Beautiful Wisconsin Lake-front Log Home (sleeps 6-8)

Kroenke Kottage was built in 2009 and is located on the northwest shore of Shawano Lake near the end of a dead end road. Our log home includes an attached double garage. The main level features a beautiful vaulted great room with 2 story windows overlooking Shawano Lake. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances (including a dishwasher), hickory cabinets, solid surface counter tops and a full complement of dishes and flatware. The master bedroom, also located on the main level, features log furniture including a queen size bed and full bath. For your convenience there is a washer and dryer, mud room/foyer and 1/2 bath on the main level. Upstairs you will find a large loft, 2 bedrooms and a 3/4 bath. The loft features a sitting area overlooking the great room (and two full size futon couches / sleepers). Both of the upstairs bedrooms have a queen-size beds. Other features: Screened porch, covered deck with recessed lighting, A/C and ceiling fans, and wireless internet. There are also games, movies and a Bluetooth-enabled stereo available for your use while staying at our lake house.

This is an amazing property. The luxury log cabin vibe really suits the lake setting and makes you feel like you are living large. Plenty of space for our family of 4 adults. The lake view is fabulous. The yard and landscaping are also top tier. We felt secluded yet close to everything we needed or wanted to do. We brought our own kayaks and kayaked every day. Only a short drive to Shawano Lake County park for a picnic and swim.Tim was very responsive to our inquiries. We hope to return in the years ahead.

We rent this property each year for a family gathering. It is consistently fantastic! The home is stunning, super clean and always well maintained. It has become a favorite annual destination for us and our adult children. We rent a pontoon boat nearby. There are great shops and restaurants nearby, but we prefer hanging out at this beautiful home as much as possible. The owner is quick to respond and very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Great Shawano lake stay

Beautiful cabin (house really) clean with all the amenities one could want. Loved the ability to rent a pontoon and keep on site for the week. Lots of fishing and even a huge muskee catch! We will be back.

Weekend Getaway

This property was absolutely gorgeous! It was perfect for our family of 5 ! Plenty of board games, cards and even a foosball table to accommodate our rainy weekend! We cannot say enough about what a great time we had fishing off the pier and sitting at the fire pit nightly! We can’t wait to go back! Thank you for a great stay !

Amazing log cabin get away

We had a fantastic stay at the log cabin! The view from inside the home was breathtaking, making us feel like we were truly in a place of peace and beauty. It felt less like a rental and more like we were guests in someone’s cherished home. The attention to detail in every corner made our stay exceptionally comfortable, and the amenities provided everything we needed. This cabin is definitely worth the extra cost for the best experience on Shawano Lake!

Spectacular property!

This is the second year we have rented this spectacular home. The location is ideal and the set-up is perfect for a family weekend on the lake. It's spotless and stocked with many amenities. We rented a pontoon boat from American Marina which is just down the road. There's a great dock for fishing and a beautiful fireplace for campfires. Highly recommend!!

Great week!

Has the log home look we like for a lake vacation. Good space for visiting— screen porch perfect for morning coffee time. Garage was an added bonus. Space was great for separate visiting— adults could be separate from the teenagers when we wanted to be. Everything was what I had hoped it would be.

Great rental!

This is a great property and a very attentive owner! My family and I were more than impressed with the location, the property, and it’s surroundings. The views were fantastic and the home was comfortable and spacious for our family to enjoy. The owner was amazing as well! We accidentally locked ourselves out of the cabin and Tim answered our call immediately and got us back into the house within minutes. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nice lake view rental!

Spectacular Lake Home!

We stay at this gorgeous lake home every Fall for a special weekend with family. The home is always spotless. Furniture and beds are comfy and plenty of linens are provided. This home has everything you need for a perfect escape on beauty Shawano Lake. The pier is perfect for fishing and tying up the pontoon boat we rent. We love having a fire in the firepit each night. We enjoy this place so muchvthat it has become an annual tradition.

Our Favorite Rental Property!

Each Fall, we plan a long weekend here with family. This home is stunning...even more beautiful than the photos. It's always spotless and well stocked. Our adult children ask to come here each year even when we have asked if they would like to go to other locations. We rent a pontoon boat at the nearby Shawano County Park. There also are many great shops and supper clubs in Shawano and surrounding areas to explore, although we prefer to grill out and have a campfire by the lake each night. night night plor.ting

Great Week on the Lake

We had a great week with our family- my husband and me, 3 young kids and two grandparents. The house was set up well so that our family was able to be upstairs and the grandparents downstairs. We really enjoyed using our boat on the lake for the week. The yard was nice and we were able to enjoy watching the kids play in the water at a short distance.. The house was very clean upon arrival. This was a great place to stay if you’re looking to unplug and enjoy some time in Northern WI.

Spectacular Home, Well Furnished, Owner Easy to Work With

We have stayed in a number of vacation rental homes and this one on Shawano Lake ranks among the best of the BEST! This log home is even more spectacular that the photos. The home was spotless and everything was in great working condition. It's well stocked with a charcoal grill, a full kitchen, linens and even plenty of lawn chairs. It was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 1 child. The owner was extremely thorough and easy to work with. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back next year!!

4th Annual C/O 1986 fishing trip.

Kroenke Kottage was everything the photo's show and more. We had tons of laughs reminiscing on our high school days and just catching up. We fished everyday for hours and only caught baby pan fish. Our last day we drove to Green Bay and caught 4 nice walleyes, 1 perch and a pike. All in all, we had a wonderful blast. But...if you're renting a cabin on Shawano Lake, make sure it's not for a fishing trip. Lol

Perfect!

We had a fantastic time! Such a great place for my family to gather together as it accommodated us perfectly! Loved that it had a bed/bath on 1st floor for my elderly parents who can not climb stairs very well. This lake home was beautiful and well appointed with everything you could ever want or need! It’s in a great location! It was just down the road from the boat landing and close to everything you will want to see In Shawano! So much to do! We did a lot of boating and fishing! Sat out by the camp fire. Cute little shops downtown, nice places to eat, even spent a little time at the Shawano fair! Tim kept checking in to make sure we didn’t have any questions and even recommended we visit the fair which was a great suggestion! Best cherry pie ever! Even found out the neighbors were some friends of ours! What a small world! Great time was had from all! We tried to leave this property as beautifully as we found it! Would definitely stay again!!

Fun setting for the kids.

We had a great reunion with our old friends and their families. A little disappointed that we were unable to stay in the cottage the first night (Saturday)because of a huge storm. The cottage had no power. Luckily we lived within 30 minutes of the cottage and we could stay at home. and our friends from AZ and CO did not arrive until Monday. No refunds.The fishing for the little kids was wonderful. Drop a line ...catch a fish. They had a blast. Foosball table was a hit everyday. Fires outside every night were relaxing and fun. Neighbors were very friendly. We had a one year old with us and the uneven tile flooring was a little concerning and a trip hazard. Overall the cottage was beautiful.

It's unfortunate that the storm on Saturday knocked out power to several thousand homes and businesses in the area, but it sounds like the rest of your week was great. I love the look and durability of the Mongolian granite floors on the first floor, but the uneven finish which is part of the character of the floors does take some getting used to. Take care.

Amazing Rental Home and Location!

My husband, son, and I rented this beautiful home last July for the week of the 4th and it was amazing. I was born and raised in Shawano County but the military took me out of the area; despite living all over the world I still call this area my home . We rent a cottage on Shawano or Loon Lake every year for the week of 4th of July; and have been doing so for at least the last 8yrs. Our stay at the Kroenke's Kottage was by far the most elegant, comfortably equipped, and well maintained rental in all years renting! The home is immaculately clean, elegantly decorated/designed, modern kitchen, washer & dryer, and has pretty much all of the comforts of one's own home. And wait for it......FREE WiFi everyone! And it REALLY works, without having to climb a tree or get into and hold "the Downward Dog" during use. That was the "icing on the cake" due to my husband having some work to do during the week; we didn't blow through our whole data plan in the first day like prior years. Again, just the "icing on the cake" because with a home, view of Shawano Lake, and location such as this, who needs WiFi?! The beds were quite comfortable, which is rare in a rental!! For those "over-packers" like us, there is more than enough closet/bathroom/storage space for clothing and personal items. The screened in porch, elegant and cozy, was great for visiting and relaxing w/ glass of wine or during poor weather. Plenty of room for vehicles (guests). The big garage accommodated all our outdoor equipment for safe keeping and protection from the elements. Plenty of room for kids to run and play without heavy traffic; large enough for our rookie football games. Kids "Caught and Released" lots of fish from the dock; which is large enough to dock WaveRunners and boats! The fun and busy Shawano County Park is just down the road! The neighbors are friendly and welcoming. Nice to walk out to the picnic table for a morning cup of coffee or while enjoying a campfire and exchange pleasant conversations. Down the road, they let our kids use their Basketball hoop.There is so much to love about this rental and it's location! The Kroenke's are friendly people (true Wisconsin"ites")! We are thankful for their willingness to share this amazing place! Could go on and on about this rental so I say in closing, "I would recomend this Rental to ANYONE for ANY REASON!" Rent this property and I assure you it won't disappoint! Money well spent (outside of home GB Packer tickets)!

I grew up on a dairy farm not far from Shawano Lake. Although my wife and I currently live in Wilmington, North Carolina, we enjoy our time in Wisconsin reconnecting with family and friends.

Why they chose this property

This property has been in the family for 3 generations. We have moved multiple times during our marriage, and so this place became "home-base" to us and our daughters. We rebuilt in 2009 with the hope that this home will be in the family for many generations to come.

What makes this property unique

This property is the only lake-front log home for rent on Shawano Lake, and is located near the end of a quiet, dead-end street. It is our home-away from home with a full-size kitchen, vaulted, 2-story great room, a private master-bedroom suite and a large loft that includes a foosball table. Our home includes: carpeted bedrooms, hard wood floors, unique slate tile, meganite counter tops, and log cabin decor. This comfortable home offers you a front seat viewing of Shawano Lake. Whether you are sitting on the screened porch, drinking coffee from a comfy lounger in the great room or sitting by a campfire outside as you watch lake life go by -- on and above the lake -- Bald Eagles, ducks and ducklings, swans, cardinals, morning doves and an occasional otter; gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, a full moon or starry sky!
