Nice place, loved the location with relatives in Iola. View is wonderful and environment very relaxing. Hosts were excellent and obviously care about keeping the place welcoming and enjoyable. We will be back.

If you enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and plenty of nature,this is your place! We fully appreciated the small details that made the place That 70s House. Unwind and relax with a fire by the mill pond or go for a paddle! Great picture opportunities and fun activities for the entire family. We will definitely be back!!

Had a wonderful stay!! The home is perfect for a lake vacation with all the essentials you need. The 3 seasons room was perfect for when it was rainy or we wanted shade mid day.We really enjoyed the pedal boat and kayaks. Highly reccomend and we are hoping to stay again!

Fantastic place to stay if you find yourself in Iola. I’m positive any one of any age will enjoy staying here. However, if you were alive in the 1970’s this place is a real gem. A complete time capsule down to the last detail. Greg & Kim have done an amazing job at curating authentic everything. The house was a high light of our trip. It is truly a treat.

Great, place and perfect for 2-4 people. Plenty of cookware if you are cooking on site and always plenty of charcoal. Great views over the mill pond. Very quiet cul-de-sac. There is a small gun club just across the lake behind some trees so there are occasional gun shots but generally not very disruptive. Very clean and comfortable place!

Retro getaway

We stayed here the week following our wedding to relax. The property was so cute and fun. We played games, kayaked, and rode the his and hers bikes to the local ice cream shop.

We love coming to this locale. Quiet, peaceful...we use the water craft, ride bikes (esp to ScandiHus), go to various local restaurants and such. Build memories every time.

Relaxing

This property was wonderful, unique and clean. Being right by the lake was very peaceful, and the host included many recreational items for use during our stay. Walking or biking distance from the town and award winning golf course was an extra bonus. Only compliments from my family during our stay and the hosts were quick to respond with any questions. Would definitely stay again :)

Best girls weekend ever!

Stayed here over a quiet weekend with a couple of girlfriends, was just the escape we needed! Area was very quiet and peaceful and provided with plenty of amenities to enjoy the water, we opted for a paddle boat ride! The property was in pristine condition, and so cute and comfortable! Felt just like being back in the 70s! Hosts were easy to communicate with and you can tell they take great pride in this hidden gem! Will definitely visit again!

A very nice getaway

The house was exactly as described with all of the bells and whistles. Communication was great and Kathy and Greg answered any questions promptly. Iola has some very nice little restaurants and parks. Any residents we met were very friendly.

We had an incredible stay at this 70s-themed lake house on Lake Iola! The retro décor made the place feel super fun and unique, and the setting was absolutely peaceful. We spent our days kayaking and canoeing around the lake (all provided by the property), biking into town, fishing off the dock, and grilling out in the evenings.One of the highlights was seeing a bald eagle swoop down and almost catch another bird right over the water — such an amazing sight! We also checked out some great local spots for bowling and golfing, which made the trip even better.Everything about the house and location made it the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend this stay — we’ll definitely be coming back!

Unique property with great hosts

Terrific house and Greg and Kathy were very informative and helpful. Should be noted that there is no WiFi, though we were able to get T-Mobile 5G service, albeit somewhat spotty. Also note that the "lake' is really a large pond with 80ish% coverage of water lilies. Since we were not swimming, we actually enjoyed getting to know the ecosystem of birds, bullfrogs, dragonflies, etc. Overall, really a great stay.
