Great location and rental

This was a perfect location for our family. Right in the heart of it all but still quiet and comfortable. Very clean and very responsive hosts.

Excellent stay

Joao greeted us at check in and was gracious and charming and gave great tips for restaurants. Location was excellent for touring Lisbon sights. The layout of the apartment worked really well. Highly recommend.

Perfect location to explore Lisbon

This was the perfect location to explore Lisbon. Leo made our check in a breeze and was an absolute gem in making recommendations and checking in to see if there was anything that was needed during our trip. We were within walking distance of anything we needed. As noted in other reviews there are stairs to navigate. We didn’t mind because it helped burn some of the many calories we were consuming!

Quiet stay in the heart of the nighlife

You could easily be in the middle of fado, gay nightlife and great city ambience with little inconvenience to your sanity. Great location, clean, helpful host and close to transport. We really lucked out!

Great apartment

Clean, convenient and comfortable for our short but sweet trip to Lisbon. Would very much recommend the apartment. Property management was very helpful and communicative with any questions we had. The apartment has all the necessities you will need. Check in and out process was very easy.

4 night visit

Nice location, looks like pictures, little noise in front rooms at night but bedrooms quiet. Well appointed but could use a small microwave, and the shower temps take some patience to adjust. Lots of great restaurants in the area and convenient to Praca Camoes. I would stay again.

Terrific Location & Accommodations

We arrived in Lisbon for our last 2 nights in Portugal before flying home to California and absolutely loved the convenient location of this apartment off one of the main squares and in the heart of a lively historic neighborhood with wonderful bars and restaurants. The owner's brother (who speaks impeccable English!) met us, helped us carry our luggage up the 5 flights! of stairs and stayed to answer all our questions and make suggestions on where to eat and what to visit. He even went way beyond the call of duty to seek out packaging tape for my girlfriend so she could mail some packages home. The apartment itself was lovely! Beautiful, remodeled and luxurious bathrooms, quiet location of bedrooms and light and open living areas and kitchen. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would book it again when I visit Lisbon.

Great apartment, central location, responsive host

Overall a great stay - the apartment was as it was stated and was very clean. The 2 bedrooms are very private as they are located on opposite sides of the apartment. The host let us store bags before the check in which was great as well. Be ready for some walking up and down stairs during your stay as there is no elevator but stairwell is large enough and well lit. They also provided 2 sets of keys which I never thought about how convenient that was until we stayed at other apartments that only provided 1 set. The location was central although an unusual neighborhood - very closed and quiet during the day but in the evening chairs and tables emerge in the streets as restaurants open and it seems to come alive. One of the best restaurants in Lisbon only a block or two away - you need to try A Nossa Casa It was a well equipped apartment and no issues at all ! Enjoy

Great location, walking distance to many attractions.

We had a great stay at the property. Apartment is very spacious, bedrooms are located on the opposite sides on the apartment so it would be a great place for 2 couples. AC was a necessity as it was very hot outside so it helped to sleep at night. Few important notes: Uber doesn't come to the door of the building and drops you off of a major street so it you have big and heavy suitcases be prepared to walk on the cobblestone road for a few minutes up the hill to the apartment building. Same would apply to the apartment itself, its on the top floor so at least 7+ flights of stairs. Door to the building is very narrow so it would be difficult for a larger person to comfortably walk in/out. Furniture in the living room could probably use a steam cleaning. Overall, nothing major that would keep me from staying there again. Very cute apartment.

Beautiful space and great location!

Wonderful top condo in the Bairro Alto area. Walk outside to a street filled with charm and character. So many restaurants, shops, and bars to choose. Great central location to Bairro Alto, Chiada, Alfama. All so walkable. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Loved it

Very comfortable for two couples traveling together. Joao met us and was very helpful getting us settled into the apartment. Well furnished in the kitchen, bathrooms. We were greeted with a lovely bottle of wine and pastries for the morning.

Our stay was excellent overall. Family of four, older daughters (17, 20). Apartment had excellent beds, everything you could need and was lovely. Quiet bedrooms (courtyard facing) even though it’s right in the middle of the entertainment area. Seemed very safe. You can walk to everything from great sights, great food/wine, pastry, grocery etc. Welcomed with wine and pastel de nata and friendly check in. The shower temperature is a little challenging to dial in I guess was only critique we could think of. Excellent VRBO and I would highly recommend.

Location, location, location!

Jorge's apartment was fantastic. The location was just the best, you are right in the middle of all the night life! However, remarkably, it's incredibly quiet with the windows closed. Besides the many flights of stairs to get up to the apartment, everything else is really nice. It was clean, comfortable beds, good A/C, coffee was provided, as well as toilet paper, paper towels and shampoo. We had a little issue upon arrival, door was locked and no-one there to greet us, Here, the communication could have been better. The restaurant owner across the street, Antonio, came to our rescue, setting us up with a nice outdoor table, a bottle of wine, and also called the owner to help us. There were circumstances beyond the owner's control preventing him from meeting us upon arrival, but there was plenty of time to send an email warning us of the situation. It was an issue, but in the end, a very small one. The other issue we had was that at the pillows and bedding were "Down" filled and two of our quests have allergies to down. Other than that, everything was wonderful. When we return, we will definitely stay at Jorge's place again!

Great location in Lisbon

Beautiful apartment in a neighborhood close to a famous bakery of the Portuguese specialty, Pastel de Nata, and other good restaurants. Thoughtful hosts have stocked the apartment with full compliment of kitchen needs and coffee pods, tea, sugar and a bottle of wine. Appreciated that the host representative met us at the site and gave us a hand with getting our bags up to the fourth floor.

Absolutely lovely

Absolutely beautiful apartment in Barre Alto area of Lisbon. The apartment is very clean and well taken care of. The neighborhood is it's own experience, full of positive energy. I have never worked with such gracious hosts. We will definitely be back and will plan a longer stay.

Amazing stay!

Jorge’s apartment was amazing. His brother, João, was so friendly and helpful. He was able to greet us and hold our luggage until we could check in. He gave us a very thoughtful welcome gift and great recommendations. I took the car suite and my brother took the dog suite. Was very comfortable with lots of character, yet clean and modern. The ac worked great. Couldn’t beat the location. Waking distance to everything and party right outside our door, yet quiet when windows are closed. Can’t wait to return!

An amazing apartment!

This was one of our very favorite European VRBO experiences. The neighborhood was delightful - full of nightlife and activity. But our bedrooms were totally silent. We loved having air conditioning. It was a heat wave while we were in town. And we enjoyed the layout of the apartment - lots of privacy and a nice pullout couch for our 14 year old. Our hosts were also kind and accommodating. I really can’t say nice enough things about them and the whole stay!

I am curious by profession and I am passionate about creating new and beautiful things. That led me to globetrot for a few years, as a student and later as a young designer. I love travelling and meeting new people and other cultures, and applying all that I learn to the things I make and design.

We are most of the time in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Sometimes, in Lisbon, where I was born, and the place I always come back to recharge batteries.
