We had an amazing time at this resort, the kids wanted to stay in the whole time they didn't want to move. Lol the only thing I that we didn't get to do was swim the pool was closed.
My family stayed here this last week. The property was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. The area was nice and quiet, but close enough to the main areas of town.
I picked this property because we originally had 5 people, two couples and 1 single and they each would have their own bathroom. It ended up being just the two of us but everything was clean and neat! We hated that the lake was so low though!
We didn't realize the "resort" was so far from the main roads to Sevierville & Dolly Parton Hwy! Roads to cabins were very curvy to say the least. Cabin was very nice but not much parking.
Before I give my say, I do want to say that I would definitely stay here again...IF it is cleaner. Overall, this place is great. Bathrooms were pretty clean...on the immediate surfaces. Such as sink tops, commodes and tubs. Same with all the other rooms in the house. Immediate surfaces clean. Clean linens and towels. All that was great. But, the oven was very dirty with baked on foods. It smoked when we tried to bake biscuits. It was in major need of cleaning. The grill on the back deck was in the same condition. We had to clean the grids with oven cleaner before we could cook on it. But the burners were covered in grease so terrible, that it lit up in flames the whole time I was cooking on it. I just used it the one time, to grill some pork chops. I didn’t try to use it any more. And dust was a problem. All the higher places, such as door and window facings and the fireplace mantle, had very heavy dust on them. I have allergies, dust being one of them. And I became congested quickly after day one, and stayed that way the rest of my time there. I would like to say, "Yes," I would definitely stay here again. But the cleanliness would have to improve. I asked the owner in the beginning, if there was a military discount, as I am a disabled veteran. The owner stated that he tries to keep his rate low for everybody. But, while his price was very impressive, compared to others, I feel that, for the price we had to pay for this cabin, it should have been much cleaner than what it
My family of 4 stayed for a week at Bill and Pam’s cottage. My daughters were excited to have their own bathroom and loved their rooms. The accommodations were great. The couches were a little well loved but other than that the deck, hot tub, grill and seating were great. We had a nice view of the lake and Smokey’s. My husband enjoyed fishing and we enjoyed swimming. We had a wonderful time!
This is a beautiful cabin with plentiful room. We enjoyed the back porch and the hot tub. The home is well stocked with everything you need .our gratitude to the Foxx family for sharing their home with us.
The listing mentions boat docks on a first come/first serve basis and this was not the case. The only dock was an hour limit. My 10 month old was crawling on the carpeted floors and his feet and toys were black with dirt after just a couple minutes. The showers were not cleaned prior to our arrival, hair was still in both of the showers. The beds were fairly uncomfortable. The views of Douglas Lake are very limited, at best.
We came down for a quick long weekend. We had never explored the lakes at the Smokies and man, we we missing out! The views are amazing, access is simple, and even door dash if needed. The host was very responsive as was maintenance when there was a issue with water pressure. There is a beautiful loft area that is bare, it would have been nice to have seating there to look out the huge window.

Very little view and that is being nice
Maybe I miss understood, thought the cabin was right on the lake it is not, the parking is not, that is why there was no pictures of the out side of the cabin from the road. The cabin very nice inside, but the furniture looks great in photos but very uncomfortable to us as a older couple.
I think I spent most of my time sitting in the swing taking in the small view of the lake and the trees, or in the hot tub! We had a great stay. Was so quiet and peaceful during the week. Friday night it was much more noisy, no fault of the owners. Bill was quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay again! Only suggestion would be some string lights near the hot tub for ambience and so it wouldn't be so dark in that corner.
