that is set up as a 5th bedroom. It has a communal guest standard bathroom adjacent to the bedroom.

Villa Leana's master bedroom has a jacuzzi bath and views in three directions across the Bukit area and out to sea. The villa is fully equipped with satellite TV, music players, strong wifi, etc. Villa Leana downstairs bedroom has childrens books, and its own TV and DVD player.

SERVICES
At Villa Leana, water, tea, coffee are provided for free, and other drinks and meals upon request.

Whilst meals and drinks other than tea, coffee and water are not included in the rental price, our in-villa chef can provide any meals you would like during your stay. There is a full menu, with a variety of mostly Indonesian and Balinese meals and drinks available upon request at just the cost of actual groceries plus a villa charge of 20% that goes to cover costs without receipt like transport fuel and maintaining a stock of basic ingredients, with anything left over going to the staff for the extra work.

In addition to the standard menu, special meals such as fresh seafood BBQ; Babi Guling (Balinese Suckling Pig), and Bebek Betutu (Balinese Baked Stuffed Duck) can also be arranged with 24 hours’ notice.

CHILDREN
If you have young children then Villa Leana is really well equipped kids with cots, high chairs, car seats, plastic cutlery and plates etc. Children normally love the fish and turtles in the pond and the guinea pigs in the downstairs garden. At Villa Leana for extra safety we also have a proper pool fence, and stair gates at the villa as well, all included in the price.

There is lots to do with the kids close by including waterparks (Nirmala is a couple of minutes drive away) paddling on the beaches at Jimbaran or Balangan and all the activities of Kuta are just a short drive away. The staff will be happy to help during the day with some child day-care and babysitting can be provided if requested - (*we add a discretionary tip of IDR 50,000/hour for the staff after 7pm when doing these duties).

TRANSPORTATION
We can arrange airport transfers and car/driver hire for you, but these costs are extra to the villa rental total. We use a safe reliable car service with English speaking drivers and the villa is located just 20 mins south of the airport. Please contact us for the current local rate.

Being up on the Bukit means a car or taxi is required to go most places as it is not very comfortable to walk from the villa to any shops, beaches or restaurants. Our villa manager can arrange for car/minivan hire if you wish; alternatively taxis are very easy and quick to arrange and to arrive at the villa. Please contact us for the current local rate.

BEACHES
There are many great beaches a quick drive away inc. Balangan (8 minutes); Jimbaran (10 minutes) and all other beaches around the Bukit are no more than 15 minutes’ drive away (Padang Padang; Geger, Bingin, Dreamland etc.). Some beaches are suitable for swimming, others for paddling or surfing or exploring rock pools.

Wonderful Vacation Villa!

The best amenity of this villa is the staff. Supada and his family took amazing care of us, and treated us like their own family. He helped us plan our activities, even helped us save on the cost of excursions and drove us around daily to ensure we had the best time we could. Highly recommend this villa!!

Three generations family time

We stayed for 9 nights 6 adults and 4 kids aged 4 and under. Great spaces for each family, and shared areas, the pool is fantastic. In house meals easy to order and delicious. The manager and staff very helpful. Oh, and we had massages every other day, they come to the villa if requested- excellent.

Beautiful Villa!

Upon our arrival to the villa with our 3 teenagers at 1:30 in the morning, we couldn't resist sitting by the pool just to enjoy the amazing view. We stayed for five days and loved every minute of our time at the villa and in Bali. The staff could not have been more accommodating. We were treated to delicious local dishes without leaving the pool. And Supada had a local's knowledge of all the beaches and sights to be seen. We were very impressed and will certainly return.

really a good place for family!!

we 11 adults and 2 children stay there for 2 nights, such a family friendly places!!!! The children like the swimming pool so mcuh! And the play room is also very full of fun. The staffs there are very helpful and welcome too！really a nice villa !

Villa Leana was beautiful, high quality & friendly

The standard of the villa was first class. The rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained. The staff were a big feature, with their friendly nature and readiness to assist. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. Good views of the distant ocean were available from most rooms and particularly over the infinity pool. The villa is handy to the huge GWK statue that is under construction and will rival the Statue of Liberty. We thorougly recommend the villa (great value).

A beautiful oasis

We arrived to a lovely surprise of an oasis tucked in a secluded hilltop overlooking a majestic view. The 2 storey villa was extremely spacious and for a family of 4 with 2 young boys of 3 years and 21 mths old, the space was very welcoming with lots of room for them to run around. An bonus for the choice of this villa was also the kids playroom at the basement which was a hit with the kids. Lots of toys and books to play with. With 2 young kids, I was initially skeptical about the safety around the pool but there’s a pool fence, and so it kept the little ones at bay. Villa Leana is especially kids friendly - with baby cot, high chair and even the transfer comes with a child seat which was much needed as we did travel out quite abit and with a 21 mth old, the car seat was a god send. The fantastic staff were always on hand - Supada, Kadek and Adek who are always ever ready with a smile. They got on extremely well with my boys and we had the ladies babysat for 2 nights with a breeze. As it was Father’s Day weekend, I had some plans arranged and Supada helped with the planning effortlessly. Its definitely one of the better managed Villas and I would certainly make a revisit especially since I’m all up for family friendly villas. Its also very close (approx 30 mins) to some of the fabulous restaurants around - Karma Kandara, Ayana, Belmond, El Kabron and one of the best ceramics warehouse - Jenggala. Fab view, fab staff, fab location makes a happy traveller!

Fantastic Views, Fantastic Staff, Fantastic Food.

Well what a remarkable and enjoyable stay at Villa Leana. The sunset (and all day) views over the infinity pool down the cliff to New Kuta Golf course and then to the beaches of Dreamland are truly spectacular. 6 Adults 3 small children and a baby were treated like royalty by the most friendly staff you could wish for. Thank you Supada, Kadack and Ade. The food was restaurant quality, fresh, tasty and always prepared with care. We will be back in July with 4 of our friends. I cant wait!!!!!!

Stunning view, spacious luxurious house.

We stayed at villa Leana in Jan 2015 with a large group. The villa is awesome with stunning view from dining and living room making the stay very memorable. Each bedroom is massive, the bathroom is so spacious and the beds are so comfortable. The pool is a bit small for us as we had 11-12 people all swimming at the same time but we had fun regardless. There's no shallow part for kids unfortunately. But my kids all brought swimming floaties so it's fine. But the view from the pool made up for the size as it was absolutely stunning from up there. Relaxing on the lazy beach chair was great! The hosts are so friendly and they all speak English well. They welcomed us in the middle of the night and send us off at dawn with a smile. They were always very willing to do whatever we asked. The bedroom gets cleaned daily. There's fresh pool towel whenever we come home in the evening and we never got any complaint about the noise we made while swimming at midnight. Breakfast is typical Aussie breakfast but they're well prepared including toasts bacon eggs sausages fruits and cereals. We ordered fried rice for breakfast and A few of us had a small lunch at the villa consisting of satay rice gado2 and fried chicken and the food were delicious and only costs us a fraction of the shop's pricing. Distance from the main road is not too far as well. We stayed in the same area not long ago but it was further and more isolated. So for the view we get, the villa distance is fairly good. On the way to the villa there are plenty of nice street food (martabak, satay, etc) and restaurants worth visiting such as Fat Chow and the 'martabak' pop up shop outside Warung satay club. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend villa Leana.

Luxurious villa with a constant refreshing breeze

The villa was fantastic for us and the service provided by Supada and his wife was top-notch. The property was well maintained, with daily cleaning of the rooms, and with numerous spaces for you to enjoy. The location on the side of the hill meant that the humidity was hardly noticed due to the near constant breeze. Supada and his wife were very accomodating to our requests and turned dinner in a feast every night. Supada was also a knowledgeable tour guide taking different groups of our party on tours on different days. Some considerations other for the property are: it is relatively secluded (which has its benefits) but it's about 15/20 minutes from restaurants and the main town of Jimbaran. Also, the stairs in the house are fairly steep, so you might want to place less mobile guests downstairs.

Lovely Leana - a great villa

We loved this villa. We spent the second half of our family reunion at Villa Leana in Balangan near Jimbaran. The views from the Balé are absolutely beautiful, especially when you get a stunning sunset which we did quite often. We didn’t stay in the master bedroom which has to be seen to be believed – it’s about the size of our house in New Zealand – but the downstairs main bedroom was also fabulously luxurious, though the bathroom did have a bit of a pong from time to time (not us, honest!). The kids also had room to spare with their own beautiful room and ensuite – they couldn’t believe that - plus their own air-conditioned playroom downstairs with toys, games, a dvd player and satellite tv, which they happily hung around in until their parents dragged themselves out of bed and into the Balé for a delicious cup of Bali coffee in the morning. The beautiful infinity pool was a firm favourite with everyone. It even had a pool fence we could shut to stop the kids going in there until we got up – a first for our trips to Bali. The staff were also lovely and couldn’t help us enough. Suparda, the villa manager, was not only our driver, interpreter and general helper he was also the most amazing cook we’ve ever had in Bali – his food was better than most restaurants. You have to try his ribs, spicy or unspicy, depending on the kids! The Villa’s really close to Jimbaran so we ate at the fish restaurants on the beach a couple of times – which was a big hit with all the kids. Another must see is Balangan beach at low tide, when the surfers hang up their boards. It’s brilliant for kids for dabbling and swimming in the amazing rock pools and the beach cafes are really cheap, yay. Also don’t forget to ask Suparda to take you to Krishna. This very low cost, fixed price souvenir shop near Kuta is brilliant for all your Christmas presents. The Villa’s well placed so we did quite a lot of day trips, but honestly, the best thing for me was just simply hanging out at the villa’s Balé, reading my book, watching the views, spotting the geckos and listening to the kids laugh. Who could ask for more than that!

well maintained, clean, friendly caring staff

As a party of 8 (6 adults and 2 young kids) we thoughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Leana. The Villa was stunning, very clean and well maintained, the owners have thought of everything, from toys in the playroom to hairdryers ect... as we had 2 young children we were worried about saftey but that was also taken care of with gates on the pool and stairs. The staff went above and beyond! the breakfasts were amazing and when we asked for dinner to be made it was better than most of the restaurants! The kids loved Supada and his lovely wife they were caring and loved to play with them. Nothing was ever too much trouble! even the drop offs and pickups to various places around Bali. We enjoyed our stay! and would love to return!

Private and comfort

Villa Leana met our expectation. The Villa is specious, beautiful and well kept. The staff is amazing, very accommodating and polite. We travelled with a bunch of young stars and they most appreciated the free wifi, I can't fault this villa in anyway, only that it is far away from everything. Beautiful Villa with excellent service!

Our party of 9, including 2 young children, had an absolutely wonderful 4 night stay at the Villa. The villa is located in a quite area of Jimbaran and perfect if you want a quite hideaway for your family holiday. It’s beautifully appointed with all the creature comfort that you need. Pool was lovely and our kids (and adults) had a very good time in it! The villa is also very child-friendly, with the kids room at the lower floor, pool gate; and not forgetting chocolate and strawberry, the 2 resident rabbits, to keep them busy. But as wonderful the Villa was, the star of the property has to be its staff. Supada and his team were absolutely fantastic. From the lovely breakfast that they prepare to taking care of us during our stay there, we were absolutely pampered. A must, if you are staying here, is to have Supada and his lovely wife prepare dinner for you. The food was arguably the best we had in Bali. Our only critique on the location is that if your party includes the elderly, the wooden floor in the bedrooms can be slippery at times. Also, would be wonderful if there were some family board games available. We will definitely return to Villa Leana or to another property by the owners. Thank you!

Value for Money

The road toward the villa is very bumpy and can be dangerous at night, the Pool is a bit of a disappointment for us (too small) . But that's all we had for the negative feedback. The rest are just wonderful. We truly enjoy our 4 nights stay in Villa Leana. We have a late arrival, Rena, the lady owner has arranged a supper for us which was very thoughtful, Thank you so much. The breakfast was simply delicious and the spread was very generous, what a great way to start the day! We even request to have Indonesia style Breakfast for one morning. We have most of our dinner in the villa prepared by Supada and his wife, The food was yummy! Supada also arrange massages in the villas for us, its was very good and cheap ! We would definitely want to try out the other villas managed by Tom and Rena for our next visit to Bali. Meanwhile, Wishing you a Merry X'mas and Happy New Year 2014

Hi we are Rene and Tom Springall. As itinerant expats, we had nowhere to call home, but we both loved Bali and after several trips here over the years in 2004 we decided to buy our own villa in Candidasa and named it after our daughter (Villa Talia Vashti).

Initially we just used our villa for family & friends, but we invested a lot of time training the staff to provide our expected high level of service. In 2006 we decided tentatively to offer our wonderful villa to others, and were amazed at the response – loads of people came and stayed and loved our little villa – it was a total revelation to us.

So in 2013 we set up Kid Friendly Villas, to provide villas in Bali especially for families with kids and now own and manage 12 villas in Bali.

Why they chose this property

We love the family feel of Villa Leana. An ideal place for enjoying a great gathering.

When we had young kids this place was fantastic. Stair gates and pool fences meant we knew where they were, but mostly they were down in the playroom, where the staff were happy to look after them giving us a well earned break.

What makes this property unique

The sunset views each night are to die for, but the views generally are just so uplifting. The staff (Supada and Kadek) are just amazing cooks - better than most restaurants. We eat like kings when we stay at Villa Leana.
