Gardener's Cottage - traditional Scottish property in stunning Glen Lyon
This attractive holiday cottage dates back to the 1800s. It is located with wonderful views of Glen Lyon, one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland. The area around the cottage is particularly enchanting as some of the photographs show, including dramatic hills, open fields, mature trees and the River Lyon. There is a wood fired hot tub in the private garden.
The cottage is both a perfect base from which to enjoy the surrounding countryside, and somewhere to enjoy a little quiet time away from the hectic hustle and bustle of life.

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche in dem großen alten Haus verbracht. Glen Lyon ist ein landschaftlich tolles Tal, wenig Tourismus, gute Ausflugs- und Wander-möglichkeiten. Abends kann man manchmal Wild beobachten. Eher für Selbstversorger geeignet, da Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten relativ weit entfernt sind.
Im Haus gab es leichte Abstriche: das Wasser in der Dusche floß schlecht ab, die Matratzen sind ziemlich alt, die Fenster waren länger nicht geputzt worden. Seltsam war, dass sich niemand blicken ließ, weder zur Begrüßung noch zwischendurch oder vor der Abreise. Die schriftliche Kommunikation hatte geklappt. Insgesamt hat es uns sehr gut gefallen.
