About the host
Hosted by Kim Wonders Dawson

Our family resides in the Bluegrass State. We are farmers, teachers, electricians and students. Growing up in a small town in Southern Indiana, I enjoyed many weekends on lakes and rivers with friends, which is where my dream of lake living began. We are available 24/7 to meet your needs.
Why they chose this property
Our family vacations have been spent on Lake Malone and larger lakes in Kentucky, but the large lakes were just too big for me to feel like my family was safe on the lake in a boat. This is why we chose Lake Malone for our family vacation home. Our first visit to Lake Malone was in 2007 and we have been searching for the 'perfect place' since that visit. We wanted enough space where our family could expand to different levels in the house, outdoor living space, a large dock, a gentle walk to the lake (the stairs are quite friendly), a waterfront space to have campfires right on the lake while night fishing, and in a calm area where boats are quietly passing. And we found it! If you haven't already, you will absolutely fall in love with Lake Malone!
What makes this property unique
Lake Malone is typically not affected by drought, flooding or algae issues like the larger lakes in Kentucky. It is a clean lake and our neighborhood has a family atmosphere. You will find beautiful rock formations and waterfalls, as well as otter, beaver, bald eagles, owls, blue heron and other wildlife.
