Upperdeck a real home from home with a guest book full of lovely comments.
We are located within a 5 minute drive of 7 stunning beaches found between Padstow and Park Head. Upperdeck offers flexible accommodation for families with 2 wonderfully spacious bedrooms both ensuite on the ground floor with the option of having 2 Z beds for any young visitors. One bedroom has a king size bed , the other bedroom has twin beds with the option of being zipped together to make a 6 ft bed. A utility room .Triple aspect lounge makes for a comfortable and relaxing area, TV, DVD, with doors out to large decked area with BBQ. and garden furniture . Upstairs find a well equipped kitchen, a large oak dining table with seating for 6 plus a second comfortable lounge. The facilities on St Merryn Park all only a 2 minute walk from Upperdeck include sports bar; bar & restaurant serving food every day and evenings with evening entertainment , shop and tennis courts .An enclosed dog walking park. Also children's park .Upperdeck's lovely quiet enclosed garden and patio provides a lovely relaxed setting for an early morning coffee or a late afternoon/early evening glass of wine. We feel sure you will be more than happy with your holiday at Upperdeck. Bookings are on a weekly basis only.

Once again Upper Deck fulfilled our expectations and also exceeded them. We booked our Christmas away this year and UD was very 'Christmassy' which made it a special holiday. Thanks to the hosts for this special touch.

A big birthday celebration

Lovely quiet location with the added bonus of a big garden all fully enclosed ideal for pets. A well looked after holiday property. Not far from some gorgeous beaches. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Our negative points were: The stairs are very narrow towards the bottom anyone with limited mobility might struggle. We all found the pillows a little flat and uncomfortable. The shower en suite was quite cold despite the heated towel rail, there appeared to be an electric fan on the wall but we couldn’t find how it worked. The mattress on one of the single beds was a bit tired. Despite these small issues we all had a lovely time. The little nook up stairs where the kitchen diner is was lovely The seating up there was comfy and cosy. The kitchen and dining area are very good. Lots of kitchen utensils. The two bedrooms downstairs are huge both en-suite. The house was always cosy and warm. Useful utility room downstairs. All in all a really nice house for a holiday.

We very much enjoyed our 2 week stay. Everything we needed was there and assisstance was at hand when required. It was great for our fog as garden and living room were easy access. BBQ was spot on. Very clean and tidy on arrival . Thanks for a wonderful 2 weeks.

Great place to stay

Great location near the beaches. Upper Deck is located in a quiet holiday park. The property was spacious and well equipped with a wrap around garden which was great for the dogs. Hosts communication was excellent and they left scones with jam and clotted cream upon arrival. Overall we had a lovely visit.

This place is an excellent family home, great use of inside and outside space. This is one of the best houses we’ve stayed in and it’s a great location. Hosts very friendly and accommodating and left clotted creams, jam and scones! Highly recommend

Always fantastic at upper deck!

Our third stay! Upper deck is perfect for what we need and want, bedrooms are lovely and large, both with ensuites is an added bonus. Comfy beds and plenty of storage space. Downstairs lounge is comfy and lovely to sit down after a long walk along the beaches. The kitchen is well equiped with everything we have ever needed. And the new sofa chairs in the seating area up there are amazingly comfy, i sat and watched the colours of the sunset come through one night. Its peaceful, quiet and ian and lesley are always on hand if you need them. Amazing people. Cant wait to book our fourth visit soon. Thank you again.

The property was extremely spacious and clean, perfectly well equipped. Comfortable inside and out with a very safe wrap around garden for our dogs. Excellent location for the 7 bays. Interactions with the owners was excellent, they were in the adjacent property during our stay, they were accessible and very friendly albeit not intrusive in the slightest.

Great property in excellent location

Stayed for a week in this lovely house at the end of August. The property is big with lots of room for a family of 4. The upstairs kitchen and sitting area was a great space for family food / social / games. The house is really well equipped with everything you could need. Outside garden was lovely. And secure for our dog to roam. The location of this ‘holiday village’ was perfect for exploring the beaches and coastal walks along the north coast (some great beaches just 10 mins drive away), and easy 40 mins drive to the south, ie for hanging gardens of Heligan. Only one negative to feed back would be the poor / intermittent WiFi, which for two older teenage boys was a frustration. No mobile data signal either. And a smart TV would be a great addition to the property, then guests could log into their own streaming services for family viewing on evenings In! Would definitely recommend this property and stay again.

A super place to stay if you want to be near beaches etc. The only thing that was a negative was that the bus doesn't stop at the top of the road so we had to drive into St Merryn to cat h the bus. The property was faultless 😊

Review

Easy to find, nice enclosed garden safe for children and dogs. Would stay again. The layout was lovely and very big. Think the heating should be on for longer in the day as it goes off early and gets chilly quickly. The owners responded very quickly to put it back on though.

Our family have lived in Cornwall for over 30 years, although we enjoyed many holidays here before that.
Our 4 children have all grown up here and have stayed in the area, our grandchildren go to the local school, and they all love to go surfing (even in the winter).

Why they chose this property

We built this house in the year 2000, it has always been a happy house. It is a bit of a tardis with
2 large bedrooms both ensuite downstairs plus utility room and the main lounge.
Upstairs there is an open plan kitchen, dining area, and second lounge with comfy leather chairs.
