About this property

La maison au calme - 2 guest rooms - Centre Alsace

Room furnished with a double bed, a wardrobe and a desk.
No kitchen, we offer breakfast at 7 €
Private bathroom.
Wireless.
We have many ideas from the region.

The house is located below the Wine Route, in a dead end, in the heart of a quiet area. We are ideally located for hiking departures.
The terrace, to which our visitors have access, overlooks a large garden.
We will welcome you with pleasure, to make you known
our village and our region.
We speak German and English

Châtenois is a tourist village, green resort, and village with 3 flowers.
Major events: Slow Up circuit (first Sunday in June) and medieval festival "La fête des remparts" (2nd Sunday in June).
This year, July 10, 2019, the Tour de France will be passing through our village.


The village is also close to Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr and Kaysersberg, cities known for their Christmas and spring markets in particular, as well as Colmar (25 km) and Strasbourg (50km).

Ste-Marie-aux-Mines, where the international exhibition "Mineral & Gem" takes place annually (June 27-30, 2019) and the patchwork crossroads (September 12-15, 2019), is 20 km away.
Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, one of the most visited sites in Alsace, is 10 km away. The Volerie des aigles and the Montagne des singes are also nearby.
The Europa Park, the largest seasonal amusement and leisure park in the world, is 40 km away and the German border 20 km.

The property was a very welcoming enviroment.

We had a wonderful stay and they were very eager to help with out travels. They pointed out things to do and how to get to places nearby. It is a bedroom within the family home but everyone is kind. They cooked us a wonderful French breakfast one morning.

Wonderfu; town wonderfu; host

Chatenois is a beautifi; Alastian village. Truly a gem. Friendly eateries and great white Riesling. The house we stayed in is very psacious, very comfortable very clean. The hostess is wonderfully hospitable and made us feel right at home. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. High;y recommended. We hope to stay again in the future.

The communication from Expedia was terrible. We received no check-in instructions and an incomplete address. When we arrived at the property street, we spent approximately an hour trying to locate the property. The property owner did not pick up our calls. When we finally found the property, the owner claimed that they had no record of our booking, despite us having paid in full just a few weeks before. The room that we eventually stayed in was being used by another guest. We contacted Expedia for a refund but they refused. We are very disappointed with Expedia. Clearly its systems did not work as the property owner did not expect us.

Excellent accueil. Quel intérieur harmonieux. Et alors petit déjeuner royal pour débuter la journée. Que du bonheur. Endroit calme en pleine campagne, mais proche de nombreux lieux touristiques à visiter.

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans une maison très bien tenue et d'une propreté irréprochable,l'accueil et la disponibilité de la famille Brunstein mérite une mention spécial. la chambre et la salle d'eau sont conforme a la description,le petit déjeuner est plus que copieux et varié ,bref aucun reproche à faire .
