Welcome to Bonaire’s most iconic oceanfront “Blue” villa — where architectural art and luxury meet sustainability.
Gerard Prins (1929-2017), the esteemed Dutch architect who designed Villa Salentein, aimed to create a home that fits in with the beautiful blues of the Bonairean landscape. From its distinctive circular blue roof, to its open-air patio that makes you feel like you are in heaven while watching Bonaire’s glorious sunsets, to its ocean front-yard filled with gorgeous creatures and corals, to its six bedrooms all with ocean views — Villa Salentein is well-known on the island as one of the original beautiful homes in the Sabadeco neighborhood on the northern side of our nature-filled island.
Blue Villa
By becoming Bonaire’s first “Blue Villa” that attends to both nature AND guests, Salentein also fits into the Bonairean landscape beyond the surface level of how it looks. The island government has committed to becoming a “blue destination” — indicating its resolve to protect nature and work toward sustainability and conscientious development; we at Villa Salentein are embracing this ethos.
