THE PROPERTY IS LOCATED IN THE CHORA (THE "CAPITAL") OF SERIFOS.
THE PROPERTY INCLUDES 2 HOUSES: THE WINDMILL, ORIGINALLY BUILT IN 1896 (FULLY RENOVATED) AND A SMALLER HOUSE. THE WINDMILL HAS TWO FLOORS: ON THE GROUND FLOOR THERE IS A SITTING AREA, A KITCHENETTE AND A BATHROOM. ON THE UPPER FLOOR THERE IS A BEDROOM WITH A DOUBLE BED.
THE SMALLER HOUSE HAS A BEDROOM, BATHROOM AND FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN.
THERE IS MOBILE INTERNET CONNECTION AND WASHING MACHINE.
THE CHORA OF SERIFOS IS LOCATED JUST 5 KM FROM THE PORT AND IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VILLAGES OF THE CYCLADES.

Unique place with stunning views

Both the property and the host are very special - the location has an amazing view, inside the windmill is perfectly restored and the independant house for the children makes it a great place!

Why they chose this property

THIS IS A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE. IT IS ONE OF 180 GRINDING WINDMILLS OF THE CYCLADIC ISLANDS. IT IS A HISTORICAL MONUMENT (AS DECLARED BY THE GREEK MINISTRY OF CULTURE). ORIGINALLY BUILT IN 1896, IT HAS BEEN BEAUTIFULLY CONVERTED INTO A RESIDENCE WHILE PRESERVING ITS MAIN FEATURES. THE WALLS ARE MADE OF STONE. THE STONE STAIRCASE HAS BEEN KEPT INTACT. THE WOODEN ROOF, THE WHEEL OF THE MILL AND ITS MECHANISM WERE RECONSTRUCTED IN EXACTLY THE SAME WAY BY LOCAL CRAFTSMEN. THE SMALLER HOUSE, WHICH WAS USED BY THE MILLER, IS BUILT IN THE EXACT SAME POSITION AS THE ORIGINAL ONE.
