Beautiful Maison De Maitre in heart of pretty village

Welcome to our holiday home in the heart of Normandy. The house has a lovely family feel, with everything you need for a fabulous holiday right on the doorstep. The nearest boulangerie is a 2 minute stroll away and there is a well-stocked supermarket within easy walking distance. The house is comfortably and tastefully furnished and we hope that you will feel at home here. On the ground floor you will find a large utility room, family kitchen-diner, two reception rooms and downstairs toilet.

The first floor has three bedrooms and a family bathroom, and on the second floor there are two bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room. Outside there is a fully enclosed townhouse garden with sunny patio and separate dining area. There is an on-street parking bay at the rear of the house.

If you're looking for a wonderful base to explore Normandy, where you can also experience authentic village life, this is the perfect house for you. There's plenty to keep you busy in St Sever itself with a friendly bar, cafe, historic abbey and a beautiful forest all within easy walking distance. The house is perfectly situated for days out on your bike. So lots to enjoy!

Please note: this is a two-storey house and the stairs may not be ideal for the less mobile.

Lovely stay in a nice village

We had a great stay here, it was perfect for us and all the family. We had a whole range of ages, from 3 right up to 63! There were 10 of us in total (5 adults and 5 children) we found it to be a great base for all the places we wanted to visit. We went to Normandy D-day landings (Arromanches), Bayeux, Mont St Michel, Chateau De Le Motte Hussain & Laval to name a few! We enjoyed a little stroll to the local bakery most days for fresh bread and cakes 😋 Unfortunately the local village pool was out of action for refurbishment at the time, but it didn't matter too much as we were so busy with our excursions!

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus mit vielen Schlafzimmern, super geeignet für zwei Familien

Uns hat es super in dem Haus gefallen, die Einrichtung ist liebevoll, jedes Zimmer hat einen eigenen Stil. Bei der Großzügigkeit der Räumlichkeiten kann man es sich selbst bei nicht so gutem Wetter recht gemütlich machen. Ein absoluter Hit ist das nahe gelegene Schwimmbad (geöffnet im Juli und August) und die Köstlichkeiten der Boulangerie :-) Das Haus hat voll unseren Erwartungen entsprochen, wir können es gut weiter empfehlen!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au sein de votre propriété, celle-ci correspondant à nos attentes tant au niveau commodité des lieux que de son agencement, elle est agréable à vivre et dispose de l'essentiel en matière de confort (lave-linge, lave-vaisselle…) les points que nous avons déploré sont le manque d'ustensiles de cuisine ( casseroles, mixe-soupe) ainsi que l'imprégnation du très joli mobilier par des odeurs de présence animale> vous possédez de très jolis tapis et tapisseries et il est vrai que nous sommes très stricte sur l'hygiène. Peut-être faudrait-il veiller à renouveler la serrure de la porte d'entrée car nous avons eu des difficultés à fermer la porte (rouille) et comme vous le savez nous n'avons pas su refermer le coffre-fort. (pas su joindre votre gouvernante à ce moment). J'espère ne pas vous avoir offusqué mais je pense important de vous en faire part afin que vous puissiez l'améliorer car votre propriété à énormément de potentiel. We are a family of four with two lively spaniels. We have been holidaying in France for years and recently decided to take the plunge and buy a property here in Normandy. We chose this area initially because it is so close to transport links to the UK, but we quickly discovered that this part of France is a wonderful gem that has something to offer for travellers of every age and interest.

Why they chose this property

We wanted a house that we would be happy to return to again and again in an area with plenty to do for all the family. When we saw this house we instantly fell in love!

What makes this property unique

This house is in the heart of an authentic French village and a stay here will give you a real taste of France. We wanted to buy a property where we could feel at home and this house has everything we were looking for. There's lots of space for all the family, with all the modern amenities we're used to. The enclosed garden is safe for children and pets, and there is so much to do in the surrounding area, whatever the weather, we guarantee you wont be bored.
