Thanks Graysen to you and your beautiful family for having choose my accommodation for your vacation.. I was glad to meet you all and you are an amazing guest. Hope to see you again in the future :-)
My mom has wanted a family trip to Italy for years. In her ideal trip, it was with the family, staying at a Tuscan villa, and renewing her vows to her husband of 25 years.
Because of Beatrice, her property, and her connections, everything in her imagination was able to come true.
Beatrice - Thank you for everything. We will remember our trip for always.

Immersed in Tuscany
While Il Vichiaccio is a bit rustic for my taste, it was definitely as advertised. A great location (only a few minutes drive to Greve-in-Chianti for shopping and restaurants) and just a short hop to Firenze. Beatrice is an outstanding hostess and offered us much welcomed advice on her favorite wineries, where to get the best deals on leather, and even how to find the outlet mall near Bologna. She offered patient instruction on use of the washing machine and was always available for any needs.
Beatrice was wonderful We were enchanted by the home and it's beautiful location
Would recommend this place to anyone

Thanks Lynn for choosing my accomodation for your holidays. You and your group are wonderful and it was a pleasure to have you as my guests.
Hope to see you again at Il Vichiaccio in the next future.
Our party of 11 stayed at this property in July of 2019. The building was in the exact condition as VRBO pictures indicated. What the pictures didn't tell is how beautiful the surrounding Tuscany hillside is surrounding this property. We enjoyed every minute of our 4 night stay and would consider this property for a return visit.
The owner, Beatrice, was very accommodating to our delayed arrival time. She also provided EXCELLENT information to assist with our travels while in the region. I would HIGHLY recommend this VRBO to anyone looking to stay in the Tuscany region and wish for the relaxed, spacious peace the property provides.
We so enjoyed our stay at the villa! Bea is terrific, so accommodating and helpful! We decided to have her prepare a meal for our group one evening which was one of the highlights of our trip!
We loved visiting the wineries nearby and going into Greve. There’s a bus stop that’s walkable to take you to Florence which was simple to use and I would suggest but it is best to have a car in this area to really explore the great small towns and wineries.
I would highly recommend the house and the area!

Heaven in Tuscany
After arriving at Il Vichiaccio 5 hrs late due to a lost passport in Venice, we were extremely stressed And driving in the dark. GPS got us close But stopped short of our destination. We called Beatrice to ask for directions and instead she offered to come out personally and guide us to the Villa. It was like finding an angel in the dark. She turned a totally frustrating trip into an Extremely enjoyable experience .After getting us back to the villa and unloading the luggage it was already 10 PM but we were starving. She offered to make reservations at a local Restaurant, take us there AND pick us up when we were done... which wasn’t until approximately 12 AM. When we woke the next morning and saw the beautiful Tuscan sunrise we were in awe!! It was the first time we were experiencing the views from our bedrooms. The pictures on the VRBO website do not do this place justice. It is something that you have to see in person. The open air market in Greve that Beatrice suggested was awesome! We purchased fresh fruit, vegetables and meat to prepare a wonderful meal on the old stone barbecue back at the Villa. Both clean and beautiful this VRBO offered a warm and comfortable atmosphere. We spent time in the hot tub after dinner sipping wine and enjoying the sunset. The next day we set out to sightsee in Florence. She suggested taking a trolley instead of driving into the city. Another great suggestion. Our trip consisted of three separate VRBO‘s. One in Venice, one in Rome, and The one in Tuscany. The Tuscan villa by far was my favorite!! Beatrice, thank you for the Tuscan experience!! We love you!!

Lovely house and gorgeous setting. Owner very welcoming and helpful
We stayed 2 nights and it was very nice. Beatrice greeted us on arrival and some good English and was very informative. We were also greeted with a bottle of red wine from the vine yards surrounding the house.
House is lovely ,and rustic but still has modern functionality. Hot tub was lovely in the evening also. Would definitely go back. Only point of note is don't forget the insect repellent.

Natale senza precedenti

Charming property and owners
We were only able to stay two night here but loved every minute of it. Beatrice and her husband were so helpful in getting us settled and answering any questions or providing suggestions for restaurants, etc. The house is charming and furnished with everything needed. The location surrounded by vineyards was perfect, and convenient to exploring Tuscany. Highly recommended!

Beautiful property and amenities
Our family of 10, including 2 infants and 2 kids, stayed the San Angelo house. It was very spacious and had enough bedrooms and sleeping quarters for everyone. There is no common areas except for the kitchen so we had to hang out there which isn't a bad thing since someone is always eating anyway! The pool is great and very picturesque! We used the jacuzzi to cool down (didn't turn on the heat function) with a drink after a long hot day because it had massaging jets.
We enjoyed the outdoor spaces until twilight but had to go inside because of the mosquitoes. The house was semi-cool since it's made of stone but it's warmed up being in the sun all day. There is no A/C but we were out for most of the day anyway so it wasn't necessary. There were mosquito nets on every window so you could sleep with the windows open for better ventilation.
Laundry was a very much a necessity for us but everything had to be hung dry which wasn't an issue in the 35 degree sun!

Maravilloso
Grazie Beatrice! È stata un'esperienza indimenticabile!

Clean and cmfortable: time well spent.
We were a group of ten family members ages 1 to 72 traveling together in Italy. We chose Beatrice's property based on her ad and her reviews. In no way were we disappointed during our stay. The rustically beautiful apartment was as advertised, quite clean and adequately stocked with essentials. It easily housed all of us comfortably. We split into three logical groups in the three bedrooms but congregated mostly on the first floor in the kitchen area. It was easily large enough for all of us to prepare food and sit to table together. The setting is picturesque and peaceful, right in the middle of several vineyards. The property itself is clean and well arranged for peaceful relaxation. And certain members enjoyed a fair amount of time in the hot tub. It was close enough to Florence and Pisa for day trips to both. The slice of Italian countryside we travelled through to and from Beatrice's was for me a real pleasure -- but then I was not the one driving. As an American encountering Italian back roads and small Italian towns and villages for the first time I was quite enthralled and pleased we had chosen this not so out of the way place. As a group we can unanimously recommend this property to anyone and everyone.

Ein Juwel in der schönen Toskana
Was soll man großartig schreiben.

15 jours en Toscane à renouveler sans aucun doute. Superbe gîte, très bien rénové dans l'esprit. La vue est superbe. Le jacuzzi ( nouveauté 2013) permet de se détendre après une journée de visite de Florence, Sienne ou Pise...Les propriétaires sont très sympa, conviviales et disponibles pour donner des infos sur leur région. Bref rendez vous dans 2ans pour renouveler l'expérience;

About the host
Hosted by Beatrice
Hello, I'm Beatrice, 51 years old. Me and my family: my husband Massimo, my two sons Matteo 19 and Giulia 14 years, Max the dog and two cats, we all live at Il Vichiaccio. I studied Fashion Design at Polimoda in Florence. I worked for over 20 years as Designer and Product manager for an international sportswear's company. My passion are books and Iyengar yoga! I would go every day to the movies. I love DIY and everything about manual creativity. I come from a traditional family and I learned to cook as a child. I know all the traditional Tuscan recipes. Obviously all these passions are an excuse to fill the house with books. 2012 all my life as changed: I started to be an host. You may wonder why? I do not know if you can call a series of unfortunate events, but I ended up traveling for work and now I guess the turning of the seasons by the changing colors of the vineyard. Il Vichiaccio was a dream for my husband and me: a place where to live and grow our children's surrounded by vineyards as if we lived in an everlasting holiday.
Why they chose this property
We felt in love with this very old typical Tuscan stone house in 2000. After about 8 years of restoration, we started to host. We furnished the house and all the external in the typical authentic Tuscan style, finding the furniture and objects in the antique markets. We chose each piece with passion, from the stones to the terracotta tiles of the floors, doors and wardrobes and iron beds. We wanted this place to become welcoming to us, for our friends and guests. We like to think that those who come to the Vichiaccio arrive as a guest and leave us as a friend.
What makes this property unique
The Vichiaccio Villa is located among the vineyards of the Chianti countryside and was built where once stood the ancient castle of Vicchio, now destroyed. The ruins can still be seen in the woods. The castle was located in a strategic position, on the road called of Strada dei Pecorai ,that in the medieval period was used to move, during winter, flocks of sheep from Pratomagno and Casentino to the Maremma, passing front of the church of Sant'Angelo Vico l’Abate . The Church contained precious paintings now kept in the Museum of Sacred Art in San Casciano Val di Pesa. With a short walk through the vineyards you can reach Castello Di Gabbiano, ancient residence of the noble family Soderini and today turned into a a prestigious wine production centre. In the area is also the Castelli del Grevepesa, a large winery that produces Chianti Classico where you can buy wine at the Enoteca. There are many restaurants and pizzerias within walking distance or by car. Mercatale Val di Pesa is the nearest village, which is about 7 kilometers away, where you can go shopping, buy a newspaper, take a coffee and buy typical products of Chianti, as well as finding the bank and the post office, but if you want in Il Ferrone,2 kilometers from the Vichiaccio, there is a food shop that sells a great bread and delicious meats and cheeses. San Casciano Val di Pesa is 10 kilometers and is the most important center. Here you can visit the weekly market which takes place on Monday Morning. Greve in Chianti to 14 kilometers is Considered the gateway to the Chianti region with its funnel-shaped Piazza Matteotti, surrounded by arcades with small shops selling local products and reataurants. Impruneta 8 kilometers is famous for its terracotta.
