About this property

Accommodation in French mountain town (Provence) with private pool

Here you live in a charming house in three levels with large roof terrace and small pool (about 3 x 3 m). Dining room with basement vault, simple bathroom with seating tub and toilet. Two bedrooms with double beds on the second floor as well as easier sleeping on the third floor. Kitchen with stove, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge. The furniture is old or antique. The house is not shared with others. The pool is also private.

There is a piano in the house and it is walking distance to the village center.

We have a person in the village who will help us with the house when we are not there. He also controls the pool once a week. In order to contact us, it is usually quickest to get answers if you write in Swedish or English. We can also answer French, but not as fast.

An amazing French mountain village with nice people. About 30 min by car north of St Tropez.

Best is to hire a car to get around, because the house is in a mountain village without any common communications.

Absolutely loved our stay here- not the first time! We adore the house and all of its quirky features and charm and the village feels so welcoming and inviting and away from the madness of some of the main towns on the cote d azur. The plunge pool being cold is a welcome feature on the hotter days and the roof terrace for eating and relaxing -and starGazing is fabulous! Thank you to the family for allowing us to rent this lovely village house. We will return!

Wonderful place, gorgeous house!

We had a wonderful time at this lovely old house in the village. Everything was in walking distance and we found it all very easy and friendly. House was old and quirky and and we really enjoyed the plunge pool on the super hot days! Very good communication from both the owner and the caretaker/housekeeper and very easy to arrive and leave. A very happy couple of weeks spent here which was a brilliant place for so many lovely areas and beaches. We will return! Thank you so much Staffan for allowing us to stay!

Sehr schönes Haus mit Geschichte

Alles war unkompliziert. Die Atmosphäre im Haus und in La Garde Freinet haben uns sehr gut gefallen, besonders die Bilder, welchen einen Einblick in die Geschichte bieten. Es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Für Genießer und Individualisten

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und bedanken uns bei der Familie Öfwerman für ihr großes Vertrauen. Das Haus ist originell ausgebaut und individuell und persönlich eingerichtet. Viele Bücher, Bilder, CDs und Spirituosen zum Austrinken und Nachfüllen. Das Esszimmer mit Gewölbe und der beleuchtet Pool am Abend sind ein Highligth. Schlüsselübergabe war ganz komplikationslos. Man sollte es nicht unbedingt besonders aufgeräumt und sauber mögen, dafür entschädigt aber das Ambiente. Der Ort ist sehr charmant hat zwei Markttage in der Woche, zwei kleine Supermärkte und einen leckerem Bäcker. Es gibt sogar ein kleines typisch französisches Nachtleben mit Lokalen. Für Romantiker sind Haus und Ort und Umgebung unbedingt weiter zu empfehlen!

Unique well equipped character property in great location in a picturesque village

This is a wonderful property with such an interesting history and so well converted to retain its character. The roof terrace has amazing views and the plunge pool is a real bonus in the hot weather. The art work and photographs around the property are a real delight. It is so conveniently located on the edge of the village, making it easy to pop out for croissants and baguettes in the morning and the markets on Wednesday and Sunday. There are some lively bar/restaurants in the village with live music but we were never disturbed by noise. A perfect place for a family of grand parents, parents and grandchildren - we all loved it.
