We loved our stay at this villa in Ver Sur Mer - beautiful and lovingly restored. The backyard was incredible and so peaceful for homecooked dinner after a day of touring the WWII sites and beaches. David was a fabulous host and made our stay easy and comfortable. Merci!
Historic house. Unique experience. Linens need to be replaced. Better lighting in the kitchen. Better instructions for amenities. Couldn’t figure out how to operate oven.
The house was spacious and clean. Our hosts were quick to answer our questions and were very accommodating. Would definitely stay again. There was a 100Euro additional charge to use the hot tub, but well worth it.
We wanted a nice house to stay in while in Normandy, not in a big city. This was perfect! A renovated 1800 century home with all the modern amenities. We had rental cars and toured all the local sites from this location. It fit both rental cars. The owners are amazing and so helpful too! We highly recommend this house.

Charming Home Near Bayeaux and DDay Beaches
We had a lovely stay in June 2013 in this pretty home about a 15 min drive from Bayeaux and very close to Gold Beach. The house is as described, the pictures are very accurate. The home was very clean, the garden is beautiful and our family of 6 was very comfortable. Nathalie and David were very accomodating and helpful with arrangements and Bridget the neighbor, the local host, was absolutely charming and incredibly patient give our very poor French capabilities. The surrounding area is beautiful--we enjoyed seeing the WWII sites as well as the city of Bayeaux. We would certainly stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home in Normandy. We were 2 families with 3 teenagers, 7 in total. The setting was absolutely lovely, with space for all.
David and his wife were there to meet us and walk through the property. They answered all of our questions and were very helpful overall.
The home is full of charm and character - a very unique experience. We rented a car and were able to see many of the sites and beaches, which were an important part of our trip.
We would definitely stay here again.
The farmhouse was a great experience for our family. The character and layout had us wondering what life was like there in the 18th century but we still had all the amenities we enjoy today including a hot tub that our younger daughter loved. Plenty of room and ample kitchen which allowed us to cook after long days touring all of Normandy. Our travels were delayed so we did not meet our host so check in and parking was a bit confusing but that was not their fault. If the same thing happens to you on a future stay, it's street parking a few feet up from the house. Once we figured that out, everything was great.
We all enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this old typically French house with its corridor’s and staircases.
The kitchen was fine for the four of us but would be a squeeze for larger groups.
The garden and hot tub were just perfect to relax in and with such lovely weather, we spent most evenings at the table in the garden playing board games. I wouldn’t assume that you could work on line from this house as the internet service was poor but for us it didn’t matter.
The village is perfectly situated for visits to the beach, local restaurants and the War Memorials. I would happily recommend this as a holiday home in a beautiful part of France.
First of all - the home is in a very small village --- we did have to travel about 5 -8 minutes by car to get groceries - resturants, etc. Note :Restaurants on a Sat closed at 9pm The positives - lots of clean rooms - fully equipped kitchen - hot showers/bathtub - beautiful outdoor garden in back. Parking was sufficient for 1 or 2 cars. In a very quiet village (next to a travel road, we didn't hear much traffic). If you want to cook, nice small gas stove and electric oven. Coffee maker using regular grounds --- toaster was nice to have. Refrigerator in kitchen is small but there is a larger one in the back of house. Piano in one room. Nice sitting rooms TV not in main area - but in a small sitting area. Bedroom up 2nd flight had a shower (no toilet or sink). The other bedroom had a small sofa, bed (mattress was uncomfortable) The negatives - The mattresses on the beds --- Their were four of us traveling together - we each had our own room, but found the mattresses were not comfortable at all --- therefore, 3 out 4 of us moved downstairs to sofa beds which served us well, which is unfortunate because this home has everything else....but a good nights sleep was very important to us. The only other negative and I think this is a french way of doing things --- the towels were plentiful, but would take off a layer of skin with the roughness..... I ended up washing our towels and using fabric softener to get a better feel.....problem solved.

Lovely comfortable house, nice area
We really enjoyed our stay in Ver-sur-Mer. The house was just as good as it looks in the photos - lots of character, but clean and comfortable. Nathalie was very responsive and helpful both before and during our visit. The garden is a little smaller than it looks in the photos, but it is a sun trap and we were lucky enough to be able to sit in the sun from breakfast at 7am until dinner at 8pm. The village of Ver-sur-Mer was surprisingly nice and had a lot of character. Despite the house being surrounded by other houses it is very quiet and the garden is very private with lots of birdsong. The village is very spread out and there aren't many local facilities - a basic boulangerie, mini-market and tabac about 15 mins walk away. The beach is about 30 minutes walk, though we did cycle a couple of times - 2 or 3 of the bikes work, but most have faulty brakes and/or gears. The nearby town of Courseulles was nicer than expected - it has a lot of holiday apartments but also lots of nice restaurants and a good fish market every day. We bought fresh fish in the market several mornings and barbequed it for lunch and dinner - very good prices for excellent fish, filleted and prepared for cooking by the fishmonger. The local seaside towns are clearly popular with French holidaymakers, but we saw very few other English cars or foreign tourists. The surrounding area is very rural, with huge wheatfields and combine-harvesters and tractors working 20 hours a day in August. Be aware that there is NO parking either at the house or on the road immediately outside. We were disappointed to only discover this when we arrived with 2 cars which we had to park 150m away at the edge of the village. Also the local contact is a bit unreliable - even though we arrived and left at the agreed times she wasn't there either time. We had 6 adults and we had plenty of space, although there is only one toilet (two shower-rooms) for 5 bedrooms. While in theory the house could sleep 12 (or even 14 at a push) the bathroom and kitchen facilities wouldn't really cope with this. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay - the house was better than we expected and I would happily recommend it.

To be precise :
Our house gets two toilets and not only one. The places to park the cars are 50 meters away only.
