Skaneateles Lakefront Getaway

Charming lake view cottage on the tranquil southern end of Skaneateles Lake with 100 feet of lake frontage and a boathouse right on the water. Perfect for enjoying the lake and forgetting your troubles. Unique property with rare easy access to the lake by foot or by car. Open floor plan with french doors leading out to huge deck from sun-filled living room and master bedroom with spectacular views of lake. Also has a second bedroom with 2 twin beds plus a front room with a day bed that opens to a queen bed for additional sleeping options. Fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer, country dining table, comfortable seating for 6 and a gas fireplace.

Boathouse furnished with fun and comfort in mind. Sliding glass doors open to double boat slip. Large wooden deck at water level with colorful Adirondack chairs. Lakeside fire pit perfect for grilling and roasting marshmallows. Full boat slip with ample additional dock frontage for tying up your fleet of small boats.

Unusually easy car access to the lake - drive down to the boathouse right to the water's edge. You can launch your boat from the Scott Park public boat launch, a 1/2 mile from the house or, if the water level in the lake is low, you can use the Skaneateles Marina in Mandana, a 10 minute drive up the lake. Please note there is a small, quiet road between the main house and the boat house. And while we are very dog-friendly, we do have a one-dog maximum per renter and the dog must be small, house-broken and well trained.

Lovely cottage

Clean and well equipped cottage with a good layout and lovely views of the lake. The area was very quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed the use of the kayaks from which we were able to get quite close to a number of bald eagles.

Perfect spot!

We rented this cottage for 3 friends because our lake place is so small. This has level lakefront, good parking, huge deck, cute cottage on gorgeous Skaneateles Lake. Who could ask for more? Would definitely rent this place again.

Love this charming lake home!

I’m hesitant to saying what a great place this is because I don’t want competition for future years 😊. We just loved it, so we’ll appointed - a little retro, mid century, cottagy decor with all the modern amenities one could need.

Family vacation

This was my family’s third summer staying here and we had a wonderful time, as always. The house is amazing - there are lake views from the entire front side and the sun just pours in. The bathroom and kitchen are clean and well stocked, and the house is decorated and furnished in such an inviting way. We had a blast jumping off the dock into the clear water and using the kayaks and paddle boards that are provided

Another great stay

This is our second year at this house. It is clean, well maintained and exactly as advertised. The water front is fantastic. Tons of room for all of your toys Added bonus - we pack our clothes and food - the house has everything else Eric is fantastic and we have already booked for next year

A week in June……

The property was exactly as described. The house was very clean and comfortable and the shoreline and boathouse were great places to relax, swim and kayak. And the patio off the front of the house provided an amazing view of this incredibly clean/clear lake.

Peaceful escape
