The villa is at, 4 km from the beach of Almyrida. The lovely village of Gavalochori is just 1800 metres from the villa, the centre of Vamos village is 1200 m. The location is perfect for relaxing holidays, and the villa is a perfect choice for those who love walking and experiencing the local lifestyle, as well as accessing easily the nearby sandy beaches. Eating at Vamos, Gavalochori and the surrounding villages, is a super highlight to locals and visitors, as the area is renown for its authentic cretan tavernas.

The airport of Chania is 35 km and the airport of Heraklion is 120 km. Near villages that also worth visiting are Douliana, Plaka and Kokino Chorio. Two amazing sights to see during your stay are the ancient Roman monuments at the village of Vamos and the folklore museum of Gavalochori.

HOW TO REACH SARAKINES VILLAS (ERATO LUXURY RESIDENCE) FROM HERAKLION

Exit and follow the signs to Rethymnon.
Stay on the National Road for 80 kms to Rethymnon and then keep on the National Road in the direction of Hania.
After about another 35 kms watch out for the signs right to Kalives.
Turn right at the sign to Armeni and Kalives.
Follow the sliproad downhill, and then turn right toward Kalives.
Continue to a T-junction with a laundry on your right and a pharmacy on left, turn right. Stay on this road for 50 metres. Bear right at sign “Rooms for rent Sofia”. Go up the hill and keep on this main road (you will see signs for Vamos village). Stay on this road for approximately 4 km and you arrive at Vamos Village.

Pass the church on the left and take the next turning left (after approximately 50 meters). Follow the road round to the right until you see a sign for the Health Centre, here turn left, continue for 1.6 kilometers and then take the track left, just after a large house on the left. After a few meters you will see the gate on your right.

HOW TO REACH SARAKINES VILLAS (ERATO LUXURY RESIDENCE) FROM CHANIA AIRPORT

Take the road out of Hania Airport and continue on this road for about 3 kms. Turn right at the signpost (roundabout) to Hania and keep on this road until you see a sign for Souda (roundabout). Take the left fork and go down a steep winding road. Stay on this road for 6 kms till you reach a built-up area with a kiosk on the left. When you reach a set of traffic lights (INKA supermarket on your right), turn right. After 200 metres turn left onto the main road from Souda, signposted to Rethymnon After 300 metres take slip road on the left, signposted to Rethymnon.
Stay on the motorway for about 10 kms. Turn left at the sign to Kalami/Kalives (small signs). Be careful as this is a high speed two lane motorway. Take the road down to Kalives. Continue into KalivesVillage, drive through the village, cross bridge over river, and pass Kalives Beach Hotel on the left. At the laundry, keep left (do not follow Rethymno sign). Stay on this road for 50 metres. Bear right at sign “Rooms for rent Sofia”. Go up the hill and keep on this main road (you will see signs for Vamos village). Stay on this road for approximately 4 km and you arrive at Vamos Village.
