Evans House II Maisonette is 2-level, 2 bedroom house is fully renovated with respect to its more than 100 years old architectural design and a lot of attention to every detail, capable of accommodating 4-6 people. All modern facilities are provided, Jacuzzi, luxury bed mattresses, wifi, solar heated boiler, flat TV and A/C unit in all bedrooms and kitchen. At the ground floor there is the kitchen, the dining area, a 2 person sofa-bed well as the master bathroom with Jacuzzi. The 1st level bedroom has double bed, a private bathroom and small veranda and the 2nd level bedroom also has a double bed with panoramic sea view.

This century old heritage stone house in the heart of the city is fully restored with all modern amenities while keeping its old world charm. Situated in an easy to park street you’ll enjoy being right in the middle of the all the historic and touristic attractions without the road noise.

The space was restored keeping two things in mind, to provide modern amenities and comfort and to maintain the original heritage character of the building. The architect went to great lengths to restore, reuse and recycle much from the original structure, reclaimed wood and original tiles were refitted.

Great location & well equiped modern property

Really well done conversion retaining many original stone features. All modern fixtures & in a superb location 5 mins from the Venetian Harbour & Old Town. Also only 15mins from the centre of town & the bus station, market etc.

Beautiful property, terrible communication. Property has everything you need for a few days in Chania. Well-located, clean, and spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bad part: the morning of my flight to Chania, I checked my messages & realized that I had not received any check-in instructions (or indication of when I would). So I messaged host via VRBO to ask about check-in. I received a reply with the address and phone number to call, but in the message the VRBO website/app hides phone numbers so I could not see which number to call & I replied telling the host that. No reply from host. Then I messaged to say when I would arrive at the address they gave me. No reply from host. Then I knocked on the door of the exact address they gave me and was met by a very upset resident and her loud barking dog, & her telling me I'm in the wrong place. After wandering around the neighborhood another 30 min, tired, thirsty, & needing to use the bathroom, I remembered that the property has a dedicated website and had to search for a phone # to call on that site. The host answered the phone & said to go back to the place where we originally knocked and she will meet us there shortly, which she did. What was not disclosed prior to this is that property is located in the BACK of the building. When I told her about the hassle, she acknowledged that she saw my earlier message (but apparently ignored it) and said to me "I know" when I told her how confusing it was. No care or sympathy!

This was perfect for our family of 5. Close to the harbor and old town Chania. We were able to walk easily everywhere we wanted to go within Chania. We rented a car to drive to the beaches and parking was no issue. There are public parking lots very close. The apartment itself was lovely. It had everything we needed. Including a washer in the apartment for us to do laundry. Would definitely stay again if ever in Chania again.

Our main goal is to help our guests experience the genuine Cretan lifestyle, culture and hospitality. We treat our guests as friends and we always do our best to make their stay in Chania a unique experience.



My wife is a school teacher and we have 4 kids, 3 boys and a girl.

I have a MSC in computer engineering and my main occupation is software analyst developer.

Why they chose this property

You will really enjoy the property’s location, the area is called “Koum Kapi”, there is a swimmable beach at 50 meters distance and it is a few minutes walk from Chania center, the famous Venetian Old Port as well as many cafeterias and restaurants.

The area of Koum Kapi has the privilege of providing a swimmable beach and it is at a walking distance from the Chania center, Chania Old city, the Venetian Port and all the other Chania city sights. Along the beach there are many high quality cafeterias and restaurants with local cuisine that are open every day from early in the morning until late in the night. Parking is also available at several streets of the area as well as at nearby parking lots.
