We stayed for 3 days at this villa which is in a gated community and had a very relaxing stay, especially mid-week when there were very few people around. We met the host to check-in at the gate at 2 pm, and she took us through the gate and showed us the space.The highlight was the beautiful, quiet beach accessible by badging in with a key card. We also enjoyed the three pools, which are not heated (during our stay they were around 19–24C). There are some gym facilities available, although limited.The beach bar Moana was a great spot with ocean views and a relaxed atmosphere. We also explored the area, visiting the nearby Roman ruins, which can be entered independently, while guided tours require advance booking by email. We also took the ferry for a day trip to Setúbal.The listing advertised 4 bikes, but none were available during our stay (bikes can be rented for 18 per day). “Basic soaps” was listed as an amenity and hand soaps were provided, but shampoo and shower gel are not provided. Pool/beach towels, beach chairs, and laundry detergent are not provided.Instructions for the property were limited, and we did not receive guidance on accessing equipment for the pool table, tennis, or pickleball. The community sauna and steam bath were not operational and the AC was not working in the gym. Overall, a peaceful property in a great beach setting with strong potential, especially with more provided amenities & information on how to use the community facilities.
