About the Surrounding Area:
The Garda Resort Village is located right on the border of Lombardy and Veneto regions, between towns of Sirmione (Brescia province, Lombardy region) and Peschiera del Garda (Verona province, Veneto regions) and as such provides great access to both regional cuisines and historic and entertainment landmarks.
In close proximity, there are more than 30 entertainment venues including the renowned Garda amusement parks (Gardaland and newly built Legoland Waterpark, Movieland, Canevaworld, Parco Sigurtà, Park Zoo Safari, etc.).
Only 3km away, in nearby PESCHIERA DEL GARDA's historic Old Town you will find the pentagon-shaped city-fortress nestled on the shores of Lake Garda, in the Riviera degli Ulivi. Peschiera is an exceptional and rare example of a waterway fortified city and in 2016 its Venetian walls became one of Unesco World Heritage Sites. Besides it, Peschiera offers its visitors peaceful and relaxing moments in the natural surroundings (Laghetto del Frassino and in the Mincio Valley). The stretch of territory reaching Sirmione from Peschiera is called 'Lugana' and it is well-known for the production of a tasty and unique dry white wine with the same name, Lugana wine, which (in 1967) was one of the first Italian wines to obtain a DOC (Denominazione Origine Controllata) trademark. The Municipality of Peschiera del Garda is the starting point of a 43.5 km cycle path. It runs along the Mincio river and reaches Mantua. From the port you can reach all the lakeshore Garda towns by ferryboat.
At 5km SIRMIONE is a center of excellence with its famous Roman Thermal Baths & Spa, where you can enjoy a relaxing spa experience with breathtaking lake views. Situated on the south bank of Lake Garda, in correspondence with a long and narrow peninsula that divides the gulfs of Desenzano and Peschiera, Sirmione was made even more famous thanks to writers such as Catullo, Stendhal, Lawrence and Goethe that honored its
artistic and environmental beauty. Apart from hosting an internationally acclaimed Spa, Sirmione also boasts a rich historical and artistic heritage, that includes the ruins of an ancient Roman Villa of the first imperial era, known as the Catullo Grottoes, the Scaligera Fortress and the church of "S. Pietro "in Mavino, that dates back to the VIII century. The city center is characterized by narrow alleys, stone-walled houses, souvenir shops, boutiques and cafes and restaurants offering visitors a romantic and fun-filled experience.
At 10km there is CHERVO GOLF CLUB SAN VIGILIO which boasts 36 holes of which 9 executive holes and 27 League level holes divided into three courses where all the necessary equipment can be rented.
In about 30 km there is the city of VERONA and its famous Arena, the Roman amphitheater which offers various concerts and operas and is a national and international must-see attraction.
