Very nice holiday home!

We really enjoyed our stay in Aurigo. village of Aurigo is small and remote, but there is also peace and quiet and you are far away from the crowds of tourists on the coast. We found the road there unproblematic, although on some days we had problems finding a parking space (which is why one star was deducted). You can eat very well in the town of Borgomaro, which is not too far away. There is neither a ristorante nor a bar directly in Aurigo. There is a small shop where we always got panini in the morning - great! Now to the house: the house is rustically furnished, all the furniture is in order. The bathrooms are modern, as is the kitchen. We loved sitting on the large terrace, which is shaded all day. Elena was easy to reach by email and she gave good tips for excursions. All in all, we enjoyed our vacation and would come again.

Leider kein angenehmer Ort -schade

Das Gute zuerst: Elena ist sehr freundlich und hat das holprige Check-in gut gemanaged. Das Haus ist groß für eine Familie. Aurigo ist ein netter Ort, Leider war das Geschirr nicht sauber, alle Gläser sind "blind", beim Geschirr ist einiges angeschlagen, Gäste haben Essensreste hinterlassen. In der Küche fehlte ein Mixer, eine Kaffee-oder Teekanne. Alle Wasserhähne müssen dringend entkalkt werden. Das obere Mini Badezimmer ist eine Zumutung. (Bild vorhanden), es gibt keine Duschabtrennung, somit setzt man das Zimmer unter Wasser, die alte Toilette ist eklig. (Foto). Im Schlafzimmer müssen die uralten Steckdosen erneuert werden, wenn man daran zieht, hat man die Drähte in der Hand. Es gibt ein Bügeleisen, aber es fehlt ein Bügelbrett. Im Wohnzimmer ist es ungemütlich mit all den Sachen, die "entsorgt" hier rumstehen. Das Sofa und Sessel müsste gereinigt werden. Der Tisch vor dem Haus ist krumm und schief, die Sitzkissen verschlissen. Es fehlen Fliegenfenster. ... Alles im allem: Hier kümmert sich niemand richtig um die die Wohnung! Wir haben uns nicht wohlgefühlt (zum 1. Mal in 20 Jahren Italienaufenthalt) - und haben konsequenterweise vorzeitig dieses ungastliche Haus verlassen. Sehr schade alles.

I understood from the first contact that I would have problems with these guests... they have changed the reservation I don't know how many times, when they finally arrived they said they had sent an email (never received) asking to find available in the house a baking tray to make a quiche, a tea pot (there is a kettle in the house) because they needed to leave their special teas in infusion and even a CD player for their classic music! I did my best to find the baking tray and the tea pot (Aurigo is a very small village...) but in 20 minutes I was back with what they asked for. During their stay they never mentioned any of the problems that they wrote in the review and I found out by chance they they had left before the end of the stay. I've been renting this house since 10 years and I never had any problem, I always have 5 stars reviews and many families that return every year. The problem with some dirty dishes is true because we had a serious lack of water in the days before their arrival and the previous guests left some dishes not well cleaned and put them in the cupboard so I didn't realise that and I immediately apologized for this. The small bathroom upstairs, as I had informed the guests, is only a second toilet that maybe can be useful during the night but nobody has ever thought to take a shower there because, as said, there is no curtain nor box, only a small shower head that will be removed this winter when we will make this bathroom new. downstairs there is a proper bathroom, made a few years ago, with a big shower. I'm sorry that these people didn't appreciate their stay, I never had a bad review (I rent 4 houses in total in the village) so I really don't understand all this badness but, as I said, I should have understood from the beginning that they would caused troubles.

Tolles Haus in wunderschöner Lage

Wir hatten Glück und durften sehr spontan eine Woche unseres Urlaubs in Elenas tollem Haus verbringen. Die Kommunikation war hervorragend. Obwohl Elena auf Geschäftreise war, war sie jederzeit erreichbar und versorgte uns selbst aus der Ferne mit wertvollen Urlaubstipps. Wir waren zwar nur zu zweit, das Haus bietet aber genügend Platz für eine größere Familie oder mehrere Paare. Die Küche und die große Terasse mit Grill bieten alles, was es benötigt, um sich kulinarisch bestens zu versorgen. Das Dorf Aurigo liegt landschaftlich wunderschön und stellt einen tollen Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge an das Meer wie auch in die Berge dar. Die abgeschiedene Lage bringt jedoch mit sich, dass Restaurants oder Supermärkte nur durch relativ lange Autofahrten durch die kleinen Sträßchen Liguriens erreichbar sind, was uns jedoch nicht weiter gestört hat. Für Fahranfänger ist es aber vielleicht nicht das ideale Territorium ;)

Schöner Urlaub in ruhiger Umgebung

Wir haben uns in dem Ferienhaus, sowie dem kleinen Ort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Vermieterin war um unser Wohlergehen sehr bemüht und hat uns sehr gut betreut. Auch die Bewohner des Orts, vor allem der Ladenbesitzer, waren sehr freundlich zu uns. Wir können uns gut vorstellen wiederzukommen.

Wunderschöner Urlaub

Wunderschönes traditionelles eingerichtetes Haus mit einer einladenden Terrasse mit einer sehr schönen Aussicht mit viel Platz für eine große Familie. Das Haus bietet alles was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin die sehr viele Tipps gegeben hat. Sehr empfehlenswert und kommen gerne wieder.

Schöne Unterkunft, interessantes Dorf, herrliche Aussicht, wohltuende Ruhe und herzliche Vermieter

… aber auch zum Mittelmeer war es nicht zu weit. Wer von alldem etwas haben möchte ist in Aurigo ganz richtig. Ausser einer Gelegenheit zum Essen Gehen vor Ort findet sich in Aurigo alles was by für einen erholsamen Urlaub nötig ist. Man kann im großen Tal ringsum wandern, Radfahren, einfach nur spazieren gehen oder sich auch mal einfach nur mal auf der schönen, mit Wein überdachten Terrasse ausruhen. Und wem das zu viel Ruhe ist, der ist in weniger als einer halben Stunde am Meer und kann dort die ganz andere Fülle Liguriens und den Trubel italienischer Mittelmeerstädte geniessen. Also Erholung pur für die man mindestens eine Woche einplanen sollte.

Sehr glücklicher Zufall

Nachdem wir unverhofft eine zusätzliche Kurzarbeitswoche zum ursprünglich geplanten 2-wöchigen Urlaub nehmen mussten und erst mal ohne großartige Plänen nur entspannen wollten sind wir auf dieses wirklich komplett eingerichtete Haus gestoßen. Wunderschön in eines der vielen (Aurigo ist nur eines davon) ligurischen Nester gelegen, hat uns die Unterkunft vom Aufwachen bis spät abends stets was geboten. Bei geöffneten Fenstern aus dem großen Schlafzimmer Fernblick auf die sonnen gebadeten gegenüber liegenden Hügel und dem Kirchenturm, Mittags durch die Reben Schatten spendend auf der Terasse, sowie abends ganz chillig ebenso dort faulenzen. Tagesausflüge in der Umgebung, Wanderungen und ein kühles Bad im benachbarten Bach (Achtung: NICHT Kleinkindtauglich) und auch an der ligurischen Küste (Achtung: heuer im gesamten Abschnitt Imperia bis San Remo auffällig dreckig und heruntergekommen!) waren problemlos möglich. Im Ort gibt es fußläufig einen kleinen Laden wo man sich mit dem Nötigsten versorgen kann sowie eine gute Metzgerei. Da alle diese alten Dörfer damals nicht die heutigen Verkehrsbedürfnisse berücksichtigen konnten, sollte man mit den Proportionen des eigenen Fahrzeugs sehr gut vertraut sein oder auch mal 35m Meter Fußweg vom Parkplatz vor dem Rathaus bis zur Haustüre verkraften können :-). Unser Ziel, erst mal eine Faulenziawoche mit unserem Kurzen einzulegen, haben wir erreicht. Behaltlos weiter zu empfehlen. Danke für die Gastfreundschaft!

Entspannter und erholsamer Urlaub in einem kleinen ligurischen Dorf

Zusammengefasst: empfehlenswerte Unterkunft für bis zu 4-köpfige (ggf. mehr bei sep. Aufbettung) Familie, die die Unterkunft entweder als Basis für Tagesausflüge ins Umland und ans Meer oder nur zum Faulenzen auf der Terrasse nutzen will. - Faktisch Doppelhaushälfte, für 4 Personen gut bemessen, praktisch eingerichtet - Sensationell: große Terrasse, überdacht durch Wein- und Olivenbaumlaub - Dank Höhe rd. 450m ü. NN stets leichter Wind, was wir in der Sommerhitze schätzten - wenn man "Urlaub am Meer" erwartet, ist das das falsche Objekt: rd. 15 Km / 25 PKW-Minuten nördlich von Imperia über zuletzt kurvige Straßen bergauf durch Olivenhaine. Landschaftlich reizvolles liqurisches "Hinterland", aber letztlich muss man immer fahren. Für Ausflüge mit dem PKW ist der Ort aber eine gute Ausgangsbasis; für Strandtage haben wir Sanremo und Spiagge di Arma di Taggia schätzen gelernt, - vor Ort gibt es kleinen Lebensmittelmarkt, der das Wichtigste führt. Alles weitere in Imperia (wir haben uns letztlich auf bennet und Conad fokussiert). - Der Wirt des (einzigen) sehr einfach wirkenden Restaurants im Ort hatte kein Interesse, uns zu bewirten. " Censin da Bea" in Borgomaro ist eine Empfehlung - aber Zeit (3h!) und Hunger für vielgängiges, landestypisches Menü (keine Karte!) mitbringen. - sehr angenehme und engagierte Vermieter-Familie, die in 2.-3. Generation Olivenanbau und -verarbeitung betreibt. Am Anreisetag hatten wir uns nahe der Autobahnabfahrt Imperia verabredet und die Vermieterin ist mit uns gemeinsam zum Objekt gefahren. Fazit: wir können uns sehr gut vorstellen, dort wieder Urlaub zu machen!
