Architecturally remodelled and renovated village house

Welcome to our beautiful holiday home on the Ile de Ré, Charente Maritime, France. La Retraite en Ré is a traditional village house renovated and remodelled. Finished to an exceptionally high standard it has been beautifully decorated and furnished in a contemporary manner. The house is in the centre of town very close to the famous black and white clock tower.

La Retraite en Ré can be cosy for two but can easily sleep up to 8 plus two infants. The house has a lounge with a leather sofa and recliners arranged around a modern log burner (logs provided for winter lets) and a 58inch 4KUHD Smart TV (including Netflix) with English Satellite TV . The kitchen is in dark grey with white composite stone work surfaces. Large Smeg built in fridge/freezer, Neff ovens, warming drawer and induction hob. Central island with sink and dishwasher.

The concrete interior dining table can seat up to 8 people.

Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, a family bathroom (with bath) and a shower room. There is another bedroom (sofa bed) across the courtyard (with a further English satellite TV) and another shower room. There is a laundry room containing a washing machine and separate tumble drier. Iron and ironing board are provided for your use. In the house are 3 showers, one bath and 4 WCs.

We can provide two cots and highchairs.

There are two dining areas outside. One on the ground floor courtyard with a table sitting up to 8 and one on the roof terrace. The roof terrace has a bar table with stools seating 4. There are 2 sun loungers as well as illuminated sofa, armchair and coffee table on the roof terrace.

All outside areas have attractive integral lighting. There is rear access to the house and outside areas so bicycles can easily be stored safely in the external areas behind lockable gated access.
