About this property

This Villa really is the Jewel in the Crown. Baspinar is a lovely quaint village set high in the mountains above the village of Lapta village and is known for its breathtaking unobstructed panoramic views. The name Baspinar is means mountain spring and this still exists today running down through Lapta village. Its a beautiful drive up the mountain on a peaceful country lane with a mix of nationalities in the area. The mountains are simply stunning and are close to so many beautiful walks yet only 8 minutes from the coast road and there are several well stocked local shops close by.
The villa has 4 bathrooms with 3 en-suite a fabulous pool and great outdoor space. The living space is furnished to a high standard with a separate kitchen area. BBQ, beach towels, hair dryer are providing. Pool size is 10x5 with outside shower. If you want away from it all for a relaxing holiday this is the Villa for you.

Yet only 10 minutes in car down to all the beaches and bars and restaurants

There are many water sports available within 15 minutes drive of the villa including Jet Ski hire, Speed Boat hire, Fishing Trips, a Sailing School at Sardunya Bay with a Hobbie Catamaran and other equipment available for hire at great rates.
For those who wish to see the sights on horseback there is a riding club. They do beginners lessons and visit local landmarks for the more experienced.
In the evenings the harbour bustles in Kyrenia and there is an evening market there most nights. It is a perfect place to sit with a cool drink and watch the sun go down. There are many restaurants there with great ones away from the harbour in the pretty cobbled side streets.
There are a number of casinos in the area for those who fancy a flutter with food and drinks on the house.
There are countless great Restaurants available from traditional Cypriot / Turkish, to fine European cuisine, Fish specialists, Indian food, Chinese food, Stone Grill, Pizza, and Kleftico.

Villa Jewel September 2021

Beautiful villa set high up in the Bespamak mountains above Lapta. So peaceful and quiet and private with outstanding views of the sea and the coast below. However 4 star given as you pay the price for being so remote!! A car is essential and preferably a 4x4 as the climb to the villa is very steep, narrow and rutted, especially the approach to the villa. Not for the faint hearted. Even a local taxi driver refused to attempt the final ascent to the villa. Forcing my wife to climb the final 200 yards in high heels !! Also as the villa is so high up, and remote, even the bin lorry cannot reach it , so there are no external dustbins, and you need to make a daily drop off of rubbish to the locals bins about 400 yards away. You can’t let rubbish build up, as we all know in hot countries ants etc will plague you!! Also there were no internal nor external bins at the villa so plastic sacks are required to store rubbish. Not ideal in 30 degree plus temperatures. That said we would go back in a heartbeat as we love the remote location and watching the wildlife in the mountains. Amazing birds of prey, and the Bee Eaters are a sight to behold and listen to. We even saw a chameleon. The property managers, Villabook, were brilliant, responding very quickly and efficiently to any questions we had prior to our stay and during it. Special thanks to Jacquie, Kate and Barry.

A superb villa in a fabulous setting.

This was our second villa holiday in Lapta and we loved everything about it. September is a perfect month to visit the area with the weather very settled and not too hot!The villa is beautiful with everything you would need. It was scrupulously clean and well situated with stunning views. Pete and Lizzy , the owners, couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. As the villa is high up on the hillside and roads around are very steep, I would recommend that hiring a car is definitely a must. We would definitely recommend Villa Jewel and would love to return. JEWEL VILLA LIVES UP TO ITS NAME

Beautiful villa with gorgeous views, well worth considering for your next holiday. Extremely clean and well maintained and the additional ensuite bathrooms are very convenient for a large family. Beautiful scenery and blissfully quiet. Due to its elevated position , the access road is quite steep. We had a marvellous time and after 2 weeks were extremely relaxed. Maureen, Alan and family.

Lovely villa

I was dispointed that I was charge £50.00 English money for a welcoming pack, for which only cost the most£15.00 . The sugar was left from the last people the small coffee was half empty. I was they for 10 day on which no one came to change the sheets or towel.i was stop money from my deposit for a wall that had crumbled. As my grandson stood on it and it gave way. So would I go back to that villa no . But I will be going back to Cyprus again

Amazing sea views and scenic mountainous setting

Very clean, spacious and modern villa perched up in the hills of Lapta, difficult to find at first but much easier second time round. Private setting with nice pool and patios alongside garden - all very well maintained. Short drive to Camelot, Escape and Kervansaray beach. Pete and Lizzy were a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. We had a wonderful stay.
