Beautiful views. Home needs maintenance

We booked the property for our family of four. Incredible views from the large terrace and patio. The home itself is long in the tooth, especially the bathrooms. There was only one usable shower which was outside the living space in an attached laundry room. We could not sleep in the back bedroom after a few nights due to mold smells from the ensuite bathroom. We ended up checking out early and asked for a refund for the days we did not stay. Neither the owners or the property manager were helpful in this regard. Lastly, the parking spot provided was difficult to maneuver and we had to back into the space off of the main highway. Given the nightly rate, better parking should be provided.

Wonderful time on Amalfi Coast

Luigi and Anna’s place is a wonderful and scenic spot right on the coastline between San Pietro and Positano. The house is part of a larger family compound, while they are there, and will have a friendly chat (in Italian) with you, they will leave you alone. The pool was wonderful to relax and take in the views after sightseeing or before going out for dinner. We loved hanging out on the patio at breakfast and later in the afternoon. The rooms were spacious and the AC at night helped for sleeping. A note of caution, if you’ve not been to the Amalfi coast before driving can be challenging for Americans - and it’s also very mountainous. Getting from the road to the house requires a walk up a steep hill for about 300 feet. For us, we have been to the coast before so we knew what to expect and had a Wonderful time! Oh! Make sure you check out Luigi’s stand about 400 meters up the road toward San Pietro, best granita on the coast!
