Sleeps 6 . Can accommodate 8 (sofa bed).
A charming, rustic and private 3-bedroom, 2 bathroom Provençal villa with a swimming pool situated on 2500m2 of land in a quiet neighborhood just over 5 km from the medieval village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup.
The garden is completely enclosed with fencing for your privacy and security - great for kids & pets alike.
Property borders a forest.
South facing for maximum sunshine.
Valley views.
Driveway easily fits 3 cars.
Our home has an abundance of character.
We have a swimming pool 9 meters by 4 meters equipped with ladder as well as sun loungers to accommodate 8 people.
The views overlook the hills of the Gorge du Loup valley as well as the village of Bar sur Loup.
The pool and garden lighting are remote controlled for evening ambience.
There is a covered, summer kitchen where one can hang out. It is equipped with a Weber gas grill, a refrigerator, sink, dining table & chairs. Outdoor games include a foldable Ping Pong table, basketball hoop and Ring Toss.
The villa is comprised of 3 bedrooms. All three bedrooms are upstairs and have ceiling fans, standing fans, mosquito nets & built-in wardrobes (none are en-suite):
1) the master bedroom has a Californian King-sized bed
2) the second bedroom has a double bed
3) the third bedroom has a double bed
We have two bathrooms with separate toilets. One on each level. The upstairs bathroom has a bathtub and a sink. And the downstairs bathroom has a shower and a sink.
The lounge is very spacious with vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, an AC unit, TV, a host of board games and a dining area. The dining table doubles as a pool table if top is removed. The TV is set up as an IPTV. We also have an abundance of DVDs to choose from for adults and children alike. The sofa converts into a comfortable queen size bed.
The kitchen is very Provençal in design and equipped with an American style fridge/freezer (ice & water dispenser), oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, double sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, breakfast table and an AC unit.
Both kitchen and lounge areas have French doors leading onto a joint, covered terrace where you’ll find an outdoor dining table with a ceiling fan and access to the swimming pool.
We are a pet friendly home.
Our family home is only available for summer rentals as it is lived in by us the rest of the year.
We seek a relaxed clientele with positive energy.
Our home is warm, inviting and has a good vibe. It's the perfect place to chill out amongst a peaceful setting. We love to cook, so the kitchen is fully equipped. We spend most of our time chilling around the house listening to music, cooking, swimming, play cards, ping pong, board games, etc...
We have a dog so we go for walks daily. There are loads of places to walk - some on foot, some by car.
Unlike most homes in the area, the swimming pool is on the same level as the house so you can easily watch younger kids comfortably which is a huge plus.
We are about 5.6 km from our village of Tourrettes Sur Loup and 3.2 km from Pont du Loup.
Tourrettes Sur Loup is a very picturesque, clifftop medieval village famous for its Violet flower production.
Tourrettes sur loup is located between the mountains and the sea. It is up in the hills just 14 km from the coast between Nice and Cannes.
History of Tourrettes Sur Loup:
A tribe of Celtic Ligurians settled here the beginning of the 9th century B.C.. Later in 262 B.C. the Romans came to occupy «turres altea» (the observation point) which name would later give birth to «Tourrettes» and stayed until 476 A.D. when a period of 500 years of invasions began.
Pont du Loup is a tiny village that straddles the River Loup. It has a lovely restaurant, a local beer garden, a confectionery and a shop that offers fun river activities such as canyoning. The Pont du Loup was a tourist resort very popular with high society during the “Belle Epoque”. Queen Victoria came there regularly by train thanks to the Chemins de Fer de Provence line.
The grandiose arches of the viaduct spanning the Loup, the ruins of which can still be seen, were dynamited in 1944, causing the closure of the line.
To see: the confectionery workshops, the Loup site and its waterfalls.

About the host
Hosted by Tan Mentesh
I grew up in London and my wife is American. We decided a few years ago to take the opportunity to live and work in the South of France. Initially it was only for a year or two, but as we became more settled in the region i took a full time role with my company and decided to make Tourrettes Sur Loup our home. Our kids are bilingual and go to the local schools. Still to this day, I am amazed at how lucky we are to be living here. When I drive through the mountains or by the beaches and am still pleasantly surprised at how much i am still in awe with this region.
Why they chose this property
After I became full time, we decided to purchase our own home. We didn't want a brand new standard bland villa. We wanted something charming and Provençal. The villa we purchased was previously owned by a family who lived here for over 30 years. It had a great vibe and you could tell it was loved. Their only reason for selling was to downsize. Our home is rustic and charming with old beams in the ceiling of every room, high ceilings, fireplace, rustic kitchen area and a beautiful garden the kids can play in all year round. The pool was a must as it's used 6-7 months of the year. Olive trees, my favorite trees, surround the pool which was a big hit. We have been in this house for nearly 10 years and i get excited to come home every evening. We hope you will love it as much as we do.
