Had both cottages and both were excellent. Comfy, clean, warm, well equipped. Location is great for all the known places of interest. Dogs enjoyed it too!
Beautiful cottages , very well equipped. Comfortable beds and good quality linen.
Excellent location within village with a very short walk to Red Lion inn which was very welcoming for our party of 10. Food was good and not overpriced.
A fantastic stay with all my family for my 80th birthday.
We had a lovely stay at this property to celebrate my dads 60th birthday. It is extremely well equipped and was spotlessly clean. Our only criticism would be that the sofa has seen better days and needs replacing (and is extremely low to the ground). Would definitely recommend and would stay again
Booking both properties gave us the opportunity for quiet times too. They were both fully equipped. Thank you so much for providing such an excellent location for our whole family to catch up. A week with treasured memories.
Booked these two excellent cottages for my husband's 75th. Stayed 4 nights 18-22 November 23. Well equipped, warm and in a lovely village. My two young gradsons loved the space and garden. Great walks for the dog too. Our only complaint was the red suite in the main cottage - needs replacing.
We had a wonderful stay at this wonderful property in Bridge! We had our grandparents with us, our 3 year old and one under one - and two dogs. The property had ample space and fantastic amenities, great walks for the dogs right at the top of the garden, and was well situated to enjoy all Bridge had to offer. It was clean, very comfortable and well maintained. James is a great host and was always on hand to help (not that we needed it). Cannot recommend more highly - will definitely be back
Fantastic week away in a great location, close to Canterbury and the coast but in a quiet village position. The properties were in excellent condition and very well stocked. The only minor point we would raise is the beds, while comfy, they wrere on the smaller double size which was a shame, particularly in the master bedroom. James as host was on hand if needed and the process for key pick up and collection was very quick and straightforward. Highly recommend!
Perfect accommodation, perfect host, perfect company
James was a very attentive host, any questions I had were answered quickly. The property was spotless and had every piece of equipment that you could need, we cooked a full roast and we had everything we needed. The open log fires were wonderful and the beds were beyond comfortable. The garden was perfect for the dogs to have a good run around in. Everything was perfect.
Lovely cottages. Rented for our daughter's wedding. Beautiful gardens and woods. Had two dogs with us who loved it as well as the kids in the party. Peaceful but near places to eat, drink and mini mart. James was a great host not intrusive but there when needed. Highly recommend these cottages. Thank you James for being a great host!
Perfect for two families wanting to share but also wanting privacy! The games room was a god send for the 12 yo kids and the location fantastic for exploring the area! We will be back for sure! (Oh and three pubs within walking distance made dinner choices easy though book in advance is my recommendation!)
We booked cottage for the family to attend a local wedding. It was lovely to have the games room and swing at the end of garden. Found a little walk from the back of garden as well. Both cottages were lovely and comfortable and spacious for amount of people.
Such a beautiful property In a lovely location, superb host
My my siblings and our partners stayed here for my sisters 30th for a long weekend and we had the best time. The house is absolutely stunning and so clean, we had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking , eating drinking and cleaning up.
The house had a separate section with bedrooms , bathroom , kitchen and lounge area which is perfect if you want some quiet time.
The attention to detail in the property was great and you can tell the host makes a real effort to make the guests happy and comfortable.
We couldn’t be happier with our stay, we wish we could have stayed longer.
Dog friendly and family friendly. I would highly recommend staying at this property, one of the best I’ve stayed in by far.
We had a wonderful stay, four generations staying together for Christmas. The house was lovely, the garden was enjoyed by the kids and dogs. The host was amazing, leaving us to it but letting us know he was available if needed.
The properties could do with a larger fridge freezer as we were accommodating for 10 people over Christmas.
We all had a lovely stay and really enjoyed ourselves and the property. Thank you James.
Great efficient friendly service. The cottages had everything you could need for 7 adults and 2 children. Good location to Winters Barn for wedding and Canterbury by bus. Would certainly book again if in area
This is a lovely place to stay. The cottages are beautiful and extremely well equipped and the location is great for exploring the Kent Countryside.
The buildings are the former school house and my wife actually attended the school, so was keen to stay !
We loved our stay here. The cottages are excellent, warm, cosy and clean and very peaceful. The garden was lovely and large and the swing was a big hit with the kids.
Close to Canterbury, so ideal for us. So easy to relax here, nice walking with dog, friendly locals and we will definitely come back.
The accommodation exceeded expectations let alone the outside space that we also have access too. The beds were comfy and pillows lovely and soft - everything about the cottage was amazing. We will definitely come back in the future
Lovely property well equipped. Two of the bedrooms are very cramped as is the downstairs shower room in Walnut. We're all in our 80's so a bit crotchedy. In fact a good property and wonderfully situated for Canterbury and the coast.
We rented both cottages for 5 adults and 4 children to stay. The cottages are beautiful with comfortable beds and high quality linen and bath towels provided.
The garden is incredible and beautifully maintained with the fantastic addition of a summerhouse with table football.
We had a wonderful stay and James was incredibly attentive, answering any questions straight away.
We hope to be back, it was just perfect.

Hi, I'm James. I was born in Kent, grew up in London, worked in Japan for over 20 years and moved back to the UK in 2012. I've sailed a lot over the years but recently do mostly long walks around the UK and around Bridge. I enjoy camping and staying in other people's holiday lets in the UK and France. I used to spend 14 hours a day in a suit but now I'm either digging, planting or painting a wall !
