Comfy, cosy, quiet and peaceful cottage and surroundings
Spacious cottage with everything we needed.
Local town and beaches nearby
Would highly recommend
Thank you
We loved this cottage straight away it had a lovely feel to it. Easy to find central for lots of places. Everything we could have needed and the beds were very comfortable. A nice quiet weekend break. We will be back.
We enjoyed the scenery and comfortable, warm cottage. The property was perfect for trips to the local farm and Hornsea, there was so much more we wanted to do! Next time :-) Thank you
We don’t usually stay in cottages and this is the first time we have booked with vrbo. If this lovely cottage is a representative of the standard available then no doubt we will book again. Everything as described, clean and comfy with lots of nice little touches eg shortbread
Stayed for 3 nights with my wife and elderly Mom over the bank holiday weekend. We all really enjoyed the cottage and it's location.
The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped, including lots of new cookware and sharp knives in the kitchen (not something I normally see in similar properties!). The WIFI was reliable and fast.
The village is very quiet and quaint and is just a short drive away from the coast at Hornsea.
The nearby garden centre is also fantastic and within walking distance and has lots of different products at good prices. The restaurant was also great.
The only two things that could be improved upon in our opinion are to have some extra blankets available as the duvets were quite thin. The TV also didn't seem to be able to show live TV. It works great for on demand but if you just wanted to scroll through some channels we couldn't find a way to do it!
Overall we loved our stay and would definitely like to stay again.
Spotless. Very welcoming, spacious, comfortable and quiet, set back from the charming village Main Street.
We enjoyed your interesting albums with photographs of the renovation and excellent information about the locality. Memorable view over red pantiled rooftops (and brick stacks with fine chimney pots) across a field of ripe golden barley from the back bedroom window.
Delightful preserved architectural features of an original 18th or early 19th century fireplace with basket grate and hobs and elaborate original painted surround also original cupboard and doors and architraves in the front bedroom. Pleased you were able to keep the original beaded beam in the ground floor back room.
The village has several attractive houses but the highlight is St Augustine's a church with too many features to describe here, not least the church hall originally a School for Girls endowed in 1818 by the incumbent Bentinck.
Thank you for the very well stocked kitchen including fresh milk and the Crawford's shortbread. How thoughtful. Everything was just perfect.
We would unreservedly recommend Meadow View Cottage and plan to visit again. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay in Sigglesthorne, the cottage is spacious and super-clean, and was a great base for Beverley, Bempton and Spurn Point. Burton Agnes proved to be a real gem, we spent the whole day there. Melanie gave us a lot of information on the local area and made for a great host, despite only messaging via the Vrbo website. Thanks very much for a great week Melanie!
The cottage has been renovated to a high standard with care and attention to detail. Very comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Smart TV and very decent Wi Fi. The location is peaceful and friendly and well situated for visiting nearby towns and attractions.
We loved this cottage, it's clean and comfortable. The shower is amazing and the bath is so great that we will be looking for a similar one for our own house.
The owner left Christmas presents for our two children, this was such a generous touch.
Thank you for everything
What a little gem of a cottage!!! It is a beautiful place to stay & set in lovely surroundings. We immediately felt at home, with the extra thoughtful touches the owner made. From the comfy beds to the fluffy towels, we loved every minute of our stay. Thankyou so much!!
A very clean, comfortable and absolutely beautiful cottage.
Look forward to staying again at some time. Very sad to be leaving. Thank you very much Melanie.

What a little gem!
We felt at home immediately in this beautiful cottage. The decoration is fantastic, it was immaculately clean & had everything you need for a comfortable stay! We stayed over New Year for a few days & had a wonderful, relaxing time. The milk, biscuits & chocolates that were left out for our arrival were a lovely touch & very much appreciated (especially by our two young sons!). Would not hesitate in staying here again or recommending to others.

Short break
Lovely cottage everything looks brand new and the quality is impressive we loved the decor and colours. Double bedroom had lovely views across fields and a comfy bed. Large twin room was lovely but beds were not that comfortable perhaps meant for children rather than adults? Area was quiet and always had parking outside cottage. Bathroom was lovely and bath nice and big for a relaxing bath after hospital visits to see our son. Downstairs shower was really good and nice and powerful. Kitchen had everything required and once again everything was quality. Dining room nice and spacious WiFi very good. Lounge was comfy and cosy could do with a coffee table as nowhere to put a drink. Would have preferred a normal tv to watch live TV as smart tv kept buffering and freezing. The price Melanie charges could be a lot more you certainly get beautiful accommodation for a very reasonable price. Location was 30 mins to Castle Hill Hospital Cottingham which was the reason for our trip. Lovely welcome biscuits and milk too and an early check in. Thanks Melanie

A beautiful cottage where it was a delight to stay.
Everything in the cottage was new and well appointed.
As you have specifically asked for ideas for improvements, I would suggest a shelf in the bathrooms for visitors' toiletries and perhaps a small coffee table in the living room.
However, these are just minor things which I wouldn't have mentioned unless asked.
The stay was relaxing and we felt very spoilt.
